那么我们要怎么才能测试这款不愿意运行主流测试软件如CPU-Z的黑箱呢？我们认为这可能是华硕的一个软件缺陷，应该可以通过更新修复。不过，我们仍然需要对它进行测试，但是华硕对工程样机并没有发表任何评论。许多常见的应用都没有这个问题，因此我们只为它减去了5%的总分。我们依然联系了华硕以寻求对这个问题的说明，因为我们的两个测试机都存在同样的问题。
除此之外，它是一款非常方便的平板，它出色的性能和明亮IPS屏幕的宽广可视角度都为它提供了很好的表现。Asus MeMO Pad 7可以轻松地应付任何的应用甚至是在不远的未来发布的大型游戏。它的另外一个优势是坚固的机身，尽管设计有些奇怪。它还有不错的电池续航时间，可惜的是音响效果（耳机插口的设计有缺陷？）和GPS模组的表现较差，尽管后者在实际使用中应该足够了。另外一个遗憾是华硕为它预装了过多的应用。并非所有的预装应用都提供了特别的功能，而且它们无法卸载。
