The audience for the ExpertBook B9450 is somewhat specific. But that doesn’t mean it’s small. If you’re someone who doesn’t care much about processing power, but does care about portability, battery life, and storage, this laptop is worth the $1,799. Not only is it among the lightest you can buy at this size, but it’s one of few products in its weight class to feature dual storage slots. It’ll be difficult to find all three of those features in many other 14-inch laptops at this price point. Add nice build quality and the nifty numpad feature, and I imagine this is a laptop many at-home and on-the-go workers will be happy to have.

Now, the million-dollar question: should you buy it or not? Well, the simple answer to this question is a big yes. The Asus ExpertBook B9 is light and sturdy. It is loaded with security features. It has an extremely comfortable display along with long battery life. And it has powerful hardware too. Sure, the Numpad 2.0 does throw a fit once in a while but that can be easily fixed using a software update. Now, a hefty price tag might be a bummer for some, but with everything that the ExpertBook B9 is offering the price, it is somewhat justified.

It will take some searching to find another ultrabook that does what the Asus ExpertBook B9 does. Impossibly thin and light, the device is also beautifully designed and well-specced. That said, it does not come cheap, but if portability and power are key to you, this ultrabook is well worth looking at.

With a starting price of ₹62,999, the Asus Expertbook can be a consideration for anybody looking for a sturdy laptop with sufficient corporate abilities. Other users with a more focussed purpose, such as gamers, content creators, or graphic designers will find a lot of flaws and shortcomings and hence should prefer other options. Overall, the Expertbook is definitely not an expert, but rather a business specialist.

Priced Rs 1,02,228 onwards, the Asus ExpertBook B9 450F is an obvious choice if you need an enterprise-grade thin and light notebook for everyday work. Despite featuring a thin and light form factor, the notebook is quite a performer and has an impressive on-battery time. There is nothing missing here: it has a sturdy build, decent screen, practical spill-resistant backlit keyboard and touchpad, and a host of I/O ports for connectivity. And not to forget, the notebook has Wi-Fi 6 for wireless internet connectivity.

With a starting price of Rs 1,02,228, the Asus ExpertBook B9 450F is among the most practical devices I have seen in recent times. Given the work from home environment all of us seem to be stuck in for at least a few more months, this device is just what enterprises should consider for upper management personnel who need a tech upgrade. This is a frictionless device that offers users the right mix of practicality, style and convenience. I think the ThinkPad will have something to think about now.

If you're one of those users that carry laptops around, this is a great deal. Furthermore, its battery is superior and long-lasting. It's a great laptop for business travelers who need something light and manageable. Despite the low resolution, power button placement, and the 16:9 aspect ratio the laptop is absolutely fit for business travelers. So if you're thinking of acquiring an ultralight laptop for business travel then this is a worthwhile buy. This is of course if you don't mind the low resolution and aspect ratio. The battery life is long-lasting and ideal for a whole day's work.

With prices from $3,199, Asus ExpertBook B9450 is not cheap for individual buyers, but the price that will actually be paid by companies will likely vary considerably according to their IT service providers. What we can say is that it’s incredibly well built, a joy to use and ticks every box for a business-friendly ultraportable. Demanding power users might find it a bit slow, but this should be near the top of every mobile worker’s wishlist.

The ASUS ExpertBook B9 checks out in everything an on-the-go professional would need. It has a color-accurate screen with slim bezels, powerful processor, large RAM, high-speed storage, a pleasant keyboard with a functional trackpad, security features, and a long battery life. All of that is housed in a slim and lightweight chassis that not only looks good but is tough as well.

ASUS did a lot of things right with the ExpertBook B9450F. It’s incredibly light, tough, and sturdy – things that are needed in a notebook meant for the corporate world. Its screen is pretty good, and despite its faults it more than enough for daily use, perfect for meetings in coffee shops when it’s finally safe to venture outside. Its battery life is insane too and has the longest run time of any notebook we’ve tested so far in Unbox. Of course, a premium notebook like this isn’t going to be cheap, and while ASUS has yet to announce local pricing for the notebook, we expect it to be close to Php 100K for the top-tier variant.

We’re rather familiar with ASUS’s lineup of laptops. We have the VivoBook family as the budget-oriented option, and then we have the ZenBook family for premium thin and light laptops. And then out of nowhere, we now have the ASUS ExpertBook family, which offers a completely different look and feel. It is also targeted towards enterprises, but available in other variants for consumers like you and me too.

Now, the moment of truth. Is the ASUS ExpertBook B9 worth the RM9299 asking price? All things considered, I do not think I will pay that much for this laptop. I would rather opt for the lesser options which offer half the storage and no Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for RM1000 less. Or, just opt for the Core i5 variants, since there’s not much reason to opt for the Core i7 variant here anyway. If you really want raw performance, you should look at AMD-powered laptops like the VivoBook S14, instead of Intel-powered ones.

This business laptop will cost you S$2,298, which is still a little cheaper than some of its competitors in the market.

It’s quite a deal breaker to see that the ASUS ExpertBook B9 was not able to perform up to expectations. It’s holding us back from recommending it, as we know that you will be paying for something but not able to achieve its full performance. Instead, we would recommend that you should explore into a lower SKU, such as the one with the Intel Core i5 processor instead. It should produce less heat, and therefore have a probable chance of performing even better than the Core i7 version.

Sheltering in place means hours spent working and videoconferencing at home -- and on the couch or in bed, for some of us. That means battery life and lap-friendliness remain relevant even if you're not traveling or working in oddball places. But as much as I like the 14-inch Asus ExpertBook B9450 for its strengths in that respect, its price tag may be a little offputting, especially given its relative weaknesses compared with less expensive models.

This is Asus's best ultrabook to date. It nails many aspects I would want in a modern 2020 ultrabook: it's well built and ultralight, it's one of the best performers in its category, it includes one of the larger batteries in its class and doesn't compromise on inputs, IO or features. However, the rather dim matte screen and the lack of any other display option could be deal-breakers for some of you, as well as the choice to go with a quad-core Comet Lake hardware implementation. Don't get me wrong, it performs admirably, but still fades in comparison to the IceLake and six-core Comet Lake hardware you'll get with the competition. We get in-depth on all these aspects in the review down below.

Let's start with what the laptop does right: The ExpertBook B9450 has a very attractive, midnight-pearlescent chassis that is both superlightweight and durable. The 14-inch, 1080p screen is relatively bright and vivid, and the anti-glare finish makes it great for outdoor use. But the clear highlight of the ExpertBook B9450 is its ridiculously long battery life, which lasted for more than 16 hours. It's worth reiterating: that's longer than any other laptop.

But on top of offering an upgrade to the 11th Gen Intel Core processor, it does pack quite a few extra improvements this generation. The 14-inch ExpertBook weighs less than 1000 grams (2.2 lbs) and gets a significant boost in performance this year, thanks to a new Tiger Lake chip. Moreover, the Asus laptop now comes with Thunderbolt 4 instead of Thunderbolt 3 and the display has gotten brighter. But did the new version get only the reasonable upgrades or is there something to be critical about? Read our extensive review to find out!

You know, premium business notebooks are not a rarity these days. Pretty much every manufacturer out there has at least one offering in this segment. However, it is pretty hard to nail it. Well, ASUS is pretty close to doing it with its ExpertBook B9 (B9400). It is absolutely packed with features, spanning from the software-enhanced noise cancellation, located in the easy-to-use MyASUS app. From there, you can pick between three performance presets, delivering either the best out of the hardware or a completely silent operation. At the end of the day, ASUS has made a huge claim with this laptop. It has the performance, looks, and structural integrity to beat many premium laptops on the market. In fact, we think that the reason to pick another device, like the ThinkPad X1 Carbon 9th Gen, would be down only to personal preference.

The Asus ExpertBook B9450CEA (starts at $1,599.99; $2,349.99 as tested) is a 14-inch business laptop that mixes portability and power. It's super thin and light at just 0.59 inch thick and 2.2 pounds, but it still finds room inside to run a potent 11th Generation Intel Core i7 processor. The B9450CEA has an attractive grab-and-go design, more ports than you might expect, and good performance for its class, but we didn't see the extraordinary battery life we admired when testing the original B9450, and it's a bit pricey compared to some alternatives. The new ExpertBook is a solid contender with a full feature set, but we prefer the stellar Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon or a slick convertible like the Dell Latitude 9410 2-in-1 if we're going to spend this much on a luxe ultralight.

The Asus ExpertBook B9450 (B9450CEA-XH75) is one of the slimmest and lightest business laptops in the world, with the longest battery life of all laptops we’ve reviewed. Its featherweight chassis makes it a great alternative to the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon.

The ExpertBook B9 doesn’t break the mold or excel beyond our wildest dreams, but it’s a reliable business laptop with long-lasting battery life, hyperfast SSD metrics and a phenomenal speaker system. It’s also bolstered by a tough build with hypnotic (yet minimalistic) aesthetic flairs alongside a solid display that goes above and beyond the average business laptop. But its performance was underwhelming, especially since it is one of the more expensive options among competitors yet fell behind in key categories, with its Handbrake metrics being the slowest even when pitted against laptops nearly $1,000 cheaper. If you don’t mind something larger and heavier, we highly recommend the Lenovo ThinkPad Z16, as it features superior performance and a better display at a lower cost. Otherwise, the ExpertBook B9 is great for those in need of a thin and light yet sturdy business laptop.

The ASUS ExpertBook B9 is an impressive ultralight laptop with high-end specs, a great battery, and a fantastic array of ports that is an excellent choice for those working remotely or splitting their time between remote and in the office.

The Asus ExpertBook B9 is not without its charms. We like its thin and light yet durable magnesium alloy chassis and its impressive battery life. Portability, durability, and a long runtime should be high on anyone's list of priorities when shopping for a business laptop. However, the ExpertBook has relied on the same design for quite some time, and its 16:9 widescreen display and generic 720p webcam are definitely showing their age. Here's hoping Asus refreshes the system to restore it to the top ranks of business lightweights in 2024.

The ASUS ExpertBook B9400 is an excellent enterprise laptop given its productivity potential, suite of security features, and extreme portability. Just keep in mind about the RAM before ordering one as you won’t be able to upgrade it later on.

One could say that the new ASUS ExpertBook B9 OLED (B9403CVAR) has turned out well. Although, in essence, not much has changed compared to the B9403CVA model. The performance has improved slightly, except for the storage drive. Otherwise, it’s still the same laptop: ultrathin, ultralight, compact, with quality build, splendid display, premium design, and excellent battery life. The ExpertBook B9403CVAR would be an excellent choice for business professionals who aren’t tied to a specific workspace. The Asus ExpertBook B9 [B9403CVA] is a solid laptop for business people. It’s a nice amalgamation of portability and power with a good display and good battery life; not to mention, there’s Windows 11 Pro, which offers a few nifty features along with better privacy and security, and a few Asus features that subtly elevate the user experience. However, when you factor in its Rs 2,17,990/ $1826 price tag, the Asus ExpertBook B9 begins to feel a little too expensive, considering its competitors have some good business laptops at a lower price. Note:ASUS doesn’t promote the ExpertBook B9 for retail users in India since it’s a business series laptop. While the international price tag can be a reference point, Indian users can reach out to Asus for competitive prices in their regions.

The Asus ExpertBook B9 OLED is a solid notebook, but it suffers the same issue that most business laptops do — it's expensive. Therefore, all of its features need to be top notch in order to justify the price. Yeah, we got the nice keyboard, the portable and durable chassis, and even a sharp panel. But that won't make up for the short battery life and middling performance. Take a look at the HP Dragonfly. It's a little cheaper, has longer battery life, and a more vivid display. However, if you're really into the ExpertBook's style, it's not a bad purchase, but don't expect it to last longer than an average workday.

ExpertBook laptops have always been very interesting and successful representatives of the business category. The ASUS ExpertBook B9 OLED has proved this once again. It has almost everything you could want from such a model. A compact, lightweight, yet very durable body with reinforced ports and hinges, a gorgeous OLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, high performance in work tasks, a comfortable keyboard with splash protection. And, of course, long battery life. The laptop has no obvious weaknesses. The only thing that would have been nice for a complete communication package is an LTE module, which is available in some models of the line. And the price of the laptop will not be affordable for everyone. Corporate models are often quite expensive.

ASUS ExpertBook B9 is the perfect solution for the businessman who is not tied to his workplace. Such a light, compact device will be comfortable to work at home, take it with you to the office, co-working or business trip. But despite the small size, the laptop is highly productive for its segment of devices. It is clear that it is not gaming, but it copes with work tasks easily and quickly, which is clearly proved by the tests I conducted. From myself I will say that it was very convenient to work or view content on it, and my wife liked to write her book on it. So I recommend this laptop to anyone who wants to work comfortably on a computer, wherever they are and whatever they do. I can say with confidence – ExpertBook B9 will be a reliable assistant. If I was looking for a comfortable laptop for work, I would definitely take ExpertBook B9 for three important reasons: it is lightweight, productive and stylish. I believe that a modern ultrabook should fulfil exactly these needs.

A lot of business laptops fail to offer anything interesting, leaving a lot of room for improvement in certain aspects of the user experience. But ASUS ExpertBook B9 is much more interesting. In addition to a sufficient level of performance and good battery life, the laptop has a great display and speakers, its manipulators are completely satisfactory, the webcamera and microphones will allow you to communicate with family and colleagues without any problems, there are many options for quick authentication and even the ability to expand the drive. It's a really cool laptop. But yes, it's still quite expensive, and for some reason this model is without an LTE modem, which would definitely be nice for a laptop of this class.
