Display Response Times

Display response times show how fast the screen is able to change from one color to the next. Slow response times can lead to afterimages and can cause moving objects to appear blurry (ghosting). Gamers of fast-paced 3D titles should pay special attention to fast response times.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

The display backlight flickers at 1000 Hz (worst case, e.g., utilizing PWM) Flickering detected at a brightness setting of 90 % and below. There should be no flickering or PWM above this brightness setting.

The frequency of 1000 Hz is quite high, so most users sensitive to PWM should not notice any flickering.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 8774 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 343500) Hz was measured.

戴尔Latitude 12 E5270是一款搭配了完备安全功能的设备。最新的Skylake架构处理器相比前代产品提供了更好的性能表现。它的续航也由更大容量的电池带来了改善。我们这台测试机的1295欧元(约9451人民币)售价明显超过了1000欧元的坎。因此,它绝对不是一台便宜的12.5寸设备。不过,这台笔记本电脑提供了无暇的机身工艺和坚固性。除此之外,它的部件都十分耐用,对各种安全功能的支持也十分丰富。它的接口布局设计合理,用户还可以通过拓展坞增加接口数量。在投资选购之前,用户需要谨慎考虑这些细节。Latitude系列代表了高品质和优秀制造工艺。

略微遗憾的是,它给我们的非常优秀的第一印象受到了品质较差的屏幕的拖累。

我们也必须要提出对它的一些不满之处。它的屏幕明显落后于时代,不像是这个价位商务设备的水平,尽管生产商提供了可选的升级选项。屏幕的低亮度让在明亮环境下工作十分困难。我们希望一台商务设备可以搭配一块高速固态硬盘。最近固态硬盘的成本大幅降低,正在逐渐缩小和机械硬盘的差距。

我们也很喜欢它简洁、纤薄又不失坚固的机身。对于日常用途来说,英特尔酷睿 i5-6300U的性能不容置疑。它的输入设备如触控板和键盘也都十分优秀。后者还提供了两级亮度的背光。
