In terms of endurance, the Galaxy M20 is a real trooper. Even at full tilt with heavy use catching up on movies, social media and heavy gaming in the form of PUBG and Clash Royale the phone managed to last easily north of a day and a half. The 5,000mAh battery supports 15W quick charging though we were unable to test this as we lacked a full retail set though a third party charger got it to full in about two and a half hours from dead zero. As it stands, the Galaxy M20 is a solidly made midrange phone that has it where it counts. For a price tag of RM799, you get a large and vibrant Full HD+ display, impressive battery life and decent overall performance though some quibbles remain like a middling mono speaker, and a plasticky albeit sturdy chassis. These are however minor quibbles at best. If you’re looking for an affordable midrange phone from the marque, the Galaxy M20 is a very sound choice indeed.

The Galaxy M20 addresses a lot of the complaints we had with the M10 - it adds a fingerprint reader, a USB-C port and fast charging capability, and vastly improved performance. It is then an easy recommendation over its lesser brother unless you absolutely cannot stretch your budget.

Let’s be brutally honest here: Samsung’s phones have never been the best choice once you went down a certain price range. Sammy’s phones are pricey, but they were pricey for a reason: Samsung’s top-tier manufacturing methods and R&D efforts meant that their phones were better made if not necessarily better specc’d than the competition.

You must be wondering how the Galaxy M20 is a masterstroke when almost every aspect of the phone has some terms and conditions that stop it from being truly great in any department. Well, it’s a masterstroke because Samsung has managed to price the phone unexpectedly well. I mean, the Galaxy J6 launched in May last year with a higher price tag for the base model despite having far lesser specs than the M20. I guess Samsung finally realized it has to forego all profits if it wants to stay competitive in the budget smartphone market.

With the price starting at Rs 10,990, the Galaxy M20 is a budget smartphone that has capabilities to make a dent in the armour of other smartphones in the same segment. From sleek performance to exceptional on-battery time and capable dual rear camera, the phone has everything to be touted as power-packed performer.

The Samsung Galaxy M20, in its bid to compete strongly against the Chinese incumbents, implements a lot of firsts for a Samsung device — A new design, wide-angle cameras and a massive battery. But all that doesn't discount the fact that the Galaxy M20 is not for everyone. It's the right choice if you absolutely demand a wide-angle camera to play around with, but for everything else, be it performance or gaming, there are better devices available in the market. With the Galaxy M20, Samsung has finally offered an interesting proposition for its loyal fanbase. The phone is loaded with a standard design, though the display is quite interesting. The performance as a daily driver is good, though it is not meant for some serious gaming. The phone offers smooth and highly-customisable user interface, though it is still loaded with bloatware. Camera performance is a mixed bag and hopefully, a software update can improve it. The battery life is really impressive, in our testing. Overall, if you are Samsung fanboy, who was earlier disappointed with the company’s product lineup, the Galaxy M20 might excite you.

Samsung Galaxy M20 offers good performance, big battery for its price, which is what you want on a device priced under Rs 13,000. The camera and display could have been better. Samsung’s Galaxy M20 will compete with devices like Redmi 6 Pro, Realme 2, Nokia 5.1 Plus, Honor 8C, which are in the same price bracket.

Overall, the Galaxy M20 is a clear winner for Samsung at competitive starting price of Rs. 10,999. It has a good display with minimal bezels, huge battery, USB Type-C with fast charging, ultra-wide angle lens that you don’t find on any other phones in the range, and decent performance for the price. Average low-light camera performance and the plastic body are the things you have to compromise. As I had mentioned earlier, it is recommended to get a case. Samsung doesn’t promise when the phone will get Android Pie update since its flagships have started getting the update recently.

Unlike some of its current competitors, Samsung has immense brand power. A lot of people might have chosen other options recently based on specifications and features, so having closed that gap, Samsung stands to regain a lot of the customers it has lost. Buying a Samsung phone doesn't feel like a gamble in the way that it might with less established brands. The Korean giant is capitalising on this in its Galaxy M-series marketing by underscoring its huge service network, spanning 1,650 service centres across over 6,000 talukas all over India.

The most obvious competition for the Galaxy M20 is, of course, the Redmi Note 6 Pro. While Xiaomi’s phone packs a bit more power under the hood, the M20’s larger display and bigger battery should make it a winner for most. Similarly, the phone is an obvious choice over the Honor 10 Lite, which we found to have rather middling performance.

That said, we have to concede that while the M20 definitely emerges as an alternative to the likes of the Redmi Note 6 Pro, the RealMe 2 Pro, and the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2, it does not really do enough to overwhelm them. We can see many people who prefer a “traditional” (and in some cases, non-Chinese) brand being attracted to the M20. But only time will tell whether it will win over those who have been charmed by the likes of Xiaomi. There is a new phone series in town and it certainly does more than enough to make both the competition and the consumer sit up and take notice. That’s always a good thing in our book.

The Galaxy M series is Samsung's bid to start something fresh, something different from what the Galaxy On and Galaxy J series offered in the past. And the Galaxy M20 looks like a step in the right direction. The phone offers a terrific Infinity-V waterdrop display and a long battery life, two features that are pretty important in this segment. The ultra wide-angle camera also offers something unique in this segment, and it is worth considering the M20 if these are the features you're looking for.

Overall, the Galaxy M20 is Samsung’s best attempt yet at making a budget phone that isn’t dwarfed by the Chinese competition in terms of the specs and features on offer. The problem arises when you consider the fact that the M20 will only be sold online. Online buyers tend to be more knowledgeable, so despite the compelling price tag, the M20 may not sell as much as it would have if it were sold offline. Well, unless it manages to impress us and other reviewers, and you will need to wait a few days before you can find out if that’s the case.

So summing up our review findings - the Galaxy M10's battery life is okay, the ultra wide-angle lens is usable, the whole camera experience is comparable to the rest of the phones in its class, and video recording is even pretty good as far as Full HD videos go. And although not very bright, the screen is okay too. And that's all there is to say about the Galaxy M10.

With a starting price of Rs 7990, the Samsung Galaxy M10 is a good option in the budget segment. While it ticks most of the boxes right, the lack of basic utility tools like a fingerprint sensor makes it lose out to competitors like the Realme C1, Xiaomi Y1, etc. However, even with its limitations, the Galaxy M10 delivers great value for money and good performance.

Samsung is off to a good start with Galaxy M series and without a doubt, the Galaxy M10 is huge leap for Samsung under mid-range segment compared to its predecessors. This budget device is simple, straight forward and on to the point. Barring few things like mediocre camera, slow charging and not-so-good speaker setup, this device is worth a try, provided if you are a casual user. For intense gamers, it’s better to skip this . Samsung Galaxy M10 comes with an impressive compact form factor, good display, average camera, Android 8.1 Oreo and decent battery life. It is a solid option for those who are looking for a well-built, modern-looking phone that does the basics, though it is not meant for serious gaming. At this price point, the phone goes right up against the RealMe C1, and Xiaomi Redmi 6 both of which are its strong competitors. If you do go for the Samsung Galaxy M10, we recommend you buy the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant.

Samsung Galaxy M10 is a good option considering the overall performance, display and a reliable battery. The camera are decent as well. The budget smartphone segment is the most crowded and the Galaxy M10 will face tough competition from Realme C1 that comes with similar specifications, and Xiaomi Redmi 6 series. Still, Galaxy M10 doesn’t disappoint on performance, display, and battery, which is crucial in the under Rs 9000 segment.

The M10 starts at Rs 7,990 for the 2 GB/ 16 GB edition and Rs 8,990 for the 3GB/32GB edition, and well, at that price, it goes right up against the RealMe C1, and most notably, the Redmi 6. And thanks to that camera and a very decent display, is more than capable of holding its own against them, although some will point out that the Redmi 6 has better memory/storage configurations, that its Helio P22 processor works better, and well, it has a fingerprint scanner. In fact, while the M20 might get more attention, we suspect it is the M10 that might end up with the higher sales figures. It just seems to give more at a lower price, and well, Samsung’s brand equity is likely to carry much more weight at a lower price point, especially for those who are looking to invest in a good smartphone at a relatively tight budget. It might seem like a Jack in the Galaxy M series deck, but it could well be an ace in disguise.

The Galaxy M series of phones represent Samsung’s renewed focus on a younger audience. Unfortunately for Samsung, that same audience cares just as much about features and specifications as much as a great experience. The lackadaisical performance, missing fingerprint reader, and average camera performance certainly aren’t doing the Galaxy M10 any favors.

All things considered, the Galaxy M30 is great all-rounder and makes a very compelling case for someone who doesn't find 3D gaming or camera performance particularly important. You still get to enjoy a very nice display and the outstanding battery life. There are also no deal-breakers in any other important aspect of the device and it has a reasonable price tag.

With the Galaxy M30 the company wants to tap in the young smartphone users. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 17,990 and will compete against the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro. The smartphone offers a full HD and bright display which is not common in the other budget smartphones. Along with this, the massive 5000 mAh battery with fast charging can be a deal breaker for many. The triple rear camera is also a good proposition but is not the high point of the smartphone. Customers who were looking for a Samsung smartphone in this price segment can definitely consider buying the Galaxy M30.

The Samsung Galaxy M30 is similar to its cousin, the Galaxy A30, in a lot of ways, including performance and camera quality. Where it feels like a step up is exterior design and battery life. Where it feels like a step down is software. It’s still a pretty good buy for Rs 14,990.

Priced at Rs. 14,990 for the 4 GB/ 64 GB variant and Rs. 17,990 for the 6 GB/ 128 GB variant, the Samsung Galaxy M30 packs quite a bit of punch of spec sheet numbers and features for the price. Yes, it faces a lot of heat from the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro, which is the M30’s biggest competitors in the market right now, but the Galaxy M30 itself has got a few very neat tricks in the bag to give Xiaomi a headache to deal with. The device comes with a great display, good cameras and decent UI and battery, all of which make the Samsung Galaxy M30 a very worthy contender in its segment. It may not be right on top of the sub Rs. 15,000, but is definitely one of the best in the price range.

With a great display and good battery life, the Samsung Galaxy M30 is a good choice if you watch a lot of videos on your phone. Plus, it also has Widevine L1 support for HD streaming, which is not a common thing in a budget smartphone. It also offers decent camera performance with triple-rear camera setup and is not a bad choice for a price of Rs. 14,999.

Galaxy M30 packs an attractive build and design with a brilliant display and long battery life. The camera performance and general performance of the device are okay, but then in the under Rs 15,000 price range, users have now started expecting more given the kind of choices available in the market. The competition is really intense in this space.

The way we see it, the Galaxy M30 feels like a Plus variant of the Galaxy M20 similar to how you have Plus and standard variants of Samsung’s flagships. It’s not just the RAM and storage that change. You also get a Super AMOLED display, an extra camera and higher-resolution selfies, and some design changes on the M30. On the top M30 model, you get more RAM (6GB) and internal storage (128GB), but that version is priced a bit too high for us to even consider in this review.

Samsung Galaxy M30 is probably one of the best-designed smartphones in this price band. The display certainly looks interesting and the camera performance in broad daylight is quite decent in our opinion. The battery is a strong talking point of this device, though it is not able to handle most of the high-end games effectively. The user interface seems to be dated now and the amount of bloatware and spammy notifications spoils the whole experience. That said, the phone looks like a good option for Samsung loyalists, but still faces stiff competition from the likes of XiaomI Redmi Note 7 Pro, Realme 3, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Nokia 6.1 Plus.

The Samsung Galaxy M30 marks the top end of the millennial-focused Galaxy M series and takes the Redmi Note 7 Pro head on as far as price is concerned. Between the better performance and camera capabilities, Xiaomi’s mid-range champion does look like the better device on paper.

The Galaxy M-series seems to be getting better and better with each successive phone. With the Galaxy M30, Samsung nails almost every aspect that consumers are looking for in an affordable mid-range smartphone. It gets a stunning AMOLED display, which will be hard to beat by any other brand in this segment, a good-looking gradient design and a battery that doesn't quit. The performance and cameras are decent, but not the Galaxy M30's strongest suit. I feel the M30 misses out on a dedicated night mode that can help it truly take on the likes of the Redmi Note 7 Pro.

The Samsung Galaxy M30 is the third smartphone from Samsung in the M series, and is priced well at Rs. 14,990 for the 4GB RAM variant and 17,990 for the higher 6GB RAM variant. It is one of a few smartphones at this price to sport a vivid Super AMOLED panel, which we liked. We also found the big battery very helpful as we could stay away from the charger a lot longer than usual. The cameras are good in daylight but could do with a few tweaks for better low-light photography.

As you've probably gathered by now, we find it hard to recommend the Galaxy A60 in the presence of phones such as the Realme X, the Mi A3, and the Redmi K20/Mi 9T in the same price range. While the Samsung Galaxy M40 is the top-end model in the lineup, there’s no denying the fact that Samsung has cut a few corners with this smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy M40 crams in a tonne of features, which instantly makes it a very attractive option even amongst Samsung's other A-series and M-series offerings. Some of its highlight features are segment firsts, such as the Screen Sound tech for voice calls and a hole-punch display. Add to that the ample RAM and storage and the powerful SoC — all of it sounds too good to be true. However, Samsung has had to cut a few corners to sell the Galaxy M40 at this price.

Samsung Galaxy M40 is the company’s best attempt to give a stiff competition to its rivals in this price band. The company has introduced some new features like the punch-hole design. The performance is slightly better as compared to the other Samsung smartphones at this price range. The display looks good, though it is not as punchy as OLED screens present in other Samsung smartphones. Furthermore, the absence of the 3.5mm audio jack and inclusion of Type-C headsets might turn against it. That said, it is still a better device from Samsung in this price band.

The Galaxy M40 is a sweet addition to the Galaxy M lineup, but one cannot deny that Samsung has cut quite a few corners with this one. The reason Galaxy M30 and Galaxy M20 worked is because they offered a robust set of features at aggressive prices. The Galaxy M40, on the other hand, misses an AMOLED display, drops the headphone jack and chops down the battery, which are some serious downgrades for its price of Rs 19,990.

Samsung Galaxy M40 appears to be a decent phone for the price. Yes, there are multiple options in the market like the Redmi Note 7 Pro and Moto G7, but still I genuinely liked the Galaxy M40. So, yeah, the verdict is that you should get the Galaxy A50 and simply ignore the Galaxy M40. If the Galaxy M40 drops in price below the Galaxy A50, it might become easier to recommend, although the price will have to drop considerably for that to happen. Even if we don't compare the Galaxy M30s to the Galaxy M30, it's a good phone, but with a few less-than-obvious flaws. For one, the chipset still isn't equipped to take on heavy multitasking. The frequent stutters in the default camera app are a constant reminder of this. What's more, the glossy plastic finish on the phone's back panel make it look less classy than it is. Even if it is a bit overpriced at Rs 16,999, the Samsung Galaxy M30s is a phone you can't go wrong with.

The Samsung Galaxy A70s looks beautiful but the device disappoints when it comes to performance. At this price, you can get the Redmi K20 Pro, Asus Zenfone 6z or the OnePlus 7 which offer you flagship-grade performance. The A70s handle the day to day tasks with ease but when you pay 30K for a smartphone you can’t settle with less. At this price range mostly every smartphone offers the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset but the Galaxy A70 uses Snapdragon 675 which is the same chipset that we’ve seen in mid-range devices like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro. Hence, if you aren’t a heavy user or you are specifically looking to buy a Samsung smartphone then, yes, the Samsung Galaxy A70s is the ideal choice for you.

After a series of hits, Samsung’s Galaxy M30s appears to be just coasting along. It just doesn’t do enough to be a stand-out recommendation. In a market segment that is drowning in fantastic options, incremental updates just don’t cut it anymore. It’s not a bad phone, but unless you are fixated on buying a Samsung phone, and to be sure there are reasons for it, it just isn’t a very exciting piece of kit. Galaxy M30s is a refined offering from Samsung when you compare it with its predecessor. The smartphone offers a good display and the performance is satisfactory. To conclude, the Samsung Galaxy M30s camera performance has improved as compared to its predecessor. The smartphone offers some good performance in the daylight conditions and it is fast to lock focus on the subject when you click macro subjects. The wide-angle mode also offers some good results, though the issue of barrel distortion was quite visible. The low light performance still needs improvements as the colours were slightly washed out and the wide-angle lens was average. However, the Night mode sometimes improves the image in low light conditions. The selfie performance is also decent in daylight, though edge detection in portrait mode could have been. Overall, it offers good results in daylight and low light needs improvements. However, the company has promised that it will soon roll out an update that will improve the low light performance of the device.

The Galaxy M10s was launched at Rs. 8,999 in India and it is among the few smartphones that offer an AMOLED display at this price point. We like that it has a crisp display and is relatively light while still delivering good battery life. The bundled fast charger also lets youtop the smartphone up quickly. These are things that will impress buyers who want a simple, modern, affordable smartphone.

While the Samsung Galaxy M31 is not available everywhere, it is an interesting mid-range alternative with its huge battery and four-camera system. However, since you have to live with a small amount of storage, is the smartphone still worth it?

There are cheaper, faster phones – such as the Nokia 5.3, for example. However, for £245, you’re buying a smartphone that’s fast enough for most people, with a great screen and an excellent suite of cameras. Couple that with staggering battery life, and the Samsung Galaxy M31 stands alone. It’s only a shame that it’s exclusive to Amazon in the UK.

During the review, we were fairly impressed with Galaxy M31 for the most part though we had some nitpicks that include not so good low-light photography and lack of an in-display fingerprint sensor. Nevertheless, packed with a crisp and vibrant AMOLED display, a highly durable 6,000mAh battery, impressive 64MP quad camera, and a dependable chipset coupled with an adequate amount of RAM the Galaxy M31 makes a strong case for it. If you are in need of buying an affordable but a well-rounded phone without sacrificing the brand cachet, the Galaxy M31 is certainly a good option for you at present. Go for it.

The Samsung Galaxy M31 is a good option if you are looking for a device under Rs 20,000. It offers some really good specifications such as a quad-camera setup and a 6000mAh battery and that too with fast charging support. In terms of performance also the smartphone will not disappoint you. The smartphone comes under the budget segment but it doesn’t look like one.

Samsung Galaxy M31 is a refined product as compared to its predecessors. Whether be it watching content on AMOLED screen or taking photos from the four cameras, the Galaxy M31 sure looks like a rightful heir of the Galaxy M30s. The battery life is the major highlight of the smartphone, which no other competitor is offering right now at this price point. That said, we felt that the company could have bumped up the processor in order to give a stiff competition to its rivals. The Poco X2 and Realme 6 offers you better chipset along with higher refresh rate and more. That said, if you are looking for a smartphone that gives you long-lasting battery life, then Galaxy M31 is meant for you.

Overall, the Galaxy M31, is a good upgrade to last year’s M30s at competitive starting price of Rs. 14,999. It has upgraded cameras, while retaining the same AMOLED display and the huge 6000mAh battery, and most importantly comes with an ambient light snesor for brightness adjustment. Average low-light camera performance, plastic body and lack of Samsung Pay, Secure Folder, Samsung Knox are few things that needs to be compromised.

The Galaxy M31 is more or less a Galaxy M30s with a macro camera, a higher-resolution main camera, more RAM on the base variant, and newer software out of the box. And the Galaxy M30s’ base variant, priced at Rs 12,999, is the better pick if you’re on an extremely tight budget. If you have Rs 14,999 lying around, then the Galaxy M31 offers excellent value for money. It would have been nice to see more feature-packed software, better quality from the 64MP rear camera in low light, and perhaps an Infinity-O display with smaller bezels, but for the asking price, these are all nitpicks that shouldn’t affect your decision to get the phone.

You know the good thing about the Galaxy M31 is that there are very few negatives. I have tested a lot of mid-range smartphones, but there’s hardly any of them that stood out on all parameters. The combination of simple looks, lightweight design, capable quad cameras – and perhaps above all the insanely long battery life makes the Galaxy 31 worth the money. At Rs 14,999, I am not missing out on a flagship smartphone and that really is something Samsung’s strategy to sell the Galaxy M30s. I have a sneaky feeling that the Galaxy M31 is Samsung’s “iPhone XR” in the mid-range segment.

Samsung has seen success with the Galaxy M30s, so it didn't want to fix what isn't broken. What the company has done is upgraded the RAM, put in a fourth rear camera, and preloaded Android 10. The Galaxy M31 does not feel like a completely new device, but more like an update to the Galaxy M30s.

Bigger, more modern, more storage - this is how the update to the Galaxy M31 wants to present itself. But since the smartphone has the same components in the areas of the camera, battery, and performance, the differences should be small, right?

So even though the Galaxy M31s is not an expensive phone, it is still not great value when compared to everything else that is on the market. Even if this phone came with a more modern and competitive Snapdragon chipset, it would be worth recommending but the combination of the slow and aging Exynos 9611 chipset and an increasingly outdated 60Hz display means the M31s just feels like you're using a phone from a year ago. Which, if you think about it, it is.

To conclude, the Samsung Galaxy M31s is a refined smartphone and it comes with useful upgrades as compared to its predecessors. The addition of Infinity-O display, 6000mAh battery and more. The design is similar to the Galaxy M31, but it still looks premium when you hold it. The display is crisp and colourful, while the Exynos 9611 processor can get you through day-to-day activities. The cameras are decent for this price point. However, the long-lasting battery is the major selling point of this device. So, if you are a Samsung enthusiast and want to buy a smartphone under Rs 20,000, then Galaxy M31s is perfectly suited for you.

Priced Rs 19,499 onwards, the Samsung Galaxy M31s is a capable smartphone that would have been an all-round package if it had a better processor. It’s time Samsung retired the Exynos 9611 SoC and used a better processor, especially in its midrange smartphones. The battery backup has always been the strongest point of the Samsung Galaxy M-series and the Galaxy M31s takes this legacy further with a massive 6000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. The Samsung Galaxy M51 comes with a “monster” 7000 mAh battery that outperforms the competition for both autonomy and efficiency. Where it falls down a little is in charging, where it takes nearly 2.5 hours to go from empty to a full charge — almost an hour longer than the Huawei P40 Lite (with its faster charger). Still, its overall performance is currently the best in our Battery database, promising and delivering excellent battery life whether lightly or intensively used.

Overall, the Galaxy M51, is good mid-range smartphone from Samsung in the M series. It has good cameras, brilliant Infinity-O AMOLED display and whopping 7000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. No Glass back, lack of splash-resistant body and some software features like Samsung Pay and Knox security are few things that needs to be compromised.

For PHP 19,990, the Samsung Galaxy M51 is not the flashiest smartphone in the market today. However, it still offers a lot that you might really consider, especially if you’re focused on buying a Samsung smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy M51 is a bang for a buck. This is everything you need from a mid-range device that costs Rs.25,000. It has a stunning Super AMOLED Plus display and a massive 7000 mAh battery which none of the rivals are offering right now. In addition to this, Samsung has gone for Snapdragon 730G this time and thanks to that you get a major performance boost when compared to other mid-range devices by Samsung that comes with the Exynos chip.

Samsung Galaxy M 51 at starting price of Rs 24,999 is a smartphone worth buying if you want a great display, amazing camera, humongous battery and smooth performance. The only thing which I feel could have been better is the speaker output.

While you’ll undoubtedly be looking at the Samsung Galaxy M51 because of its massive 7000mAh battery, the phone has a lot of other things to offer. The phone has enough performance, and battery, under the hood to sustain extended gaming sessions, and has the camera pedigree to satisfy camera nerds as well. if everything goes well in our full review, it looks like Samsung has a solid mid-range contender with their new phone.

Priced at Rs 24,999 for the base 6GB RAM variant, the Galaxy M51 is an all-rounder that the Samsung M series needed in 2020. It might not have the best design but it is a solid smartphone with a compact form factor, which is a big deal, considering that it has a mammoth 7,000 mAh battery and a 6.7-inch display. The Samsung Galaxy M51 is an obvious choice if you are in the market for a midrange smartphone from a reputable brand. However, if you are not averse to Chinese brands like Realme, OPPO and OnePlus, there are smartphones like the Realme 7 Pro (review), OPPO F17 Pro (review) and OnePlus Nord (review) which you might like to check before finalising your pick.

It might look relatively plain but get beyond those looks. It has the display. The cameras. And a massive battery. All of which makes the Samsung Galaxy M51 a terrific option for anyone looking for a phone "that just works and works a lot" in the range of Rs 25,000!

With a 6.7-inch sAMOLED screen, Snapdragon 730G processor, 7000mAh battery, and capable quad cameras for Rs 24,999, the Samsung Galaxy M51 is definitely the most complete Android smartphone you can find in the mid-range segment. It’s exciting to see that Samsung is focusing on features that really matter to consumers at the end of the day like a bigger battery and display. I think the Galaxy M51 will appeal to everyone.

On the hardware front, the Galaxy M51 is splendid and easily replaces the Galaxy A71, which was already an excellent phone, as the best upper mid-range device available from Samsung. The monstrous battery life makes it even better than the A71, in fact, and if the spec sheet is all that matters to you and the Galaxy M51 fits your budget, you can buy it with your eyes closed. You won’t regret it.

即使三星Galaxy M32比它的前辈更贵,但它只提供一个较小的电池,而且不支持5G。这款三星智能手机的设备和近300欧元(约345元)的价格还能跟得上时代吗?

Samsung delivers on their highlights for this device that you can see on their website. The Samsung Galaxy M32 does have a fantastic display, a capable set of shooters, and great battery life. If those three features are on your non-negotiables list for your next buy then, yes, this should definitely be on your radar. But, as our benchmarks scores reveal, if you want to get more muscle per peso spent in your smartphone — may it be for your gaming sessions or if you have extremely punishing work loads for your devices — then this is where the Galaxy M32 gets edged out. It’s a great phone and one of the more affordable offerings from the Korean brand but tough competition and pricing may leave this Galaxy lost in space.

You may already know by this point that the Samsung Galaxy M32 5G is not a phone that you should consider buying; it also doesn't justify the Rs. 21,000 price tag it comes with. It doesn't have a good display, not so great performance and the average cameras are not something you should be looking for in a phone. In terms of 5G connectivity and design, the phone certainly has some quality built-in. Samsung has made a phone that is certainly durable even though it is made from plastic. But due to lack of productive features and dull display, this phone is not something you should consider buying for the given price tag.

Samsung is focusing on the budget smartphone market, which is a great thing. However, it needs to up its game to catch up with the likes of Xiaomi and Realme. The Galaxy M32 has some high points such as an excellent AMOLED screen and a long-lasting battery. Unfortunately, it is let down by its feeble processor and disappointing low-light camera performance. Its design is nothing to write home about, either. If you are looking for a sub-Rs 15,000 smartphone, the Realme 8 is a way better option. It offers a sleek design, snappy UI, better cameras and faster charging.

To wrap up this review, if not for the performance, the Samsung Galaxy M32 would have almost been the perfect midrange phone of 2021. I don’t mind its plastic body or the fact that it doesn’t have a stereo speaker. But, reliable performance is something of an absolute necessity for heavy users like me. Also, if you are a demanding user and play a lot of games, you should stray far from this phone. That being said, if you are a moderate user like my sister, who only plays lightweight games like Ludo and Candy Crush, but wants an excellent battery life, great display, and reliable cameras that can take good photos from both front and the back, the Galaxy M32 is indeed an ideal phone for you. Likewise, if you don’t have enough budget for the M32, you can consider getting the cheaper F22 which I am currently testing out. And from my early impressions, I can tell you that you won’t be missing out on too much with the F22.

Priced just under Rs 15,000, Samsung Galaxy M32 is another entry from the company in the budget segment. The category is one of the most crowded and competitive with range of options across brands for buyers. With a Super AMOLED display, an elegant design and a long battery life, Galaxy M32 does manage to stand out. The 20MP front camera is another feature that works in its favour. However, the average processor may negate these pluses for some buyers. The phone competes with Poco X3, Moto G40 and Redmi Note 10 which are powered by more powerful processors.

For, the Galaxy M32 is really all about ticking the basic boxes. The phone is designed on very solid rather than spectacular lines. The front is all about a tall display, albeit with a drop hole notch, rather than a more modern punch hole notch. The back is glossy carbonate but comes with subtle stripes that change color when light falls on them. It does stand out but also tends to get smudged very easily. Samsung has also gone with a square camera unit, which is more functional than funky, and frankly looks a little out of place on that jazzy back. With a height of 160 mm, the M32 is not exceptionally tall, but at 9 mm, it is definitely on the thicker side, and at 196 grams, it is not feather-light either.

Samsung claims that the Galaxy M32 is for binge watchers, and its crisp AMOLED display and the big 6,000mAh battery do make this possible to quite an extent. You can watch content on it for long durations without needing to recharge it. If you aren't a heavy user, the Galaxy M32 might not give you any reason to complain other than its disappointing low-light camera performance. However, if you are a heavy user, you'll find that the Galaxy M32 doesn't deliver the same level of performance as the competition. It isn't the most powerful device under Rs 15,000, and the relatively slow charging speed for its huge battery might be a concern. A lot of people would be better off with the Redmi Note 10S (Review) or the Realme 7 (Review) instead. Many manufacturers are also now pushing 5G as a feature at this price level, so if you want a future-ready phone, this one won't fit the bill.

The Galaxy M32 is a value-for-money proposition in Samsung’s budget smartphone line-up. It boasts a good sAMOLED display of a 90Hz refresh rate, 3.5mm audio out port for wired earphones, a decent camera system, and modest performance. The smartphone might not be the best one in the budget segment but it is in the Samsung portfolio. That said, consider the Galaxy M32 if you are averse to Chinese brands. If not, there are options like the Realme 8 5G and Poco M3 Pro 5G which exceed the Galaxy M32 on almost all parameters.

Budget phones are all about cutting the right corners and making compromises where they don’t count. The processor is definitely not one of those aspects. The slower Galaxy M32 isn’t a bad-performing phone, but it lags behind the competition at this price. While the phone has a promising combination of a good screen, battery and build, it falls behind on aspects like an outdated processor and slower storage and charger. The phone offers a 4GB/64GB variant for a starting price of Rs 14,999. Meanwhile, the higher variant at Rs 16,999 is closer to a phone like the Poco X3 Pro, which offers a much faster flagship chip than the Helio G80. The phone may still be an option for those who may not need the extra power on the performance but will appreciate the great screen and battery life, but we can’t really recommend this phone to power users or multitaskers at this price.

Charging with the included 15W charger is slow: almost 2.5 hours to go from 0 to 100. But if you spend a little extra and grab Samsung’s 25W super fast charger, the charging time is cut down to an hour and 40 minutes. That’s very quick for a 6,000 mAh battery, and the fact that you’re even getting 25W charging at the Galaxy M32’s price point is impressive, at least as far as Samsung phones are concerned. All in all, the Galaxy M32’s price tag helps it stand out from everything else that Samsung is offering right now in the sub-$250 segment. I only wish Samsung had used a better processor so the performance wasn’t so bad. Still, for what the M32 costs you, you’re getting plenty of good stuff, and you could do a lot worse. You know, like getting the horribly priced Galaxy A32 instead.

Samsung has picked the MediaTek Helio G80 processor to power the Galaxy M32. I have the base variant with 4GB of RAM, and it has felt at ease handling regular day-to-day tasks in the short time I've been using it for so far. I will be running our full suite of benchmark tests on the Galaxy M32 to see how it fares, and will report on that in the full review. The software experience felt very familiar, as Samsung uses One UI 3.1 on the Galaxy M32 running on top of Android 11. The phone did have a number of preinstalled apps, which was a little disappointing. During the setup process, it also suggested more apps for installation, and skipping that wasn't easy. With the Galaxy M32, Samsung is offering a big battery and an AMOLED display with a high refresh rate at a tempting price. Is this now the best set of features you can get for the price? I will be putting the Galaxy M32 through its paces in the full review, so stay tuned to Gadgets 360.

The Samsung Galaxy M32 starts at Rs 14,999 for the 4GB RAM variant, with the 6GB model retailing for Rs 15,999 in India. Going by its spec sheet, the base variant of the smartphone comes across as a compelling buy, though the phone isn’t perfect. For one, the M32 isn’t the speediest device in its price segment, so if the occasional lag or stutter bothers you, you should look elsewhere. Moreover, while the phone offers a fantastic display and a beefy battery, the handset’s 15W adapter might leave buyers wanting more.

The Galaxy M52 5G is a great choice if you’re looking for a phone with top-notch performance, a beautiful high refresh rate display, 5G support, and great battery life (with super fast charging once you buy a super fast charger) without digging too deep of a hole in your pocket. On top of all that, the M52 5G also gives you a mostly complete One UI software experience, which is pretty much the best in the business. However, if you’re looking for a more well-rounded mid-range phone and can do without 5G connectivity, the Galaxy A52 is a better choice – if you can find it in stock. Its performance is more than enough for most tasks (including most games), it’s got a great display even though it works at 90Hz instead of 120Hz, you get stereo speakers, its design is water and dust resistant to give you extra peace of mind, and you get the guarantee of three major OS upgrades.

While the Galaxy M51 was a clearly positioned marathon runner, the M52 5G takes a more balanced approach. Replacing the 7,000mAh battery with a 5,000mAh one may have robbed the new model of record-breaking endurance numbers, but it's still one of the longest-lasting phones in its class, especially for this performance level. It's all the more impressive an achievement when you consider how light and thin the handset is, something you couldn't call its predecessor. All in all, however, we'd say that the Galaxy M52 is a well-rounded and competent handset with essentially no deal-breaking faults at a reasonable price. Regional differences in the numbers may make it a better deal in one place than another, so it wouldn't hurt if you make some price comparisons in your local market context. Either way, the Galaxy M52 is a solid device.

Samsung Galaxy M52 5G is a worthy upgrade to the last year launched Samsung Galaxy M51. The smartphone comes with a better design, display, processor and camera. Along with this, it also offers 5G connectivity making it a good deal. If you are looking for a smartphone under Rs 30,000, then this can be your pick.

The Samsung Galaxy M52 isn’t the most exciting release from the South Korean giant, but the phone includes all the essentials you’d expect. In particular, the large and vibrant display sets the phone apart. Additionally, the Snapdragon 778G chipset is a solid performer, though Samsung’s battery optimizations seem to throttle performance in a few games. One of the Samsung Galaxy M52’s sore spots comes with the poorly optimized cameras which fall behind those found on the best budget shooters, but my principal gripe with the phone is the build quality. Simply put, you expect better at this price. The cheap-feeling plastics just don’t live up to market expectations. However, that’s easily overcome with a case. What can’t be overcome is the bloatware situation, as well as missing features like an IP rating or stereo speakers. That’s a long string of misses in a category that’s already full of hits.

Samsung’s M Series smartphones have successfully established a strong link with a Monster battery. That’s one of the reasons to buy the M52 5G. It features a large battery, yet it is not a heavy block. Samsung Galaxy M52 5G is going to offer you some of the best features of the A52s at a lesser price. The Galaxy M52 5G is the first M-series phone to feature a 120Hz refresh rate screen, and the Snapdragon 778G processor is currently one of the most performing mid-range processors available. Samsung Galaxy M52 5G is the thinnest and meanest monster so far, with a sleek and narrow design that is just 7.4 mm in thickness, making it lightweight and easy to carry. The Samsung Galaxy M52 5G is the latest addition to Samsung’s M-series of phones, which aims to provide both value and performance. There are a lot of changes inside compared to the previous edition, but are they all enough to make the M52 the smartphone to grab at this price point? Let us jump into the review without wasting any more time.

The Galaxy M52 5G gives you everything you need from a Samsung phone under Rs 30,000. The company has not made a lot of compromises, which it tends to do on some of the cheaper Galaxy phones. It ticks all the right boxes in the display, camera, and design departments. It’s a sleek and lightweight device that delivers a stunning display and enough power to handle day-to-day tasks. But there are some compromises to be found, such as the lack of a headphone jack and a smaller battery compared to its predecessor. Oh, and you also have to purchase a 25W fast charger separately. These compromises may not be deal-breakers, but it’s still disappointing to see in this segment considering rivals don’t skimp on such features as much. The Galaxy M52 5G goes up against the OnePlus Nord 2 and Mi 11X 5G that offer better performance and faster charging speeds, among other things. That said, the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G is perhaps the most dependable and well-built Samsung phone in this segment right now.

The Samsung Galaxy M52 5G takes on the midrange competition, it offers an impressive 7.4 mm design, 120 Hz Super AMOLED Plus display, has deserving cameras, we got some great shots from its 64 MP camera, the macro camera offers excellent performance, and a faster Snapdragon 778G that performs well. The Samsung Galaxy M52 5G comes with support for 11 global 5G bands, Knox Security, and decent battery life. That brings me to the end of this review of the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G. As I discussed earlier, it is the closest thing to a value-for-money Samsung phone. Moreover, it’s a pretty big step-up from the Galaxy M51—especially in terms of performance. And for a cheaper price, the phone delivers practically the same smartphone experience as the A52s. From their display, performance, to the battery, these two phones deliver comparable results. Admittedly, it is a tad bit overpriced here in Nepal compared to markets like India. But if you don’t want to pay a premium price for the A52s and are set on getting a Samsung-made mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy M52 is totally worth it.

Where the back can be a little opaque with horizontal lines. The Samsung Galaxy M52 meets all your demands including 5g support. It is all about super performance, although the layout is also unique. More importantly, it supports the best chipset, amazing camera, but it would be better if there were gyro-EIS and OIS features available too. However, the galaxy M52 phone does not disappoint you, as we are familiar with the Samsung phone. With its fabulous specs, the Galaxy M52 gets 4 years of software and 3 years of OS upgrade that really deserves attention from its users. Keep in mind that this model does not have the protective glass or IP67 rating you find on the Galaxy A52. besides, night photography can be a little headache. Therefore, if you are looking for an alternative option you can definitely take a look at the Xiaomi Mi 11X smartphone.

Whenever I visit smartphone stores to observe people’s purchase behaviour, it’s common to see all of them ensure the phone has all the basics covered. Some buyers specifically tell the retailer what they look for in a phone, others give a rough overview of their requirements.

The Samsung Galaxy M23 5G was one of the additions by Samsung to their M-Series. It is packed with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 750G 5G, and a 5000mAh battery. The question here is do you prefer a 120Hz refresh but an IPS panel? Or would you rather go for a 60Hz refresh rate but get the AMOLED display?

The phone holds 5G connectivity, an apt camera, huge battery capacity, decent performance, and doesn’t trouble you in any way. The brand name Samsung can be enough to justify the overall value of the phone. Despite this, the phone specs seem to be underwhelming as per its pricing. You get a TFT LCD display, an 8nm chipset, low 4GB RAM in the base variant. Though there are various good sides of the phone, except 5G support and the Samsung brand there is no reason to buy this smartphone. There are a lot of better options available at this pricing. Even you get a better smartphone from Samsung if you go a little high or low in your budget. Besides this, the phone fulfills your requirements in every way possible. For now, you can check alternatives once such as the Realme 9 smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy M33 smartphone is a great value-for-money phone, and there’s no doubt that it’s one of the best mid-range phones of 2022. But still, we can’t let go of the flaws of this phone. If you are a heavy user and looking for exceptional camera quality, this device might feel underwhelming. But if you look at the bright side, tons of features make this phone a great choice for your money. It got a better resolution display, powerful processor, long-lasting battery, and many more things. In short, it’s a must-buy choice. If you are looking for a similar phone but with less price, check out Realme 9 in the meantime.

The Samsung Galaxy M33 5G is pretty good in terms of performance. Overall, we were quite satisfied with it. There could also be some discounts available if you purchase it online, so you could buy the phone for as low as RM1199. At this price, it's not a bad deal at all. But at RM1499, there are other options available on the market. For example, you could go for the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G. It costs the same at RM1499 but delivers better performance and a 108MP main camera. Another option is the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G, which is also at the same price and has a slightly better performance than the Galaxy M33 5G but uses a Dimensity 900 chipset and a 64MP main camera. In the end, it's mostly a matter of preferences though, so it's up to you.

Introducing, Samsung’s new Galaxy M33 5G. This phone was meant to be exclusive to India only, but for some reason, it is available in Malaysia exclusively through Lazada only. We did another video regarding our shopping experience on Lazada – so check that out on at the top right corner. Honestly speaking, the shopping experience was quick and painless yet safe. But this video is about the phone itself. What does the Galaxy M33 5G bring to the table? Well, let’s find out today.

The Samsung Galaxy M33 5G is a pretty decent option to consider if you are looking for a phone under Rs 20,000. It looks decent with the great build quality. The design, however, I believe could have been slightly unique but it is still not that bad, just boring. The performance is another area where I feel the device can be a letdown, but departments like battery, display and camera are quite good. Though, macro and selfies could have been slightly improved. Overall, if you are a Samsung fan and looking to buy a phone at an affordable price that offers a clean user experience and a great battery life, the Galaxy M33 5G is a good option to consider. If performance and camera are what matters there are phones like Redmi Note 11 Pro, Realme 9, and more. Consumers who have the Galaxy M32 can wait for the M33 5G successor.

The Samsung Galaxy M33 5G is not the best phone for the price. Yes, for the price, it offers a powerful enough chipset and good battery life. However, the rest is relatively boring, and much of it is already available on other phones that are cheaper than M33, including Samsung's own.

When considering a new phone, there are many factors that help a user decide. Their use case, budget, and at times, the brand name all matter. The Galaxy M33 fits the bill for someone who needs a big battery phone, more than the standard 5000 mAh, we see these days. The device can handle the daily basic tasks such as messaging, calls, WhatsApp, and has enough on board storage. This is also ideally for someone who is not too fussy about the camera’s other features. But if your usage involves gaming, clicking photos and videos in different lighting scenarios and your budget is in the Rs 18,000 to Rs 20,000 segment, then this is not the right pick. Samsung’s own F23, or the Redmi Note 11 or even Realme 9 series might be better suited in those cases.

The concerns arise out of the competition it faces from its Android brethren. For similar or lesser prices, smartphones such as the iQOO 9 5G, Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G, Vivo V23 Pro 5G, and Xiaomi 11T Pro are vastly superior in most ways. In terms of hardcore specs alone, these phones leave the Galaxy A73 5G biting the dust. With 20-minutes full charging, truly flagship-grade performance, and slightly better cameras, the iQOO 9 and Xiaomi 11T Pro will always be the popular picks. In fact, the Oppo Reno 7 Pro is no slouch either with its cameras and could make the A73 biting its nails. So why? Why the Galaxy A73 at Rs. 41,999? The simple answer is its quality user experience that comes right out of the box. That One UI software delivers a wholesome smartphone experience comparable to iPhones most of the time. And when you look at it as a package, the Galaxy A73 5G does not put a foot wrong. It may not have the muscles for outright bragging, but it is the most sensible buy for those wanting a no-nonsense smartphone. Try it out before you settle for one of those flagship killers

And when you look at it as a package, the Galaxy A73 5G does not put a foot wrong. It may not have the muscles for outright bragging, but it is the most sensible buy for those wanting a no-nonsense smartphone. Try it out before you settle for one of those flagship killers

The rest is all pretty boring and most of it is already available on other phones, including Samsung’s own. The Galaxy F23 5G launched in India recently, for example, is a great alternative, especially for its Snapdragon chip that’s supported much better by game developers. It even runs Android 12 like the M33 5G, and the only thing you’re giving up is phenomenal battery life for, well, not-so-phenomenal-but-still-fantastic battery life. Even last year’s Galaxy A22 5G is an alternative thanks to better cameras and comparable performance, even if it comes with an older version of Android out of the box and is slightly costlier. You’ll probably be happy with the Galaxy M33 5G if you decide to pick it up, but just know that there are other options in this segment, and it’s best to make a decision based on where your priorities lie.

Mono speaker, no charger included, slow charging, not the most advanced chipset for the money... But Samsung Galaxy M53 is the "brainchild" of a top brand with its advantages, such as a gorgeous 120 Hz AMOLED display, super-thin body, high quality shooting, convenient One UI shell. Performance is also enough for all basic tasks. So the answer to the question whether it is reasonable to overpay for it is definitely yes! But not necessarily, there are plenty of cheaper competitors.

2022 is shaping up as a sad year for midrangers, with Samsung ones particularly unexciting next to their 2021 counterparts. Such was the case with the Galaxy A53, and this is how we feel about the M53 as well. Mind you, despite the missing charger and what is effectively a chipset downgrade, it's not a bad phone in isolation. It's got a great display, battery life to spare, latest software and a decently capable camera system with some caveats when it comes to video or low light. But phones should be getting better each year, and that's not the case with the Galaxy M53. We'd agree with Samsung's choices if there were no alternative options, or the price was different. But some two months after release, the M53 still feels expensive. With apparently no shortage of supply of the objectively better models from last year (at lower prices, too), the M53 is a Galaxy we can't recommend.

The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G is an easy recommendation for those who value build quality, design and screen performance the most. It is a robust yet lightweight device with a classy look; something that isn’t too common at this price point. Despite these strengths, the Samsung Galaxy M53’s shortcomings cannot be ignored. The camera performance, especially low light photography, isn’t as consistent as some competitors such as the OnePlus Nord CE 2 and Realme 9 Pro+ offer. Additionally, if gaming is your priority, the phone doesn’t offer sustained performance under intensive workloads.

The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G smartphone is an excellent successor to the Galaxy M52. With this phone, you are getting a decent screen with a fast refresh rate, powerful performance, above-average camera support, ample battery optimization, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and more things in its arsenal. But at the same time, the phone also has some flaws. For instance, you won’t get a charger inside the box, and the sound experience with this phone is pretty dull. In that case, you can check out other alternative phones; such as the OnePlus CE 2 and Oppo F21 5G. Both of them are a great deal, but if you are specifically looking for all-rounder features, the OnePlus CE 2 can be considered a superb deal. But in the end, it’s up to you to choose as per your preference.

Samsung Galaxy M53 5G is a fairly decent phone for the price with some areas for improvement. The smartphone offers decent performance and longer battery life, but departments like the camera should have been optimised better in my opinion. The design also looks boring but the build quality is top-notch. As per company policy, none of the new Samsung phones offer a charging brick in the box, but considering the price of the Galaxy M53 5G, I would have liked to see a Type C charger in the box. Should you buy it? Samsung loyalists should definitely go for this one, as per their budget, but consumers looking for a phone with outstanding cameras can opt for the Xiaomi Mi 11i HyperCharge 5G. The Galaxy M53 5G offers decent performance, but for gamers, the Realme GT 5G makes more sense at the price point.

Okay, let’s wrap up this review of the Samsung Galaxy M53 now. From everything I’ve discussed so far, it’s clear as day that this phone is not as impressive as I initially thought it would be. Above all else, Samsung’s biggest selling point in the mid-range segment has always been the cameras. But unfortunately, this guy doesn’t live up to those expectations. Maybe that’s because Samsung hasn’t optimized the Dimensity chip well, or maybe it’s something else. Whatever the reason, the M53 needs a lot of work in the camera department. And compared to the Galaxy M52, even the performance is somewhat of a downgrade here. So if you’re looking to buy a reliable mid-range phone right now, the M53 just doesn’t make any sense as long as Samsung is still selling the M52. That too at a cheaper price! On the other hand, the Realme 9 Pro+ is still a great option in this segment! Or if you’re shopping for something that’s better-looking, has a longer software commitment, and even an official IP rating, then the Galaxy A33 is also a decent alternative—especially since it has received a healthy price cut since the launch.

The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G is an incremental upgrade over the Galaxy M52 5G. It looks premium and sports capable hardware. One of the main things working in favour of the Galaxy M53 5G is the guarantee of Android OS and security updates, which should keep it relevant longer than some of its direct competitors. In my opinion, the 6GB RAM variant offers much better value for money than the 8GB variant. I also think Samsung should have bundled a 25W charger, given the phone's price. If you're still not convinced about the Galaxy M53 5G, you should pay attention to its competitors in this segment. The Xiaomi Mi 11i HyperCharge 5G (Review) could be a great alternative as it has not only a 120Hz AMOLED display and a 108-megapixel camera, but also the more powerful Dimensity 920 SoC and a significantly faster 120W charger is bundled in the box. Those looking for a great smartphone camera should consider the Realme 9 Pro+ (Review). If you have budget constraints, the Mi 11i and the Realme GT Master Edition make for good alternatives to the Galaxy M53 5G.

Alright, verdict time. As mentioned at the beginning of this review, both the Galaxy M53 5G and the Galaxy M52 5G are available for purchase at the time of this writing. Which one should you pick up? Well, the answer’s short and sweet: If you’re okay with the fact that you won’t get OS upgrades past Android 13, there’s pretty much no reason to get the Galaxy M53. Even if you do care about getting newer software out of the box, I’d still say the M52 is the better pick. The M53’s 108MP camera simply does not give you any tangible benefits, and its MediaTek processor isn’t as good as the M52’s Snapdragon chip, especially for gaming. The M53 also misses out on NFC support (so no card support in Samsung Pay), and thanks to the processor downgrade, it lacks Wi-Fi 6 support, as well. Samsung’s basically shooting itself in the foot here by keeping both models on sale, and the M53 5G seems to exist just because Samsung can’t fight the urge to launch a new handset every few months, whether it truly brings any meaningful upgrades or not.

The Galaxy M53 5G is a device that delivers on most of its promises. The display, the performance, and the camera are all acceptable. But given the price at which it is operating, nothing here really stands out. The competition has cameras with similar specifications and many of them do perform better than Galaxy M53 and are available at a lower price. This is not to say the Galaxy M53’s camera is terrible, but rather that as a reviewer you are still looking for that one stand out point. At this particular price point (Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000), Samsung faces competition from the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge which comes with 120W fast charging, and the V23 series, which has a more stylish design to name just two. There’s also the Galaxy A53 5G which costs Rs 32,999 and might seem like a better pick given the design and overall experience. The problem for the Galaxy M53 5G is that competition seems to be a tad more appealing.

It didn’t show any signs of slowing down and stood tall with my everyday tasks. The battery can also easily handle day-to-day work. There are also some shortcomings like the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo speakers. Additionally, it might not be suitable for heavy gaming but light gaming is handled easily. The absence of a charger in the box will put some extra bucks on your shopping list. For its price of less than Rs 25,000, the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G delivers good looks and performance.

If you are a gamer, a content creator, a hobbyist photographer or have very specific taste in fashion and want a smartphone that can fulfill your needs, then Samsung Galaxy M53 5G may not be the right smartphone for you. In that case, you can refer to the several smartphones mentioned above. The Samsung Galaxy M53 does come with its glaring shortcomings. But despite them, it is a really good smartphone in its price range. And that is because of Samsung’s overall value addition. At Rs. 24,000, you get a smartphone that has a good design, ahead-of-the-segment display, decent performance, good enough cameras and a good battery life. For most consumers, that package is not bad at all. But add on top the reliability factor of Samsung – the intuitive and customizable interface, the brand value, the Knox security and consistent performance – and it becomes a really good smartphone to buy. Samsung appeals to a certain demographic which prefers a minimalist looking, all rounder smartphone. And if you have been looking for a jack-of-all-trades sort of a smartphone, then Samsung Galaxy M53 will not disappoint you.

The Galaxy M53 is an easy recommendation to immerse yourselves into a world of visual media thanks to its Super AMOLED panel at the helm. Diving into super processor intrinsic tasks, like BGMI, is certainly not a piece of cake but if your requirements are not in the realm of mobile gaming, the M53 won’t disappoint. I do take some issue though with the unnecessary throttling of the chipset’s peak performance. On the other hand, it is a small price to pay for the super slim build of the device. Camera quality, at least in daylight conditions, is very good and battery life is decent enough along with the software interface. If it is performance that you are after, options from Realme, iQOO, and others can sufficiently meet your needs.

The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G comes with several Samsung and Google apps preinstalled. It also has a lot of bloatware, some of which can bombard you with spammy notifications. You can simply uninstall the apps you won't use to reduce clutter. In my limited time with the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G, I found general performance to be good. It did not show any sign of lag and was able to keep up with my usage. At this point, I can say that the Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000 price segment has some promising phones and that the Galaxy M53 5G should make a good addition. However, the only way to know for sure whether this is a worthy smartphone or not is by reviewing it, which is what I'll be doing soon, so stay tuned for the full review coming soon only on Gadgets 360.

The M13 5G is a pretty average phone that is competing in a very crowded segment, and faces some pretty solid competition. The Samsung Galaxy M13 5G is among the cheapest 5G smartphones in India, among the likes of the Poco M4 5G and M4 Pro 5G, the Motorola Moto G51 5G, all of whom are slightly more expensive than the M13 5G’s price tag of Rs 13,999. Despite using an SoC that is almost a year old, the device manages to hold its own. And given the Galaxy M13 5G’s price, battery life, 90Hz display and the fact that it does really well on 5G, it is really difficult to fault the device for the omissions that Samsung chose. Having said that, Samsung could have done better with the display. All in all, if you are in the market looking for a 5G smartphone at the cheapest possible price, that will actually function and last you more than a year, then the Samsung Galaxy M13 5G is the safest way to go.

It is quite clear what Samsung is trying to do here. With 5G services just around the corner, the company is offering a 5G-ready device to budget buyers and how. At Rs 13,999, the Samsung Galaxy M13 5G is among the cheapest 5G smartphones in India. What’s more, the handset comes with a serviceable 90Hz display, clean UI, and a MediaTek chipset, which despite being a year old, manages to hold its ground. The phone could have done better with an FHD+ screen and an ultra-wide sensor, which have become quite common in the segment. However, if you are in the market looking for a 5G device at a budget price, the Samsung Galaxy M13 5G will undoubtedly appeal to you.
