Acer的Switch 12S是一台12.5寸可分离设备。它搭配了Skylake架构酷睿m处理器，为文字处理和上网浏览提供了足够的性能。这台变形本采用无噪音设计，在使用中发热量也不大，同时得利于固态硬盘响应速度很快。我们很喜欢它的屏幕，它明亮而具备高对比度以及宽广的可视角度范围。相比同类产品，Acer决定采用16:9比例而非其他设备的3:2比例设计。它的触控屏幕响应迅速，同时支持可选的手写笔。
这台可分离式测试机售价1200欧元（约8873人民币）——我们认为有些过于昂贵。在这个价位上它的整体表现弱点较多。
首先，它的电池续航只能算一般，大部分竞争对手都提供了更长的续航时间。Acer也没有在键盘底座中搭配第二块电池。它并不附带手写笔——相比之下售价较低的联想 Ideapad Miix 700附赠了键盘底座和手写笔。最后Switch仅有一年质保。考虑到Acer德国的低端笔记本电脑也有24个月质保，这让人十分难以理解。感兴趣的用户可以对比考虑微软 Surface Pro 4，联想 Ideapad Miix 700或Acer Aspire Switch 12 Alpha。它们售价都较低，性价比更高。
