At the end of the day, it all boils down to the user’s preference. Xiaomi isn’t targeting users with mid-range or flagship phones but rather, Poco C3 is targeted towards those with a tight budget or to someone who is either new to smartphones or upgrading from a feature phone. Paying Rs 7,999/- for a phone which shares most of its specifications with Redmi 9A isn’t fair since the latter is available for almost Rs 1,000/- less. However, if you still want to try it without getting annoyed by ads, Poco C3 is the right choice. It is competing against the likes of Redmi 9, Realme Narzo 20A, and Realme C12 to name a few options.

If you are looking for a base Android phone to get you through the day and are not planning on doing too much heavy duty gaming, then you can think of getting the Poco C3. However, if you plan on doing something more than that, then getting a different smartphone like the Redmi 9 Prime feels like a much better option.

The base variant of the Poco C3 is a decent pick at Rs. 7,499 if all you want is a basic Android smartphone with strong battery life. The display is a bit dull, performance isn't great, and the cameras are just about serviceable. The 4GB version doesn't offer very good value, since at Rs. 8,999, you can get better phones such as the Realme Narzo 20A and Moto E7 Plus.

The ongoing pandemic makes entry-level smartphones essential to brands, as most people just need a device that can get them on a video call for work, a zoom call for school, or simply staying connected with family.

Poco C3 is a simple phone with no major highlight. It is a pocket-friendly phone priced at Rs 7,499 onwards. Having said that, the phone could be a good option for those looking for a budget phone with a decent battery and camera features. The fact that the display has a Blue light filter and is TUV Rheinland certified for eye protection, it can be a good choice for the students taking online classes.

The overall value of the Xiaomi Poco C31 smartphone is quite extraordinary as you won’t get some of the fabulous features even on the mid-range device. Whether you’re looking for rugged performance or huge battery life, the phone has it all for you. Like its Poco C3 predecessor, this device is unique at the entry-level as it has several unique features. However, that doesn’t mean the phone has issues or glitches. You still won’t have a decent camera experience, nor is the screen as excellent. But that’s all negligible if you’re considering a basic phone. We highly recommend the Xiaomi Poco C31 for its excellent value. But if you are looking for an alternative option, you can check Infinix Hot 11 smartphone.

The POCO C40 has a powerful battery, a passable camera and it is capable of solid visuals but all of these are utterly drowned by its terrible performance. It became a chore to use the device and it has left a sour taste. Now available in South Africa, the smartphone has a recommended retail price of R3 199 so it is decidedly an entry-level device. For just over double this price you can pick up the POCO X4 Pro 5G at R6 999 which has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor and 8GB of RAM. For about R1 800 more than the C40 you can pick up the TECNO Camon 17P, another entry-level device with much better performance and negligible differences in terms of camera and battery. In fact, the local market is so saturated with solid entry-level devices, there is no reason to try the POCO C40. It begs the question of why Xiaomi decided to bring this phone to South Africa. Perhaps the brand is betting that its low price will see significant sales, but we simply can’t recommend the C40 over its competitors and other POCO handsets. A disappointing entry in the usually high quality lineage of POCO devices that have shipped to South Africa. The POCO C40 is unable to break free of its poor performance even though it has solid display, camera and battery capabilities.

POCO C50 sounds like a great entry-level phone for just Rs. 6.5K and still be able to perform all the everyday tasks. It looks nice and feels light in the hands. The MediaTek Helio A22 can offer a decent performance and can easily handle calls, taking pictures and casual browsing. The 8MP is just enough to capture usable images in bright daylight. The display quality is just fine. It has an HD+ display so the contents don’t appear very sharp like an FHD display. I was really impressed with the battery backup of the phone. Yes, the 10W charging speed is very slow but I can’t complain at this price point. All in all, the POCO C50 might be the perfect first phone for someone who has a very limited budget.

Priced at Rs 7,299, the POCO C50 is a good smartphone on budget with decent display, camera, performance, and on-battery time. It has a microUSB port, which could have been replaced with a USB-C port. Barring occasionally snags, the smartphone works smoothly and has a satisfactory on-battery time. That said, the POCO C50 can do all things to an extent and fit easily in your budget.

The POCO C55 is a good performer, the MediaTek Helio G85 performs fairly well in the segment. The smartphone comes in 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant which is a good deal at this price (₹10,999). Moreover, the leather-like design, 50 MP camera, and MIUI perks add to the overall value. The micro USB port might be a letdown for some users and the 10W charging speed. The POCO C55 is overall a good value for money and a good performer for users who are looking for a smartphone under ₹10,000 budget.

At the time of writing this review, the POCO C55 was selling at Rs 8,999, which was the introductory price of the phone’s 4GB RAM variant. The handset otherwise costs Rs 9,499, while its 6GB RAM option is available with Rs 10,999 sticker price. I can’t vouch for the handset’s 6GB RAM variant since you can get a much better device for the price, such as the stock-Android Moto G32 smartphone, which is now selling at Rs 10,499. But the 4GB RAM variant feels just about right. Not many smartphones in the segment come close to the POCO in terms of performance, cameras, and battery life. So if you are tight on budget and not looking to spend anything more than Rs 9,000-9,500 on a smartphone, the POCO C55 is worth considering.

The Xiaomi Poco C55 is launched in February 2023, and the expected price of the phone would be around $121 (Rs 9,999 in India) approx. Alongside this, you will also obtain the 6.71-inch IPS LCD display that renders HD resolution. The display is also protected by panda glass and is dust and splash resistant. On top of that, you will attain the Android 12 OS experience with MIUI 13 for POCO UI, and the hardware follows the lead by the 12nm – MediaTek MT6769Z Helio G85 chipset. On the other hand, the camera setup includes a dual camera with a 50MP primary camera with a 0.08MP depth sensor. As for the front-facing camera, the Poco C55 offers a 5MP selfie camera. Both cameras can record up to 1080p resolution videos. Apart from the camera settings, the Xiaomi Poco C55 smartphone offers a Li-Po 5000 mAh battery with regular 10W fast charging support. As far as the color option is concerned, the Cool Blue, Forest Green, and Power Black are available with 4GB to 6GB of RAM and support 64GB to 128GB of internal storage.

The Poco C55 comes out as a solid budget smartphone with great design and build quality. It is powerful enough to handle casual usages like testing and calling. Even light gaming is possible. The main camera takes some good photos in proper lighting. Display quality is good for everyday use and the big battery easily lasts two days. However, the secondary and selfie camera is below average. And the 10W charging speed is quite slow. However, if those shortcomings are fine with you, the POCO C55 is a fantastic budget phone under 10K.

If you are looking for a budget phone with long battery life, bright display, and with good build quality, then you can consider the Poco C51. Keep in mind the performance is strictly average and so are the cameras. If you need better cameras at this price, then the Moto E13 should offer better low-light image quality, along with decent system performance. It also has a USB Type-C port as a bonus.

So the Poco C51 is a good device for its budget. You get a very attractive design that actually looks and feels premium, you get enough performance to run all your high-power games, and you get enough battery that will last a long time with you. However, the display is underwhelming, and you only get 10W fast charging via a micro USB port. For a budget of around Rs 8,000, the Poco C51 is a good device to go for, if you want a smooth Android experience without any premium features. It looks very good and the battery easily lasts all day and more, covering the two most important factors users look for in this budget. The camera is also not all that bad, and you get a few more convenience features like a capacitive fingerprint sensor at the back and a 3.5mm headphone jack. For a budget of Rs 8,000, this is a good deal.

In a sea of similar-looking budget phones, the Poco C65 tries to stand out with its unique design, large display and long-lasting battery life. The 6.74-inch display has a teardrop notch and 720p resolution, which feels outdated in 2024. The MediaTek Helio G85 is decent for day-to-day tasks, but opening apps can take awfully long due to the eMMC 5.1 storage. The 50-megapixel camera can take decent shots in the day but disappoints at night. The 5,000mAh battery can easily last a day, but the 10W charger can take a lot of time to charge.MIUI 14 is feature-packed, and the promise of 2 OS updates seems alluring, but the bloatware-ridden experience leaves mixed feelings. Overall, the Poco C65 is a good budget phone if you can look past the 720p screen, 10W charging and the bloatware. You can also consider other alternatives, such as the Motorola Moto G24 Power, Infinix Note 12i and the Poco M6 5G.

The POCO C65 phone falls into the category of economical and cheap phones. If you need a phone for daily tasks and phone calls that is also smart, this product will be a good choice for you. Among its strengths, you can mention the Helio G85 chip, the IPS LCD display and the possibility of adding a side memory card to the product. Keep in mind that this phone will not meet the needs of gamers and those who want to take professional photos with the phone. Therefore, if you want a second cheap phone or you can get by with a cheap phone, this phone will be suitable for you.

There is no perfect phone — or rather a phone without compromises in the budget segment. And when it comes to segment under Rs 10,000, there is absolutely no one that is going to give to users everything. There are compromises. With the Poco C65 too there are compromises. But it is also a phone where the compromises aren’t too many. In fact, when it comes to basics — design, performance, display, camera, battery life — the C65 gets it all right. The only two major issues, in my opinion are bloatware and lack of 5G. If you do not mind these two issues, or if you can compromise on them, I feel the Poco C65 is one of the best under Rs 10,000 phone you can buy. In fact, given how good its camera and how generous Poco is with RAM and storage, the Poco C65 should be high-up on the shortlist of everyone looking to purchase a phone around Rs 10,000.

The POCO C65 is a no-frills 4G smartphone, best suited for entry-level users. It offers a tall display, which is good for reading and watching content on YouTube. The battery backup is equally solid, and I am happy with the Type-C charging port. While the box includes a charger, you may want to spend a little extra on a more capable charger to enjoy faster charging. Whether to go for the smartphone, I would advise you to not choose the 256GB storage option, as it is an overkill for this segment. Its 128GB option with 6GB RAM should be sufficient for handling daily work, whether it’s watching short videos on social media or using WhatsApp. If you’re okay with spending Rs 10,000, I feel the POCO M6 5G is a better option. You may also want to check out Redmi 13C or Redmi 13C 5G (review) on Amazon, which are almost identical to the POCO C65 and POCO M6 5G, respectively. Whichever phone is available with the best offers, you may want to go for that.

For the price, yes, you should buy the Poco C65, especially if you get the Rs. 1,000 instant discount. It's got a large screen, good battery life, and decent build quality. The 50-megapixel rear camera offers average performance in daylight but isn't very good at night. However, the phone lacks 5G support, but there aren't many phones in this price segment that offer this feature. If you're looking for a budget Android phone with a big display and a battery but don't particularly care about performance or cameras, then definitely give the Poco C65 a look.

The POCO C65 enters the competitive budget smartphone arena with a compelling proposition, blending affordability with a suite of decent features. Priced attractively, especially with its early bird offer starting around $102, it targets a segment of consumers who prioritize value for money without excessive compromise on performance and features. POCO C65 Review: The New King of Entry-Level Phones? This phone shines with its MediaTek Helio G85 processor, ensuring smooth performance for everyday tasks and light gaming. With a 6.74-inch LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate, adds to its appeal. However, the device is not without its drawbacks. The teardrop notch design and the thick chin may seem a tad outdated to some users. Moreover, the camera setup, while decent in well-lit conditions, exhibits limitations in low-light photography, a common challenge in budget smartphones. So far, I’ve come across several budget POCO smartphones that get the blend of features, performance, and affordability right but the POCO C65, sadly, isn’t a smash hit. Yes, we are treated to a few improvements such as the 90 Hz display, faster charging, and sleeker body, but the misses are disappointing in the competitive Indian smartphone market. The lack of 5G, when other competitors offer it, is monumental in 2023. I am certain several phones will begin offering 5G starting next year, and the C65 was a great opportunity for POCO to gain a leg up in the game, which they missed out on. At ₹8,499 for the base 4 GB + 128 GB variant, it is a decent option for users who want a basic phone for simple tasks, but that’s about it. However, for power users, this is not the play. A great alternative at this price is the Lava Blaze 2 5G. It has similar features with a faster 5G processor.

Overall, the POCO C65 is not just a budget-friendly 4G smartphone, it looks stylish, offers plenty of RAM and storage (8 GB + 256 GB), offers a smooth 90 Hz screen, performs decently in the segment, and packs a bunch of MIUI 14 perks. All these make the POCO C65 a noteworthy contender in the entry-level smartphone segment. The price starts at ₹8,499 for its base variant which can be grabbed at ₹7,499 with offers while the top variant with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is available for ₹9,999 with offers.

Before we end this review, we have to talk about the price. The POCO C65 starts at PHP 4,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant, while the 8GB+256GB variant is priced at PHP 5,999. However, do note these prices are part of the early bird promo, and prices will go up soon. This makes it a very affordable phone, whether its for personal use or business. So, that’s about it for this review of the POCO C65. It’s got decent specs, enough to even run Genshin, and a decent camera, all for a very affordable price. But what do you think? Is it a budget phone you’ll consider this holiday season? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

We could go on, but you kind of get the point. Honestly, we didn't hate our time with the Poco C65. It is a decent enough device. Its biggest weakness, in our opinion, is the poor performance afforded by the Helio G85 chipset. Other than that, it has almost no glaring flaws, and even the performance is pretty hard to complain about at this price point. If we were shopping in this price range, we would probably try to get something that runs just a bit smoother than the Poco C65. If adjusting the budget is not an option, it should do just fine.

The Poco C61, with a large circular camera module, tries to bring an attractive design for the first time in the Rs.7,000 price segment. If you prefer style over substance, then the Poco C61 is definitely the phone for you. The Poco C61 offers a large display, long-lasting battery life and decent cameras. However, you will need to deal with the sluggish MediaTek Helio G36 chipset,720p resolution and slow 10W charging.

Poco has been delivering decent products for a while, mainly catering to diverse price categories. The X-series offers flagship-grade features, while the M-series delivers a punch in the mainstream category. However, it is the C-series that provides the real value-for-money proposition. The latest addition to this series is the Poco C61, which brings a refreshed design language along with a good combination of software and hardware, all at a starting price of Rs 6,999. But how does it fair against the competition? We have some time with the device, so here's our first look.
