Reviews for the Honor 9N (9i)

Honor 9N Review
Source: Mobygyaan English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
Wrapping things up, the Honor 9N offers a glass design, dual cameras, a notched display, a great selfie camera, and a featured EMUI 8.0 software. For the price of Rs 11,999, the Honor 9N has all that it got for a phone to offer.

80% Honor 9N review: A mid-range smartphone based on Honor 9 Lite, with a notch
Source: The Indian Express English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
Honor 9N is a good smartphone and most people who are planning to buy one will not regret their decision. As a reviewer, I observed that Honor has cut the corners to make the Honor 9N beat the competition. Honor 9N will go on sale for the first time in India for a starting price of Rs 11,999 for the base version (3GB RAM + 32GB) and it goes up to Rs 17,999 for the model with 4GB RAM and 128GB model. A model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will also be available in the market. That model is priced at Rs 13,999. Honor 9N is exclusive to Flipkart.

Honor 9N review: Impressive design and camera but not a Redmi Note 5 killer
Source: The Indian Express English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
With price starting at Rs 11,999, Honor 9N competes with Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. The phone doesn’t really outclass Redmi Note 5 in terms of overall performance and battery backup, but does have its own USPs – camera and premium design. If you’re looking for a phone that’s better looking, Honor 9N is worth considering. But performance and battery life are something you cannot compromise on, Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro continues to be our top recommendation.

75% Honor 9N review: Premium looks on a budget
Source: India Today English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
The Honor 9N, in case you haven't noticed, is a prettier Honor 9 Lite. It has the same core hardware, the same screen (albeit with a 19:9 aspect ratio), the same dual rear cameras and the same battery. The changes that it brings in have mostly to do with the all-round look and feel, as well as the selfie camera. Of course, there are now more configurations available for buying, but the thing about a phone like the Honor 9 Lite was that it was so very affordable. It still is. The Honor 9N, although it looks more premium and also it has a better equipped front camera, is also a bit more expensive.

70% Honor 9N review: Honor finally has an answer to Xiaomi
Source: Gadgets Now English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
The Honor 9N is a really good smartphone. We tested the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant which is priced at Rs 13,999. At this price point the Honor 9N is not a bad phone at all. It offers an excellent design, a powerful processor and a satisfactory camera experience. On the other hand, its rival Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro also offers somewhat same processing power but at a higher price tag of Rs 14,999. Moreover, the Honor 9N also comes in other variants starting at Rs 11,999 which definitely makes it worth the money. So, if you want to upgrade to a budget smartphone then you can definitely consider going for the Honor 9N.

Honor 9N – The stunning selfie camera with a full view notch display
Source: Gadget Diary English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
All in all, Honor 9N is a great package deal. It is a great performer that can handle your day to day routine normally while also being able to look good while doing all this. The Notch FullView display looks great and the design of the phone itself is also pretty great.

70% Honor 9N Review
Source: NDTV Gadgets English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
The Honor 9N is a compact smartphone that sports a vibrant display, a fresh and modern design, and Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. The colour options are also quite funky, especially Robin Egg Blue, which is set to go on sale soon. That said, battery life is mediocre, performance is below average, EMUI seems cluttered, and the cameras falter in low light.

Honor 9N Review : Excellence in Design

The Honor 9N in our opinion is one of the most beautiful and stylish phones in this range. The camera too delivers the goods. The Honor 9N ships in Lavender Purple, Robin Egg Blue, Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black colors, is priced at Rs. 11,999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version, Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB version and the 128GB version of it costs Rs. 17,999. 68% Huawei Honor 9N Review
Source: Think Digit English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
The Honor 9N is a well-built device for its price range and offers good colour options in the sub-15K price bracket. However, it uses a dated Kirin 659 chipset and does not offer fast charging. The camera can deliver nice photos in good lighting conditons, but falters badly in low light. Overall, the Honor 9N fails to stand out from the competition when it comes to overall performance. If good overall performance is what you are looking for, then you can't go wrong with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro in this price segment.

80% Honor 9i review: Stands out with camera performance for its price
Source: The Indian Express English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
Overall, Honor 9i is an excellent proposition for people looking for a decent mid-budget phone with a great camera. Of course, design is an added benefit. I wasn’t disappointed with its performance or battery either. Infact, I enjoyed using the Honor 9i, thanks to its four cameras and a FullView display. Given this price of Rs 17,999 this is an easy one to recommend.

Honor 9i Review – A Premium Selfie Phone Priced Right
Source: Gadget Diary English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
Huawei has pried the phone right. At 17,999 INR, there is a lot we can appreciate about the Honor 9i including its design, display, and overall performance. Inculcating the current trend gives it enough arsenal to compete with the fresh set of selfie phones like Vivo V7, Oppo F5 and Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro. If you are looking for an 18:9 display phone or a good selfie phone, Honor 9i is a good option for under 18K.

Honor 9i Review
Source: Fone Arena English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
Overall, the Honor 9i is quality outing from the company that will surely give other devices in this range, a run for its money. The Honor 9i has the blend of a great display, snappy processor, solid build quality and dual camera setup on both front and back that takes some good shots. If the company had priced around Rs. 15,000, this smartphone would’ve been a game changer. The Honor 9i comes in Graphite Black and Prestige Gold colors, is priced at Rs. 17,999 and is available exclusively on Flipkart.

The Mi Max 2 at Rs 16,999 offers a better camera, minus the portrait modes, but you have to deal with a massive device and the weight that comes along with it, and a not so great selfie camera. So if you are OK with the weight, the awesome battery life and the cameras, then the Mi Max 2 is a better buy.

Honor 9i Review – Great Display, Great Selfies, Great Price
Source: Mobygyaan English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
Honor 9i is just as snappy and compelling in the midrange segment, no wonder it takes photographs with bokeh effects on either side, take selfies or portraits, it has got everything backed up on both sides. Its wide 18:9 display can catch up with the content gaining a better viewing experience for multimedia fans. The overall package is magnificent, its minimalist bezel display, quad cameras, metallic design, decent hardware and featured EMUI software are the things that can’t be challenged when it comes to price. The Honor 9i is the deal breaker, it has all that it needs to be.

There is no denying that the Honor 9i is an extremely unique smartphone. After all, not many smartphones can boast of having four cameras as well as a bezel-less design, can they? However, a phone is a sum of its parts. And sadly, while the display and design of the Honor 9i are stellar - the rest of the smartphone is only average at best.

In the time we spent with the Honor 9i/Mate 10 Lite, we did come to appreciate many things about it. The design is really quite impressive and makes the device stand out in its segment. The so-called FullView display is also quite nice and apart from the novelty is actually useful since it shows a lot more content. The software experience and general performance was also quite good.

Honor 9i is none other than it’s primary competitor alongside the OPPO phones. By looking at the specifications and features and our past experiences with Honor devices, Honor 9i seems much more talented than its rivals, and it’s sure Honor 9i would take the trophy if this is the price.
