Reviews for the Samsung Galaxy M31s
Bigger, more modern, more storage - this is how the update to the Galaxy M31 wants to present itself. But since the smartphone has the same components in the areas of the camera, battery, and performance, the differences should be small, right?

So even though the Galaxy M31s is not an expensive phone, it is still not great value when compared to everything else that is on the market. Even if this phone came with a more modern and competitive Snapdragon chipset, it would be worth recommending but the combination of the slow and aging Exynos 9611 chipset and an increasingly outdated 60Hz display means the M31s just feels like you're using a phone from a year ago. Which, if you think about it, it is.

To conclude, the Samsung Galaxy M31s is a refined smartphone and it comes with useful upgrades as compared to its predecessors. The addition of Infinity-O display, 6000mAh battery and more. The design is similar to the Galaxy M31, but it still looks premium when you hold it. The display is crisp and colourful, while the Exynos 9611 processor can get you through day-to-day activities. The cameras are decent for this price point. However, the long-lasting battery is the major selling point of this device. So, if you are a Samsung enthusiast and want to buy a smartphone under Rs 20,000, then Galaxy M31s is perfectly suited for you.

Overall, the Galaxy M31s, is a worth upgrade to M31 at a slightly higher price compared to the predecessor. It has upgraded cameras, better Infinity-O AMOLED display and 25W fast charging while retaining the huge 6000mAh battery. Glass back, lack of splash-resistant body, Samsung Pay are few things that needs to be compromised.

So summing up, how good is the Galaxy M31s in terms of the camera? The Galaxy M31s definitely has an improved camera compared to M31 with the new Sony sensor in place. It has good colors, good sharpness, and good selfies as well. The areas of improvement are low light and also video recording where the focus hunting issue has been there for quite some time.

The Samsung Galaxy M31s is certainly a new high for the series. The company has offered upgrades in the right categories such as improved ultra-wide angle camera and a faster charging support. At a starting price of Rs 19,499, the device covers all bases well enough and has its strengths in battery and display. Even with tough competition in the category, the Samsung Galaxy M31s has a lot going for it to stand out from the crowd.

The Galaxy M31s is not as powerful as the Redmi Note 9 Pro series, but once you look past its average performance, you will realize that it is a surprisingly good device. The Galaxy M31s is definitely not for power users or gamers but for average users for whom better battery life, a quality AMOLED panel, plenty of storage, and decent software experience are more valuable. The Galaxy M31s is the perfect example of a smartphone and the value that it delivers as an overall package and that it cannot be judged based on the chipset that it uses.

Priced Rs 19,499 onwards, the Samsung Galaxy M31s is a capable smartphone that would have been an all-round package if it had a better processor. It’s time Samsung retired the Exynos 9611 SoC and used a better processor, especially in its midrange smartphones. Except for performance, there is hardly anything that you would not like about this smartphone. Consider the Galaxy M31s for its vivid display, capable optics and stellar on-battery time. Look elsewhere if performance and gaming capabilities are your primary deciding factors.

Unless you’d prefer to avoid a Chinese product, you really cannot ignore the better build quality of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro Max (Rs 16,999) and the Poco X2 (Rs 17,499), both of which feel snappier in daily usage, offer better cameras with more detail and get you great gaming performance as well.

The Samsung Galaxy M31s has a lot going for it. The phone brings a big display, which both looks and performs quite well. There's also a big 6000mAh battery and 25W fast charging to complete the package. And if you were still left unsure, the phone also impresses with its 64-megapixel lens-based quad cameras that are equipped to get the job done under all scenarios.

Samsung's Galaxy M series is consistently popular, and the company has been launching new models into the market quite rapidly. The Galaxy M31s is the successor to the Galaxy M31 (Review) and gets a fresh look, the new Infinity-O AMOLED display, and faster charging with a higher capacity bundled charger. It retains the same 6,000mAh battery and aging processor though, which could stop buyers from putting their money down.

The Galaxy M31 was already a fantastic value-for-money proposition, and the M31s makes things even better by offering support for 25W super fast charging to go along with the big battery, a versatile camera setup with the neat Single Take mode, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Infinity-O Super AMOLED display is also excellent, and while the camera quality tends to be not-so-great at night, you can now get around that by using the full-fledged Pro mode.

The Samsung Galaxy M31s looks promising as it brings some much-needed upgrades to the Galaxy M-series. The phone looks much stylish as compared to the other smartphones in the Galaxy M-series and it sure give you a premium feel when you hold in your hand. The display looks crisp, though adding a better processor in this phone could have added more value to it. The cameras look promising and the Single Take feature is quite interesting to use. The battery backup has always been the strongest point of the Samsung Galaxy M-series and the Galaxy M31s takes this legacy further with a massive 6000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. As for the competition, it will be put against Poco X2, Realme X2 and more.

The Galaxy M31s has a nice and colourful 6.5-inch AMOLED screen, a great camera, excellent battery life, capable processor, a headphone jack and great build quality. Starting at Rs 19,499, the Galaxy M31s gives a premium impression, good enough to give tough competition to the OnePlus Nord, which starts at Rs 24,999. If you are planning to replace your old device and you are considering switching to the Galaxy M-series, I think the Galaxy M31s is worth checking out. I would happily recommend the Galaxy M31s over other expensive Android smartphones.
