After spending a good amount of time with the Poco Pad 5G, I can say it’s a solid tablet that offers a lot for its price. It’s not perfect—the LCD screen isn't as vibrant as an OLED, and it’s not the best for high-end gaming—but it handles everyday tasks really well. The large 12-inch display is great for watching videos. The sound quality is impressive too, making it feel like you’re watching on a mini TV. The tablet’s performance is smooth for most activities, and the battery life is fantastic—it’ll easily last you a full day of heavy use. Plus, with support for a keyboard and Smart Pen, there’s potential to do a lot more on this device, from casual work tasks to browsing the web.

Personally, I think that Redmi Pad is a very balanced and organic device. It has a classic design, a good screen, high battery life, and good cameras. It doesn’t have any incredible exceptional features, but it doesn’t have a single failure or significant drawback. It is a very marketable product that aims to satisfy all the needs of a middle-class user. The difficulty is how to stand out from the competition in such circumstances, but for some reason you have read this far. In short, this tablet is definitely worth a look as a purchase option for the most utilitarian tasks.

Redmi Tab seems like a well-thought project that materialised the way Xiaomi wanted it to. It not only impressed the first-time users in our office and home but also left a good impression on us. While the competition is tough in this price segment, the Redmi Pad has all the necessary ingredients and support of some nifty features to easily impress potential buyers.

Despite this, the Redmi Pad also has a lot of advantages - it offers quite good performance for tablet applications, and above all, it does not get hot. In addition, it has good 4 speakers and a not bad battery, takes decent photos and looks really beautiful. The whole thing together is really digestible, but once again I will repeat - rather to use at home. As a device that we grab from time to time to read or watch a video, this tablet is the most noteworthy.

The Redmi Pad is the longest-lasting Android device we’ve tested in the last year. The measured battery life is 16 hours, and the continuous playback of 1080P video at station B can last for 18 hours. This figure is roughly 1.5 times that of today’s mainstream mobile phones. In the case of medium and heavy use, it can basically be charged every 2 days. The charging performance is relatively average, and it takes 135 minutes to charge from 0 to 100%. However, considering its long battery life, even if it is used under high load, the number of charging times per week is not much. 10.6-inch 90Hz high-refresh screen, 6+2GB memory, 128GB UFS 2.2 flash memory, 8000mAh large-capacity battery, and 4 speakers. As an entry-level tablet, Redmi Pad has almost no obvious shortcomings in configuration.

Wrapping up this review, Xiaomi has clearly scored another winner with its latest budget tablet. The company has struck a fine balance between affordability, usability, and features, making the Redmi Pad the best budget tablet in the market right now. Other than the software limitations on the base variant and a few other minor drawbacks, this is an excellent budget tablet. And the one to beat for other new newcomers. Redmi has scored a winner with its first attempt at a budget Android tablet. The Redmi Pad has the makings of a decent tablet for entertainment. It has a premium design, a nice screen, immersive speakers, and a big battery. It is competitively priced too at PHP 13,999 for the 4GB + 128GB, and PHP 14,999 for the 6GB + 128GB. It’s positioned better compared to its competitors from other brands. However, it’s priced too close to its cousin the Xiaomi Pad 5. The 6GB + 128GB is now priced at PHP 15,999 and has a better display with a higher refresh rate, a more powerful Snapdragon 860 chipset, faster UFS 3.1 storage, a better camera, and an even bigger battery with faster charging. In this case, I’d recommend just bumping the budget a bit for this one so you can get more hardware for the price.

The Redmi Pad, with all its hardware and software features, is certainly my obvious recommendation for anyone looking to buy an Android tablet under Rs. 20,000. With a capable performance unit, a big battery and a large screen, the Redmi Pad is suitable for a majority of use cases, including gaming. I would recommend buying the 4GB RAM variant or possibly even the 6GB RAM variant. You not only get more storage but also the assurance of a smoother user experience. Some of the key MIUI 13 for Pad features such as split screen, floating windows, multi-window, etc, are not available on the 3GB RAM variant, so it makes sense to skip it.

Save for a somewhat limited multi-window implementation in software (and let's face it, not everyone even cares about multi-window), we can hardly think of any glaring issue with the Redmi Pad. Well, the rather low-spec 64GB/3GB version is to be avoided (this one doesn't support multi-window at all, mind you), but other than that, we see no reason not to recommend the higher tiers (128GB/4GB or 128GB/6GB). It's got one of the best displays you can get for the money - it's as bright as the rest of them at this price point but has no pesky contrast shifts, and it's 90Hz amongst 60Hz competitors. Battery life is towards the top of the class, and the speakers are very good too. On the outside, the metal unibody lends it an air of premiumness. Overall, the Redmi Pad is one of the nicest all-around packages if you're looking for a midrange tablet.

When it comes to picking a tablet, software and hardware both play a critical role. With the Redmi Pad, both work well in sync, though the performance is perhaps not all that it is hyped up to be. Where I think the Redmi Pad enjoys an advantage compared to some others I have reviewed with a similar price tag is with the battery and the display. If you are looking for a budget tablet, the Redmi Pad delivers well for the price.

After spending more than a week with the Redmi Pad, I can say that the company has set the bar for budget tablets. Priced under Rs. 15000, it surprisingly offers better performance and experience than any other tablet in this range. Even compared to more expensive Android tablets, this one offers much better value, and an excellent tablet experience. Considering everything, it is indeed the best option we can recommend for less than Rs. 20000.

This is pretty much the budget tablet everyone has been waiting for since the tablet market revived after the pandemic. Those who find an iPad way too expensive finally have a tablet that looks good, works well, and comes with a price tag that is right out of 2015! The Redmi Pad is undoubtedly one of the most value-for-money offerings in the budget tablet market. And, the proof is in the pudding too and the device is backed by a 90Hz 2K panel, a powerful SoC, and quad-speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos. Now, I would’ve liked to see a fingerprint sensor and a headphone jack with the device. Furthermore, the tablet doesn’t support 4G connectivity either. Putting all that aside, the starting price for the Redmi Pad is highly competitive at Rs 14,999, which makes it the tablet to beat in the market.

The Redmi Pad packs a 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 SoC with up to 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage which means it’s backed up with good hardware, delivers a decent performance, and offers a great battery life (8,000 mAh). At a starting price of Rs. 12,999, the Redmi Pad SE doesn't have a lot of competitors. You can either go for Lenovo's offerings, but those offer lower specifications. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 also provides a better display but features a slower processor and lesser RAM. However, you can go for the Honor Pad X9, which offers much better hardware, albeit at a slightly higher price tag. Finally, there are similarly spec'd tablets, such as the Oppo Pad Air (Review), which offers a better display but a slightly smaller battery and a Snapdragon 680 SoC. The Redmi Pad SE is a really well-built, budget Android tablet that is of good value for money. The display is good, the sound is excellent, and the large 8,000mAh battery can easily last you a couple of days. You also get the Android 14 update on the tablet.

Overall, the Redmi Pad SE is a decent option for those seeking a tablet for education, learning, and occasional content streaming. Priced from Rs 12,999, the device offers good value for money in its segment and serves as a reliable secondary portable device. However, if you need a tablet with powerful performance or an exceptional content-watching experience, there are other alternatives available in the market.

The Redmi Pad SE is a good tablet for those not looking to spend a lot of money. While the display has thick bezels and the charging speed could be faster, these are minor trade-offs considering the overall performance and features. If you are on a budget and need a reliable tablet for entertainment and everyday tasks, the Redmi Pad SE is definitely worth considering.

At Rs 12,999, the Redmi Pad SE is easily the best new budget tablet out there by some distance. Bring slightly older tablets into the story, however, and the Redmi Pad SE will have to contend with its own predecessor as its main rival. As we have pointed out, the Redmi Pad is available at the same price as the Redmi Pad SE and, in some places, even at lower prices. While the Redmi Pad SE does bring a bigger display, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and an 8 GB RAM variant, the Redmi Pad has a higher resolution display, a better front camera, a faster charger in the box, and what some might consider to be most important of all – a better processor. The bigger display, greater amount of RAM, and audio jack make the Redmi Pad SE a very good option for those looking for a tablet that is more of a workhorse than a benchmark buster. Unlike humans, all work and no play makes the Redmi Pad SE a good tab.

The Redmi Pad SE can be yours starting at Rs 11,999. This is hands down the most feature-packed tablet you can find in case you are tight on budget. However, if you can extend your budget for the 8GB RAM option, which costs Rs 14,999, the Redmi Pad SE has a few competitors. The Realme Pad 2 and Honor Pad X9 are good alternatives since they features screens with higher screen refresh rates and faster charging speeds. You can read more about the Realme Pad 2 in our full review. The Redmi Pad SE, meanwhile, is packaged well with higher RAM and storage configurations for the price. Additionally, it boasts a sleek design, decent display, and satisfactory performance. The battery life is also respectable, and the software features enhance the overall multimedia experience. Despite minor drawbacks like the lack of a fingerprint scanner and slow charging, the Redmi Pad SE presents excellent value for budget-conscious consumers seeking a reliable tablet for everyday tasks.

The Ziaomi Redmi Pad SE is definitely worth a look if you are looking for an Android tablet that is under that crucial $300 price point. It's a bit difficult to believe that at this price, you can get a solidly built tablet with an aluminum enclosure, a high refresh display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, up to 8GB RAM, and expandable storage, all alongside at least two OS updates. While that all looks good on paper — err, on-screen — it also works well in practice. I really enjoyed my time with this device and would have no problem recommending it to anyone who wants a midsized tablet for casual use. The Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE had no issues running apps side by side, streaming movies, or playing games. Sure, there's still space for improvement — I wish it had some kind of fingerprint scanner and that the speakers had a broader sound stage — but for $240, this tablet is a winner.

The Redmi Pad SE is currently going for just €150, a fairly good deal in our books. We liked the display, the build, the battery life and the speakers. The UI is highly customizable, albeit too heavy for the Snapdragon 680 SoC in some cases. However, consider some of the most prominent drawbacks we found. The most annoying thing is the lack of an ambient light sensor - you can't rely on the automatic brightness mode. And secondly, the charging could be faster. Sure, an argument can be made that this device will probably stay at home most of the time so it would never be far from an outlet. Still, this is one of the slowest charging tablets we've tested. If you are willing to spend just a tad more, then maybe you should consider the Xiaomi Pad 6, which has a better screen with an ambient light sensor, offers a more powerful chip and runs on the same software. Alternatively, the older Redmi Pad, the Oppo Pad Air and the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ may be up your alley depending on your software preferences, but the overall experience and hardware are similar.

At a price of just £199 – and likely cheaper, given Xiaomi’s love of a sale – the Redmi Pad SE is one of the most affordable full-sized tablets on the market. It certainly looks and feels like a more expensive tablet, with a tidy all-metal build. Its display is big and fluid too, and together with good quad speakers, it’s a decent portable video streaming tool. Special mention, too, for the Redmi Pad SE’s stamina, which is capable of carrying you through multiple days on a single charge. However, hamstrung performance, sluggish charging, and mediocre software keep this tablet feeling its price tag whenever you try to do much beyond simple streaming. It’s useful, but in a very limited sense.

Overall, I’ve really enjoyed my experience with the Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE. The powerful speakers mean that streaming sounds great, and the screen is also great to use indoors. Plus, it doesn’t run out of battery easily. Sure, the Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE makes compromises in some areas – all budget tablets do to keep the costs down. However, these shortcomings are all in the right areas, such as the cameras and charging speeds. If you want a tablet just for videos and day-to-day tasks and don’t want to spend a lot of money, then this is a stellar choice.

Despite some of the compromises made to make it more affordable, the Redmi Pad SE is a decent budget tablet in the Philippines. This is made better with its use of MIUI 14 which has a better optimization for tablets.

From the specification point of view, this Redmi Pad SE continues the excellent workmanship of the previous generation. At a price of 1,000 yuan, it has 11 inches + stereo four speakers for audio and video. It is difficult to find a better tablet at the same price. With a relatively limited budget, we naturally cannot expect its performance to be as good as that of flagship products to meet the needs of daily use. In addition, it has a very high-quality metal body design with no breakpoints on the back. There is really no better product in its category. Good product too. We actually measured the performance of “Genshin Impact” with the default image quality + 60 FPS. It can reach the level of 33.3 FPS, and the temperature is only 40°C. With such results, the performance of games such as “QQ Speed” and “Honor of Kings” that do not require high screen load will be smoother than the hardware killer “Genshin Impact”.

The Redmi tablet is an absolute entry-level tablet on the spec sheet, which is also underlined by the price tag. However, the Android 13 tablet turns out to be a real premium device in the hand and in daily use on the couch at home. The processor in the device is more mid-range, especially when it comes to graphics. This implies that demanding games like PUBG or Fortnite might not run optimally on the Redmi tablet. However, for all other regular activities and daily tasks, there are no limitations. The 6 nm SoC is not only compact but also quite contemporary. Nevertheless, there is no LTE feature. Neither is stylus nor keyboard support. Too bad, Xiaomi, because you almost convinced us with the audio jack and the microSD card support and got the full score. Thus, there are still deductions in the B score in the last meters, and it is only enough for 4.5 stars—but from the heart!

Starting at Rs 21,999, the Redmi Pad Pro offers a practical everyday tablet experience with a vibrant display, impressive speakers, long battery life, and sufficient performance for regular tasks. The inclusion of 5G SIM support is a valuable addition. However, if you're looking for a high-performance tablet or a portable workstation, there are other alternatives in the market better suited for those needs.

It might not possess the bells and whistles and power of a flagship tablet, but the Redmi Pad Pro is, in our opinion, the best device one can get if one wants not just a tablet but a tablet that can also double up as a notebook.

Redmi Pad Pro is a very good value for money product. It has a decent design with the aluminium build that adds that premium touch to the build quality. It has a pretty good display which is sharp, responsive, and sufficiently accurate at the same time, and the performance is good enough for all kinds of users. So tablets is a space where Android brands are yet to make a significant dent. While still far away from where Apple’s iPads stand in the market, there are quite a few very good Android tablets in the market. Xiaomi is one brand that has brought pretty decent tablets to India. Starting with their first tablet in the market, Xiaomi has consistently offered a very good value for money, leading up till the last device in the market, the Xiaomi Pad 6.

To conclude, the Redmi Pad Pro 5G offers an excellent value-for-money proposition. The sleek design makes it comfortable enough for on-the-go travel. The display looks good for this price segment, and the performance is decent, if not great. The battery life is impressive, though the fast charging support could have been better. As far as the competition is concerned, with the Redmi Pad Pro 5G, you have the Lenovo Tab P12 and Xiaomi Pad 6 (Review), which gives stiff competition to the tablet.

The Redmi Pad Pro 5G has some tough competition in the market. You get the Honor Pad 9 and the OnePlus Pad Go in the similar budget. Both the tablets are equally capable. However, even with some minor imperfections, the Redmi Pad Pro 5G can give a tough fight to its competition. The device offers a decent performance and the ability to multitask without any lags. At an effective price of Rs 22,999, you get a large smooth display, impressive battery backup, 5G connectivity and fantastic performance. Xiaomi has also announced some bundle offers, wherein you can get the Redmi Pad Pro with Redmi Pad Pro Cover (not the keyboard) at a starting price of Rs 21,498. If you get the Redmi Pad Pro with just the Redmi Smart Pen then it will cost you Rs 25,497. And if you bundle it with the Redmi Keyboard and the Smart Pen, you can get it at a starting price of Rs 27,997.

The Redmi Pad Pro is an excellent tablet for its €299 price point. It offers a lovely metal unibody, an excellent 12.1-inch Dolby Vision screen, four Dolby Atmos speakers, and very solid performance. You can even expand the Redmi Pad Pro capabilities by opting for the proprietary Keyboard or Smart Pen, which can add a productivity dimension to what is otherwise a media-consumption device. However, once you start piling on the extra costs for those the differences to more premium offerings diminishes so it's probably wiser to not go there. The same applies to getting the 5G version - sharing your smartphone's data connection makes so much more sense than getting a second plan specifically for a mid-range tablet. Sure, the rear camera is poor, and not having a charger was a bitter welcome, but overall, the Redmi Pad Pro managed to impress us with its performance. And we do recommend putting it on your shortlist if you are on the lookout for a budget tablet.

If you're in the market for a midrange tablet, absolutely. With high versatility, no major shortcomings, and an impressively low price, it's arguably the best midrange Android tablet to date from any manufacturer. The Xiaomi Pad 6, probably its closest competitor, has a smaller screen and shorter battery life, making it considerably less flexible. You'll be hard-pressed to find anything else at this price so capable of producing pristine video and audio, running all but the most demanding apps, lasting as long on a single charge, or encouraging productivity on the go.

Reviewing Xiaomi's Redmi Pad Pro 2024, an Android tablet that boasts premium features like a crisp 120Hz display and quad speaker setup for a price that won't pummel your budget. I've been testing the Xiaomi Redmi Pad Pro for a week so here's my verdict on the gaming performance, battery life and beyond. It's a cracker for students, families and anyone who doesn't want to make sacrifices to trim that price.

The Redmi Pad Pro shares a lot of features with the Xiaomi Pad 6, but it is much more accessible. You get a massive 12.1-inch LCD panel with good colors and HDR integration and 120Hz refresh, and it is ideally suited for entertainment. What sets the tablet apart is the 10000mAh battery; it lasts significantly longer than Xiaomi's other budget tablets, and you get 33W charging. Xiaomi is rolling out a decent keyboard case and stylus alongside the Redmi Pad Pro, and that extends its versatility considerably. There's a lot to like on the software front as well, and overall, the Redmi Pad Pro is a terrific budget tablet.

The Redmi Pad SE 8.7 is a good choice for those who are looking for a tablet to go through social media and read their eBooks or documents. It has a great display panel especially for its compact size, making it easy for you to travel around with the Pad SE 8.7. Of course, if you are looking for a gaming tablet, though, this may not be the one for you. The Redmi Pad SE 8.7 is priced at 5,999 pesos for the 64GB variant, while the 128GB version goes for PHP 6,999. You can find this in Xiaomi’s official Shopee page 77.

The Redmi Pad SE 4G comes in two storage options: 4GB+64GB for Rs 10,999 and 4GB+128GB for Rs 11,999. For a budget tablet, it packs in a lot of features that should satisfy most users. You get a good 8.7-inch display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, great speakers, a dependable battery that lasts a full day, and a smooth software experience. To top it off, the 4G support adds extra versatility, making it a good option for anyone in the market for an affordable tablet. That said, there are a couple of downsides: its brightness can be a bit lacking outdoors, and it takes a while to charge. Competing tablets include the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 and the Lenovo Tab M10. The Galaxy Tab A9 has a slightly better chipset, though its 4G version is pricier, while the Lenovo Tab M10 offers a better display but comes with a smaller battery.

The Redmi Pad SE 8.7 is one of your best options in the Philippines if you’re not willing to fork a lot of money for an iPad Mini. We wish that Xiaomi equipped the Redmi Pad SE 8.7 with a more powerful chip, but otherwise, it is the best compact tablet that you can get for under Php 10k.
