Both the Vivo iQOO Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro smartphones have very powerful specs inside them, including a gorgeous display, flagship chipset, and excellent battery life. IQOO has managed to deliver a flagship killer experience and that too at a price that’s very lucrative. Sure, it doesn’t have waterproofing or Gorilla Glass, but including would have meant a compromise on the chipset or the display. If you are a gamer or want pure performance, you don’t want a compromise in those areas. So, both of these smartphones are excellent choices for that and it comes at a price that is totally justified for the performance it delivers. In terms of downsides, the device lacks reverse charging support and a better camera setup. Still, the device can be a good choice when you are seeking a flagship performance.

The Vivo iQOO Neo 7 Pro smartphone has almost everything, required in the affordable gaming-centric smartphone. Whether you talk about gameplay, immersive user experience, cooling system, or anything else. Smartphone makers provide amazing things at a quick budget-friendly price point. Apart from offering a high-end chipset, the device doesn’t have any major specialty. Moreover, the photography and videography aspect might be the biggest downside of this phone. In case, you are looking for a better camera experience, then you can even try out the Xiaomi Redmi K60 Ultra which comes with decent specs and price. Lastly, the final decision is in your hands so choose the phone wisely according to your needs.

So, should you buy the iQOO Neo 7 Pro? If you are an avid gamer as well as a photographer looking for a phone under Rs 35,000, this is a solid option to consider. The phone might get fairly warm while running demanding games but that won’t hamper your overall experience much. As for photography, with its various modes, the iQOO Neo 7 Pro can help you in capturing some amazing shots.

For Rs 34,999, the iQoo Neo7 Pro is a really good option to consider. So, if you are a power user looking for a new phone, then iQoo Neo7 Pro could be the one for you. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 takes care of all the performance chops, the 120Hz AMOLED is smooth and vibrant, the camera setup is not the best but clicks social media-ready pictures, and the 120W charging is also a good addition if you are someone who’s on the run. The one aspect where the Neo7 Pro lags is the software experience and where its competition has an edge. With OxygenOS, the OnePlus 11T and Nord 3 offer a much better experience, and so does the NothingOS on Nothing Phone (1).

At its current price of Rs 34,999, the iQOO Neo 7 Pro is a staggeringly good value for money. It is hands down the best phone out there for under Rs 35,000, and we would say even Rs 40,000. You can actually get its 12 GB/ 256 GB variant for less than the 8 GB/ 128 GB variant of the only other phone that we think can challenge it – the OnePlus 11R. This is one of those rare devices that ticks every box you can think of at its price. Those wanting a cleaner Android performance might prefer the OnePlus, but that comes with a higher price tag. The Nothing Phone (2) is another new device with a similar chip and clean UI but starts at an even steeper Rs 44,999. The iQOO Neo 7 Pro is in a price-performance zone of its own at the time of writing—a no-brainer for anyone seeking a budget flagship at the most affordable price.

The iQOO Neo 7 Pro turns out to be a versatile smartphone that can handle everything and also puts its competitors to the dirt when it comes to what value it is offering for the price. If the 2 year Android OS upgrade policy is manageable for you, then the iQOO Neo 7 Pro is a no-brainer.

The iQoo Neo 7 Pro 5G introduces some key features that were missing in its younger sibling, the Neo 7 5G. You get a more complete camera system with better performance and a more powerful SoC. The phone also offers a smooth 120Hz AMOLED display with good speakers and an impressive battery life with 120W fast charging. As a package, the iQoo Neo 7 Pro 5G offers great value and clearly has an edge over the OnePlus Nord 3 (Review) when it comes to raw performance. However, the Nord 3 5G offers 16GB of RAM and does have an edge when it comes to overall camera performance. The 12GB RAM variant's price of the iQoo Neo 7 Pro 5G is quite close to the OnePlus 11R 5G's (Review) base model. The 11R 5G offers a higher resolution display with curved edges and has the same performance unit. The main difference between iQoo and its OnePlus rivals is the software experience, and I think most buying decisions will ultimately boil down to the preference of Android skins.

So after testing the iQOO Neo 7 Pro 5G for about two weeks and using the smartphone, I can confidently say that this is probably the best price-to-performance ratio you can get in the market right now. For a ₹ 34,999 price tag, this smartphone takes the fight to devices that are twice its price or even more! So in terms of performance, the numbers speak for themselves.Apart from this, we get a familiar design with a premium touch, a very colour accurate display, and on top of that, a pretty decent camera which will do very well if your usage is casual and mostly for social media. The battery is also optimised towards performance, and the 120W fast charging is as fast as it gets on a smartphone in this range.

The iQOO Neo7 Pro is a performance-oriented handset with optimised gaming capabilities. The robust design is a big plus from a durability standpoint while the 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR support make it a great visual aid. Apart from that, the Neo7 Pro’s camera setup can also satisfy potential consumers. However, the phone is anything but light and compared to some other devices in the price range, it may sport a slightly bland look. It also doesn’t help that the interface has a ton of pre-installed apps that can dampen the user experience. If these things matter little to you then I feel that mobile gaming enthusiasts can find easy refuge in the Neo7 Pro’s capabilities.

On the back of the phone, there is a rectangular camera module for the triple-camera setup. The Neo 7 Pro 5G features a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 primary camera sensor with an f/1.88 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The camera system supports up to 4K 60fps video recording and comes with several features, such as Bokeh Portrait video, dual-view video, Horizon Correction, Super Night video, etc. For selfies, there is a 16-megapixel front camera. The iQoo Neo 7 Pro 5G runs on the Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13. There are some preloaded third-party apps, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Netflix, Amazon, Byju's and Spotify. It also offers dual speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner and support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, etc. The iQoo Neo 7 Pro takes on the likes of the OnePlus 11R 5G, Vivo V27 Pro (Review), and other phones under Rs. 40,000 in India. As we pointed out in the price section, the phone’s nearest competitor, the OnePlus 12R, is significantly more expensive at Rs 39,999. Yes, there are devices like the Nothing Phone (2), which can provide a cleaner interface, and the Pixel 7a, which brings some excellent cameras and smart features to the table, but let’s face it, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro stands out from the budget flagship or flagship killing crowd in terms of price and performance and even design and appearance. It pretty much redefines what one expects in the segment.

The iQOO Neo 9 Pro emerges as a commendable performance-centric smartphone, albeit falling short of being an all-rounder due to its subpar imaging system and not perfect user interface. These are areas where its sibling, the OnePlus 12r, shines, albeit at a slightly higher cost. Nonetheless, for those prioritising gaming and performance over imaging and user experience, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro warrants consideration.

The iQOO Neo 9 Pro gives OnePlus 12R a run for its money. It not only serves as a true competitor to the OnePlus 12R, but is also a smartphone that is tough to beat in its segment by any other brand. The 12 GB RAM variant that we have been testing is fantastic. I know that’s a lot of adjectives in a review, but that’s just how good the iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G is. It offers snappy performance, a decent camera, good battery life, a super responsive display, and for gamers, it’s a delight. The smartphone is priced starting at Rs 35,999, and the variant we have is priced at Rs 39,999, but bank and launch offers bring that down to Rs 36,999 –– that we think is a pretty sweet deal for this smartphone. Unless you are specifically looking for a camera-first smartphone on this budget, for daily usage, and for clicking images for social media, and for gaming in a budget, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro 5G is a great choice.

The gaming performance of a smartphone is primarily defined by its processor, and most flagship smartphones excel in gaming due to their high-end chip. Last year, I got a phone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC by paying over Rs 1,20,000, and now, in less than 12 months, we have the iQOO Neo 9 Pro with the same chip, available for less than half of that.

Similar to its predecessor, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro remains your best bet in the sub-Rs 40k segment if gaming and performance matter to you. The upgraded 50MP primary camera delivers reliable performance, although the inclusion of a telephoto camera or an improved ultra-wide camera could have given it an edge. Alternatively, if you seek a clean Android experience and an immersive Android ecosystem, the OnePlus 12R may be the ideal choice. However, for stutter-free performance and ample 256GB storage at a comparatively lower budget, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro proves to be a compelling option that won’t disappoint.

So the iQOO Neo9 Pro is the most powerful mid-range smartphone that I have tested so far. Not only does it make the competition fell short on power, it also puts the flagships to shame with the outrageous performance numbers this phone was able to put out. The battery and charging is also a superb combo, offering you the best of both worlds (long backup and fast charging), and even the camera is very good for casual users who click a photo or two every now and then. Of course, the iQOO Neo9 Pro is not for camera enthusiasts since gaming enthusiasts are the ones iQOO is catering to right now. Even the design is something that will have mixed review reviews.

Should you buy the iQoo Neo 9 Pro if you're in the market for a new smartphone around Rs. 40,000? The handset is equipped with a capable processor — the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 — and a reliable primary camera that can handle most scenarios. It also offers fast 120W charging and comes with a charger in the box. This phone's biggest competitor in India is the OnePlus 12R, which is also equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, LTPO AMOLED screen, and runs on Android 14 out-of-the-box. However, it has UFS 3.1 storage and can be charged at 100W — both of these are slower than the Neo 9 Pro. The OnePlus 12R has a 2-megapixel macro camera, but you're not missing out on much there. There are other options in this price segment such as the Oppo Reno 11 Pro, Nothing Phone 2, and the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G. However, their processors are slower than the one inside the iQoo Neo 9 Pro.

Both Vivo iQOO Neo 9 and 9 Pro are extremely high-end smartphones that one might even call flagship smartphones. After all, both smartphones do have flagship-level displays, chipsets, batteries, and even design, but they lack a few too many features to be called proper flagships. There’s no water and dust protection. Nothing for the display as well. The camera system lacks a telephoto sensor and there’s no wireless charging as well. But that’s not a bad thing considering the price these new smartphones are asking for. If IQOO had incorporated those features, the new smartphones would have been a lot more expensive but it’s not. It’s all thanks to the decisions made by IQOO and this has opened the door to these new smartphones to a whole new level of user base. There is an alternative smartphone to these two that may or may not provide better features depending on the availability of the smartphones.

In the fiercely competitive smartphone market, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro emerges as a remarkable contender, especially in the high-performance segment. This in-depth analysis focuses on the pricing strategy and overall value proposition of the Neo 9 Pro, evaluating how it stacks up against its rivals. The iQOO Neo 9 Pro is positioned in the premium mid-range segment, offering advanced features at a competitive price. The starting price of $400 for the base model is an aggressive strategy to penetrate a market dominated by established brands like OnePlus, Realme, and Xiaomi. The top-end variant, priced at $600, still undercuts many flagships, providing a high-end experience without the hefty price tag.

The iQOO Neo9 Pro has transitioned from merely accumulating performance, as observed in the previous generation, to incorporating a decentralized X100 main camera, the series’ inaugural LTPO high-quality adaptive high-refresh screen, and the Neo series’ largest battery to date. The new generation of the iQOO Neo series not only ensures high performance but also prioritizes the comprehensive user experience of the mobile phone. Performance is indisputable. The Dimensity 9300 stands as a flagship SOC with a full core. In real-game testing, Genshin Impact attains an ultra-low power consumption of merely 4.4W while maintaining a full frame rate. Such an achievement is nearly inconceivable on the Snapdragon platform. Additionally, the iQOO Neo9 Pro attains a harmonious equilibrium between high picture quality, high frame rate, and low power consumption in gaming, courtesy of iQOO’s support for the “Blue Crystal Chip Technology Stack.”

Vivo iQOO Neo 9s Pro can be considered the next flagship killer phone. The Dimensity chipset is overkill when it comes to performance, while the phone also offers decent RAM capability. With this combo, the users won’t face any performance issues with the phone. Alongside this, the fast charging and long-lasting battery capacity are something that adds value to this phone. Still, the phone might be the best choice for the camera enthusiast. Although, if you aren’t worried about little nuisance or camera technicalities, the phone still offers presentable photo and video recording abilities. In the meantime, you can also look for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus if you prefer enhanced camera capabilities. Still, there’s room to explore more. So, choose a phone that fits according to your budget and requirements.
