I've used a few ZTE devices over the last few years and I've come to respect what ZTE is capable of and the price at which they pull it off. While some of the earlier ZTE devices I looked at were aimed squarely at the budget market, the Axon steps up a notch and enters the market at the crowded mainstream. It's pretty easy to mistake the ZTE Axon for a flagship device.

At around £300 it doesn’t blow the likes of the OnePlus 2 out of the water or anything quite so dramatic, but we’d go so far as to recommend it over the similarly priced HTC One M9 or as a cheaper alternative to the likes of the Xperia Z3+. Nicely done ZTE, can’t wait to see what you’re cooking up next.

The $449 Axon Pro has some standout features, but ultimately, it left me unexcited. It offers a sumptuous display, outstanding audio and a camera that lets you have a lot of fun with focus. However, a polarizing design, short battery life and some software annoyances hold it back. I also want better picture quality, especially given the dual-lens setup.

ZTE surely took its time to enter the high-end smartphone market in the United States, but the Axon Pro proves that the wait has been well worth it. The newcomer presents a convincing package of well thought-out looks, superb build quality, high-end specs, and yet to be matched after sales support. The design of the smartphone impressed us with attention to detail that's not to be expected in the price range the Axon Pro inhabits. The same goes for the quality of the device's overall fit and finish.

I've got to hand it to ZTE: The Axon is the sort of powerful, budget-friendly phone I never thought the company would, or could, make. It's got gobs of power. It's mostly well-built. The camera isn't half-bad. And that tantalizing $450 price tag currently represents the floor -- the least amount of money you could spend on a phone as well-specced as this.

So, is it worth it to pick up the ZTE Axon Pro over some of the aforementioned devices? Naturally, that’s tough because there are still opportunities to advance its performance in the areas of its camera and battery life. If you’re looking for the savings in a high-end, flagship phone, you’ll certainly get it here with the Axon Pro – whereas devices like the iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6 will still cost you at least $650. This is just the beginning, as the Axon Pro is meant to be the bridge device in getting ZTE’s name into the minds of consumers. So far, it strikes a nerve that’s deeply electrical. Let’s just hope they can use the momentum to their advantage.

这是比较大的智能手机尺寸,也十分常见。
大尺寸可以让屏幕有更高的分辨率。因而例如字体等的细节将会更丰富。不过另一方面,小屏幕的功耗会较低,而设备也会更轻盈小巧,售价更低。
