Reviews for the Lenovo ThinkBook 14s Yoga ITL 20WE0023GE
The ThinkBook 14s Yoga doesn't attract attention by setting performance records but rather with its good ergonomics. The Lenovo engineers have focused on low emissions, good stamina and a decent keyboard. The touchscreen display can be used both with your fingers and with the included Smart Pen.

Lisa Gade reviews the Lenovo ThinkBook 14s Yoga, their more affordable alternative to the ThinkPad X1 Yoga convertible Ultrabook. The 14” ThinkBook has an aluminum casing with a 14” display supporting pen and touch, and it has 360 degree hinges. Street pricing typically starts at $949, and the laptop runs Windows 10 Pro on Intel 11th gen Tiger Lake Core i5 and i7 processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics. It has expandable RAM and 2 M.2 SSD slots. The ThinkPad Pro pen is included and lives in a silo in the laptop.

The Lenovo ThinkBook 14s Yoga is a versatile and stylish 2-in-1 that delivers build quality and performance on a par with pricier 2-in-1 convertibles. As with any budget or midrange machine, sacrifices were made to hit a more approachable price. In the case of the ThinkBook 14s Yoga, you lose in two big areas: display and battery. We have no other complaints about its performance, and we like the look and feel of its compact, all-metal chassis. Given its shortcomings, however, we can recommend the ThinkBook 14s Yoga only to workers on a tight budget who spend the majority of the time inside, under artificial light, and near a power outlet.

The ThinkBook 14s Yoga is not as much a consumer play as it is a modernization of the company's workstation profile. As some people continue to or push for more work-from-home dynamics, the 14s satisfies an itch of basic convenience. It's light enough to port around in most circumstances and its 2-in-1 nature and included pen offer greater flexibility for document signing (for those of us who ran out of ink early in the pandemic) as well as note taking or finer tuned graphics editing.

The Lenovo ThinkBook 14s Yoga 2-in-1 is a solid and affordable convertible laptop with some great features and excellent performance, but its battery life holds it back from wiping the floor with the competition.

The Lenovo ThinkBook 14s Yoga offers a wide variety of ports, ease of use with the stylus pen, and little to no bloatware to hog up your screen. The fast SSD allows for a quicker load up times, and overall makes your programs a bit more speedy. You can’t forget about the vibrant display that allows for the best experience when enjoying your favorite shows on any streaming service. Even then, I do wish the performance and speakers were a bit better than it is, and it would’ve been nice if the battery life kept up to the competitors.

When it comes to paper goods, a "pad" usually costs less than a "book," but that's not true of Lenovo laptops. While ThinkPads are elite systems for enterprise execs, ThinkBooks are more affordable machines intended for small business. In other words, if you want a 14-inch convertible and can't swing a ThinkPad X1 Yoga, you'll find the ThinkBook 14s Yoga (starts at $968; $1,079.99 as tested) a fine alternative. It offers handsome design, perky performance, plenty of ports, and an onboard stylus, all in an excellent-value package. It's impressive enough to claim an Editors' Choice award as our new favorite midrange 2-in-1.

The ThinkBook 14s Yoga is a 2-in-1 that’s ideal for business users who hate scrambling for pens that never seem to be within reach. They can simply whip out the included Smart Pen and jot down notes without missing a beat.
