To sum up, Honor Magic6 lite looks attractive in terms of design and offers a very good display. If you mainly care about the appearance of the phone and the quality of the screen, it is worth considering this model. Moreover, you shouldn't be disappointed with the phone's performance and communication functions. However, it is worth keeping in mind some disadvantages, such as the weak wide-angle camera and the inability to record 4K video with the selfie camera. Additionally, the lack of a charger in the box may be disappointing considering the price of the phone is around EUR 400. Overall, Honor Magic6 Lite 5G is perfect for people who use the main camera to take photos, appreciate the phone's aesthetics and high screen quality, and also need good communication features.

The first phone I planned to review this year was this stunning sunrise orange Magic 6 Lite mid-range handset from Honor. It should have adorned this website the very first week in January, but thanks to the joys of Brexit, the device got stopped by customs, ended up back in London and eventually arrived in my hands safely towards the end of March. Headline features are a 108MP main camera and a large 5300mAh battery that should last most users two days.

The wobbles in the camera department and mediocre performance take some of the shine off the Honor Magic 6 Lite but they aren’t drastic enough drawbacks to dull it completely. Even the limited software support, which is by far my strongest criticism, is ultimately overshadowed by the level of quality you’re getting for your money here. Battery life is terrific, the display is big, bright and beautifully represented and the design has a style well above its pay grade. Even the main camera, which is admittedly weighed down by lacklustre backing dancers, delivers effective improvements over its predecessor. For an affordable mid-range handset with the looks and stamina of a pricier phone, the Honor Magic 6 Lite is a real charmer.

After reviewing the HONOR Magic6 Lite, my feelings are mixed. Its predecessor, the Magic5 Lite, was not perfect either, but it was affordable, so the overall assessment was positive. However, by that time, it had been on the market for a while and had become cheaper. The Magic6 Lite is priced at around $360 – what do we get for this money? A powerful battery – yes. A vibrant and beautiful curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate – yes. The processor – overall okay. A slim body and a version with orange eco-leather – yes, cool. Well-optimized interface – probably, but with the old Android 13 and short support. So, here we started talking about the downsides. HONOR Magic6 LiteAnd there are enough downsides – the package is poor, there is no charger or case (competitors offer these for the same price).

Showing outstanding results in autonomy and discharge efficiency, the Honor Magic6 Lite (5800 mAh) has positioned itself among the top devices in our database, with a battery performance that came very close to matching the Magic6 series’ Pro model. As its name indicates, the Honor Magic6 Lite (5800 mAh) comes with a robust battery that is slightly bigger than the 5600 mAh in the Magic6 Pro, and considerably bigger than an earlier Magic6 Lite (5300 mAh) release. The Magic6 Lite (5800 mAh) showed an impressive battery life of more than three days when used moderately. Across various test cases, particularly in video streaming, idle screen-on, and music streaming under both Wi-Fi and 4G conditions, the Magic6 Lite (5800 mAh) also demonstrated exceptional autonomy.

Should you get the HONOR Magic6 Lite? Well, that’s a question only you can answer. But… if you have a limited budget, and this phone is in it, it’s worth considering, at the very least. There are a lot of upsides when it comes to the HONOR Magic6 Lite. This smartphone offers great design, and I’m not only talking about how it looks, but how it feels in the hand. It may be large, but it’s not heavy at all, and HONOR did an outstanding job with the shape of the device. There are no sharp edges or anything of the sort, not even close to it. On top of that, the HONOR Magic6 Lite has a great display. This is one of the best displays in this price range, without a doubt. The performance is also really good, and the battery life is great. Charging could be faster, but we do have to keep in mind what’s the price tag here. This phone’s weakest point is in the camera department.

The Honor Magic 6 Lite offers a lot for its asking price, and the fact that it looks the part sweetens the deal further. You get more RAM and storage than most brands offer at this price point, a lovely display with high-frequency PWM dimming, a mammoth battery and a solid primary camera. It’s not perfect, though. The poor video performance and lacklustre auxiliary cameras are disappointing, and the same goes for the outdated operating system and slow charging speeds. Middle-of-the-road graphical performance will be a turn-off for keen gamers, too. If the camera performance is a high priority, you’ll have a better time with the Google Pixel 7a, which can be had for about £30 more at the time of writing. However, you won’t get quite such an impressive display, and you’ll be halving the storage. If display quality and battery life are high priorities, the Honor Magic 6 Lite is hard to beat at this price.

The Honor Magic 6 Lite seems to have all the right specs needed to make a premium smartphone. It has a great design, display, chipset, camera, battery, and everything you could think of. And oh yes, it also has 5G connectivity. A complete premium package in itself. However, it is not a brand-new smartphone. It is a rebrand of the Honor X9b that was released not so long ago. This is not a bad thing. Look at it this way. If Honor Magic 6 Lite fails to launch or you are unable to get it in your region, you can just get the Honor X9b, which is the same. However, what if Honor smartphones are not available in your region at all? Then we have an alternative smartphone for you. The Vivo iQOO Z7 Pro is the one to go for if Honor smartphones are not your thing. It should be similar in terms of pricing while offering equal or better specs in many ways. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your requirements and needs.

Reviewing the Honor Magic 6 Lite, including an unboxing, camera test, gaming performance and battery life thoughts after a week of use. I've been testing the budget-friendly Honor Magic 6 Lite as my full-time phone for several days and yes, the software isn't great while the experience can be buggy. However, the battery life is sublime, you can game on Genshin Impact and that screen is a stunner. This smartphone can be yours from Jan 10th for a price of £349 UK. Those specs and the camera haven't massively changed vs the older 5 Lite, but Honor has boosted the battery size and no complaints on longevity. Although the charging speeds are now slower, bizarrely.

The Magic 6 Lite isn’t an awful lot different from last year’s Magic 5 Lite – but seeing how that was quite the bargain, I don’t think that’s a bad thing in the slightest. Honor has refined what was already a rather sharp looking smartphone into something that could easily be mistaken for a much more expensive device. Battery life is exceptional for the cash, and that lead camera is impressively detailed. However, not changing things up also means a few returning issues. I still don’t see the point in adding a macro camera, Honor’s software update commitments are basic, and gaming still isn’t a strong point, even among affordable phones. And are curved edge screens really still the status symbol they once were, now Google and Samsung have ditched them from their flagships? That said, Honor has managed to avoid cost of living increases better than many rivals. The Magic 6 Lite is considerably cheaper than a Google Pixel 7a. That alone could still make it a great choice for anyone on a modest budget.

The Honor Magic6 Lite (5300 mAh) battery placed high in our ranking thanks to its excellent performances in autonomy and efficiency. In terms of efficiency, the Honor Magic6 Lite demonstrated a low discharging current in all our test cases, especially in idle screen off and video streaming 4G. On the other hand, the powerful charger was not contributing in favor of overall charging efficiency. The overall charge-up efficiency was only 71.9%, which ranked in the bottom half of our database. When compared with devices from the same price range ($200 – $399), the Honor Magic6 Lite (5300 mAh) ranked behind its predecessor, the Magic5 Lite. The device had an outstanding showing in autonomy and efficiency.

The HONOR Magic6 Pro has all the makings of a great flagship smartphone — impressive camera, great performance, long battery life and beautiful display. It’s hard to find any fault with the Magic6 Pro. You’d have to be really nit-picky if you had something wrong to say about this device. It’s not perfect, but it’s got everything you would hoped for in a flagship smartphone. HONOR did a good job in making the Magic6 Pro a polished and well-rounded flagship smartphone, placing it as one of the top contenders for best flagship smartphone this year.

Honor was once a brand whose name adorned the shelves of the budget mobile aisle, but with the launch of the Honor Magic 5 Pro in 2023, the former Huawei subsidiary proved itself capable of competing with the likes of Apple and Samsung in the premium hardware department. Honor has since rocked the boat with a truly unique foldable phone (see the Honor Magic V2), while maintaining a strong presence in the mid-range category (see the Honor 90), but it’s clear that the Chinese company has its sights set firmly on the luxury electronics market. The Honor Magic 6 Pro is the latest feature-packed flagship to emerge from Honor’s R&D labs, and it marks another leap forward for this fast-growing mobile manufacturer. In essence, the Magic 6 Pro is the Magic 5 Pro with an even more adventurous rear design, a slightly better camera system and all-new AI smarts, which seems to be the usual upgrade recipe for today’s best phones.

Maybe. It’s definitely worth considering. The Honor Magic 6 Pro costs about $1,100 USD, cheaper than some of its flagship contemporaries and on par or better than others offering the same memory and storage. It’s also readily available from different online retailers.

Put together, the Honor Magic6 Pro has a strong value proposition despite a few shortcomings. If you don’t think AI features are important yet, Honor saves you the trouble of figuring things out by prioritising the basics. Meanwhile, while the phone's handling and usability are great, its overall design looks and feels dated. How much this bothers you depends on your interests and priorities for a new top-of-the-line handset. If it's value you seek, Honor's Magic6 Pro has made its mark amongst top-end Android phones and is an easy recommendation, minus the design sense and AI smarts. S$1,399 isn't cheap, but it's cheaper than its peers.

The Honor Magic6 Pro Display put in a top-scoring performance, with an all-around excellent user experience in all our use cases, particularly in gaming. The Magic6 Pro’s readability was overall excellent in all lighting environments, with a steady and reliable performance. While the maximum brightness did not reach the same levels attained by some of the Magic6 Pro’s competitors, the screen was consistently and comfortably readable in all conditions – not too bright in low-light or dark conditions and not too dark when outdoors to affect the user experience. Additionally, the outdoor brightness level remained consistent for all types of displayed content, which is not the case for most competitors’ devices, whose display luminance decreases as white areas on the screen increase. Although the device appeared uniform in our test, a faint striped pattern was visible on the screen when room or background conditions turned dark.

Honor Magic 6 Pro ticks plenty of boxes in its bid to woo consumers away from the big two, Apple and Samsung. It costs €1,319 but you get a top-tier camera system, huge amount of storage, great battery life, superfast charging, clever AI features and a fantastic screen that’s brighter than all the rest. And on top of this, you get that exquisite and unique design. In short, it is one of the best smartphones you can buy. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (priced at €1,469) remains the absolute best handset you can buy, but Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro (priced at €1,274.91) and Honor Magic 6 Pro (priced at €1,319) provide compelling Android alternatives – the former is more suitable for gamers and the latter would be better for photography lovers. However, both OnePlus 12 (at €999) and last year’s Google Pixel 8 Pro at (€875 currently on Amazon) offer stiff competition thanks to their price point.

There’s a lot to like about the Honor Magic 6 Pro. If you’re looking for a high-end smartphone that is well-suited to photography, but, crucially, your budget is somewhat restricted, it’s a fantastic option to go for. For the price, you get a great set of specifications and a well-performing camera across a variety of different subjects. It very easily holds its own against bigger or more familiar names on the market, including Samsung, Apple and Google. There has been some improvement when compared to the Honor Magic 5 Pro, but probably not enough to warrant upgrading imminently, unless you really want to. I’d have liked to have seen some better leaps made with the portrait mode, but otherwise, the main sensor and its accompanying lens, plus the new periscope lens do a good all-round job.

The HONOR Magic6 Pro brings about some notable improvements over its already impressive predecessor, and there really isn’t much to complain about. If you still enjoy having curved displays, this will inevitably be at the top of the list given that some its competitors are moving towards a flat one, and its retail price of RM4,499 does give it a bit more edge compared to its competition. Given how durable it is, this is one of the few flagship phones you can use naked without issues, but it’s still nice of HONOR to provide a free protective case for good measure.

It's packed with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, boasts 12 GB of RAM, and offers an impressive 512 GB of storage. The device dazzles with its 6.8-inch curved display, which boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 5000 nits. The camera system sets a new standard with a 180-MP periscope telephoto lens, offering unparalleled photography capabilities. Additionally, the integration of AI with MagicOS enhances the user experience on the Android OS. Despite some critiques on the software front, the Honor Magic 6 Pro's promise of long-term support with four major software updates and five years of security patches reflects a commitment to durability and user satisfaction.

HONOR knows how to build great hardware, and the Magic 6 Pro smashes the fundamentals out of the park. The camera setup continues to improve too, and, while not quite as consistent as the very best, it has enough overall sparkle to give any affordable flagship a run for its money. The HONOR Magic 6 Pro nails the core smartphone requirements with a brilliant display, snappy performance, fast charging, and more than a day of battery life, matching and even surpassing more expensive flagships. The camera setup is a mostly brilliant piece of kit for the price too, albeit with a few caveats for the pickest mobile photographers. However, the design and software are likely to split the crowd, and the high price tag prevents the phone from being a slam-dunk recommendation for everyone.

Honor has outdone themselves this year with their eponymous Honor Magic6 Pro. Their latest flagship phone blends superb hardware with an equally good four years of OS updates along with exceptional camera performance as well as an impressively tough NanoCrystal Shield display. There’s still a few odd quirks with the firmware but this is otherwise an excellent flagship phone that is worthy of consideration.

The Honor Magic 6 Pro is a good-looking phone, offering plenty of power and performance for the money. It's a verifiable flagship phone, but it is let down by the software experience. There are changes in this phone that aren't necessary - and sure, you get used to those changes, but the point is they shouldn't have been changed in the first place. The display is good if you're still hankering for curves at the edges, while the speakers will blast out tunes with respectable fidelity. Top that up with really fast charging (if you've got a high-wattage charger) and this is a phone that's certainly worth considering for myriad reasons.

The Magic6 Pro is a solid and high-performing flagship that brings meaningful upgrades for the end-user. It has certainly upped its game with MagicOS 8.0 with features that are actually useful, despite some of them being a bit gimmicky. The only two major complaints I have with this phone are the same ones that I’ve had with its previous models, which are the unnecessary curved edges on the display and the image processing that goes too far, resulting in some of its outdoor photos being overblown. At RM4,499, the Magic6 Pro is definitely not a cheap device, but as I said in the beginning, this is the best of what the brand has to offer and is in line with the price range of flagships these days when it comes to the cream of the crop.

Possibly, but only if you’re a very specific type of smartphone user. One who takes lots of photos, and cares about the quality being on par with the best camera phones around. Someone who needs top-tier performance and displays, and likes the idea of the iPhone’s Dynamic Island and Face ID but on Android. If that’s you, and you don’t mind the high asking price, the Magic 6 Pro might be the phone for you. But if it feels a little expensive, you don’t particularly like the design or a slick software experience is important to you, there are better options elsewhere.

Is the HONOR Magic6 Pro the phone for you? Well… it’s certainly an interesting phone. As I mentioned several times in the review, I see this phone as a hybrid of iOS and Android, in a way. Throughout my entire usage cycle, I felt that way, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. This is the first slab phone that I thoroughly enjoyed using since I switched to foldables. I don’t even know why, to be quite honest. I still have quite a few complaints about its software, but that combination of Android and iOS aspects really appealed to me, in combination with the phone’s camera performance, battery life, and design. The HONOR Magic6 Pro is a complete package, that’s hard to deny. Its software is noticeably improved compared to last year’s model, and the camera improvements are also easily noticeable. The HONOR Magic6 Pro is a great phone, and if you’re in the market for a flagship-grade device, this one is definitely worth considering.

As a flagship phone that’s up against some strong competition from Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi and the rest, the Honor Magic 6 Pro is a strong proposition. It has some excellent cameras, a powerful processor at the heart of it all, and the zeitgeisty application of AI to hit marketing talking points. If you’re looking at spending over £1,000 on an Android phone then there are certain other elephants in the room that it would be foolish not to consider. The price of this phone is high, but so is the performance and quality, so it deserves a spot on anyone’s wish list.

The Honor Magic6 Pro delivered an outstanding performance in the DXOMARK Camera tests, earning itself the top spot in our ranking, ahead of heavyweight devices, such as the Huawei Mate 60 Pro+, Oppo Find X7 Ultra or Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max. It achieved excellent results across pretty much all test areas, without showing real weaknesses, and is also a noticeable improvement over its predecessor Magic5 Pro. For photo, the Magic6 Pro achieved a joint top score with the Huawei Mate 60 Pro+, thanks to nice colors as well as an excellent dynamic range and good face contrast, even in difficult backlit scenes. In addition, the autofocus system was a major plus point, operating accurately and quickly in all conditions.

The Magic 6 Pro is an excellent smartphone. But is it a great smartphone? The hardware is top-notch, but we feel the photography lies a little adrift of the very best. But the overall problem is the price point which is a little too high compared to rivals. It’s a shame, because what is on offer here is a fantastic phone. If O2 do sell it in the UK (the network said it would be stocking Honor devices on stage at its launch) then it will be interesting to see how is priced on contract. If you can get it cheaply on a reasonable deal then you won’t go wrong – this is an excellent Android flagship phone. The Honor Magic 6 Pro is ace, lasts for ages and is quick to take great shots. If you decide to get one on a deal, you’ll have a truly awesome phone on your hands.

The Magic 6 Pro is among the most compelling Android flagships available this year. It has excellent cameras, a sharp display, and great battery life coupled with fast charging. On the other hand, it's held back by the software upgrade policy, and I am concerned about wear and tear on the display. That said, the Magic 6 Pro has helped reinvigorate my enthusiasm around phones through its futuristic features such as eye-tracking.

There’s more than a little bit of Magic housed within Honor’s flagship smartphone, but its availability and compatibility within the borders of North America are what will hold it back far more than any of my trifles with the device. For the price you’d pay, you’re acquiring a top-of-the-line device touting the kind of components you’d expect from only the biggest names in the US market. That’s paired with a sensationally sleek design that oozes class, and an Android wrapper in MagicOS that, while leaning a little too heavily on its influences, has plenty to offer in terms of unique features and future support. I think Honor has produced a fantastic smartphone here, and I almost feel bad we can’t give it a star rating due to being unable to get it to our lab in time for testing. So, instead of a star rating, hear me loud and clear when I say this, for I’ll only say it once. As an Englishman, the fact I can acquire tech like this almost makes it bearable that I live on the same continent as the French.

This near 7-inch phone's camera tech dominates that back end, and it's a capable shooter in any conditions. Even night photography isn't a hassle for the Honor Magic 6 Pro. You've got a 180MP zoom lens, which means decent telephoto shots in lower light, plus 4k video recording. Gamers will also be happy with the performance and battery life here. The Honor Magic 6 Pro is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, so even Genshin Impact and the most demanding games can play with a respectable frame rate. What's unexpected is the fact that Magic OS has improved, although the Honor Magic 6 Pro also takes influence from the iPhone 15 series with its floater selfie cam shenanigans and iOS features.

The Honor Magic 6 Pro is a viable alternative to Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra, offering comparable – if not better – camera performance than Samsung’s flagship, along with a gorgeous curved design, high-end screen tech with an industry-leading 5000nits peak brightness, excellent performance from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and all-day battery life – and all at a cheaper price point than Samsung’s top-end alternative. It’s not perfect, especially in the software department where I feel that Honor’s MagicOS 8 could do with a few QOL tweaks and less of a focus on being an iOS dupe. It also lacks long-term support, offering 4 OS upgrades and five years of security patches, while the Pixel 8 and Galaxy S24 offer an extended seven years of updates, and its MagicPortal AI tech is a little lacklustre at launch. However, I feel that the vast majority of users could learn to live with Honor’s software quirks when there’s such great hardware on offer.

High-end Honor handsets can easily get overlooked in a crowd of more famed top-tier offerings. But just because their Magic lineup may not be the one you think of first, it doesn't mean you shouldn't seriously consider the Magic6 Pro. It's not perfect, that's for sure. For its cameraphone aspirations, the Honor's video quality is a bit… unreliable. Certain specific circumstances can trip its camera in stills too, but those aren't that bothersome. Similarly, a few minor software peculiarities had us irked along the way. But that's really the magnitude of the 'problems' we had with the Magic6 Pro. These are easily outweighed by the phone's strong points though. The Magic6 PRo's display is truly great, even for the class. The battery life is towards the top of the chart, charging is quicker than at least the Samsung.

A phone like the HONOR Magic 6 Pro is up against some serious competition. The previously mentioned Galaxy S24 Ultra ($1419.99 at Amazon) is a major contender, as is the Pixel 8 Pro ($999 at Amazon). Thankfully, in Europe, the Magic 6 Pro undercuts the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s list price by quite a bit. At €1,299 (~$1,408), it is now a decent alternative to the Ultra. However, that’s still more than the Pixel 8 Pro, which lands at €1,099 (~$1,191). Even so, the periscope zoom on this thing is outrageous, so if that’s a big part of your smartphone needs, this might be worth grabbing for that alone. What do you think? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned for our full review of the Magic 6 Pro, coming soon!

With a DXOMARK Audio score of 155, the Honor Magic6 Pro is among the very best devices tested to date under our Audio protocol, delivering strong results across all playback and recording sub-tests. In playback our experts particularly liked the Magic6 Pro’s performance for timbre, spatial and volume. Attacks were snappy and the sound quite punchy overall. A slight boost in the low end brought more depth, although it could also lead to some resonances or light distortion, which could also deteriorate bass precision. Playback quality was especially good when playing games, but results were also excellent for watching movies and music consumption. In recording tests, the audio zoom feature is excellent and very effective, while wind noise was very well under control.

As far as I’m concerned, the Honor Magic 6 Pro deserves a recommendation based on the battery life alone. As well as being the second-best phone battery life we’ve ever recorded, it offers competitive performance, a gorgeous display, robust cameras and useful features that other flagships don’t, including the high-frequency PWM dimming, TOF 3D sensor and IR blaster. Launching with a sub-£1,000 256GB variant would have broadened the Magic 6 Pro’s appeal, but for what it is, there are still very few drawbacks. If you want class-leading performance and the best zoom shots around, you’ll need to fork out for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Otherwise, consider saving a couple of hundred quid and picking up Honor’s excellent and feature-rich Magic 6 Pro.

The Honor Magic 6 Pro is all-in-all an impressive device with some serious hardware breakthroughs. Like with most other Honor phones, it's held back by its software, even as the company works on getting up to par with the Samsungs and Googles of this world. That's in part thanks to clever tricks like its Magic Portal, which could become a genuinely useful AI feature that fits cuts down on a lot of copying and pasting. If you want the latest and greatest hardware more than a software experience that is polished to the levels of iPhone and Pixel smoothness, you'll be happy with the Magic 6 Pro. The same is true if you value battery life above everything else, thanks to Honor pairing a big battery with its software battery optimizations. Combined with the polished hardware and the versatile camera setup, it’s Honor’s most enticing phone in a while. There are still reasons to go for different phones, though.

The Honor Magic 6 Pro emerges as a strong contender in the premium smartphone market. It's packed with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, has a robust 12GB RAM, and an impressive 512GB storage. The device dazzles with a 6.8-inch curved display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 5000 nits. The camera system sets a new standard with a 180-MP periscope telephoto lens, promising unparalleled photography capabilities. Additionally, the integration of AI with MagicOS introduces an intent-driven user interface—although the full potential of these features remains to be seen in future updates. Despite some critiques on the software front, the Honor Magic 6 Pro's promise of long-term support with four major software updates and five years of security patches reflects a commitment to durability and user satisfaction.

The Honor Magic 6 Pro is an impressive device, no doubt about it. Honor has brought the silicon-carbon battery outside China, and now we can enjoy the added capacity globally. The battery life is great, and the camera system is up there with the big boys, challenging even the S24 Ultra in some scenarios. There's a potent chipset inside, and the AI magic sprinkled on the OS is really helpful, although the functionality is a bit limited at the moment. We can definitely recommend this device if you're willing to try something different. On the flip side, the phone isn't exactly cheap, and you'll need to put in some extra effort to get one (no Magic 6 Pro in the US). But if you're feeling adventurous and you're willing to take this leap of faith, the Honor Magic 6 Pro won't disappoint.

The Honor Magic6 Pro provided an excellent overall battery experience, with impressive improvements in autonomy and charging that pushed the flagship device into the top position of the Battery ranking, a rare feat for an ultra-premium smartphone. Equipped with a large 5600 mAh battery, the Honor Magic6 Pro, offered more than 3 and a half days of autonomy under moderate usage. The device performed impressively in most individual test cases, including the idle screen-on, video streaming, gaming, and calling. However, idle screen off and music-streaming test cases under Wi-Fi conditions showed weaker performances. The peak wired charging power supported by the Honor Magic6 Pro increased to 80W, allowing the device to be fully charged in 1 hour and 11 minutes. The maximum wireless charging power at 66W was not far behind, providing a full charge in less than 1 hour 20 mins. In our 5-minute quick charge test, the device was able to regain more than 7.5 hours of autonomy, which ranked it at the top half of our database.

The Honor Magic6 Pro Display put in a top-scoring performance, with an all-around excellent user experience in all our use cases, particularly in gaming. The Magic6 Pro’s readability was overall excellent in all lighting environments, with a steady and reliable performance. While the maximum brightness did not reach the same levels attained by the Galaxy S24 Ultra or even some of the Magic6 Pro’s competitors, the screen was consistently and comfortably readable in all conditions – not too bright in low-light or dark conditions and not too dark when outdoors to affect the user experience. Additionally, the outdoor brightness level remained consistent for all types of displayed content, which is not the case for most competitors’ devices, whose display luminance decreases as white areas on the screen increase.

Combined with the polished hardware and the versatile camera setup, it’s Honor’s most enticing phone in a while. There are still reasons to go for different phones, though.

The Magic 6 Pro combines a striking design with the latest hardware, and the 5600mAh battery delivers the best battery life of any phone I tested this year. It also has noteworthy camera upgrades that put it alongside the best Android phones, one of the brightest OLED panels you can get today, and all the extras you care about. The software has plenty of positives as well, with Honor positioning AI as a key differentiator. If you're not deterred by the €1,299 asking price, the Magic 6 Pro may just be one of the best phones of the year.

The Honor Magic6 Pro delivered an impressive performance in the DXOMARK Selfie test, achieving the highest overall score to date. The new model’s updated front camera hardware undoubtedly contributed to this outstanding result and helped achieve noticeable improvements over the predecessor. While the Magic5 Pro had to make do with a 12MP image sensor and f/2.4-aperture lens, the new device comes with a 50MP resolution and a wider f/2 aperture, offering significantly better light collection capabilities. In addition, the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset provides plenty of image processing power and the addition of an autofocus system allows for precise focusing at all subject distances. In our tests, the Honor Magic6 Pro delivered the most well-rounded performance to date, achieving excellent results across all sub-attributes.

The Honor Magic6 Pro Display put in a top-scoring performance, with an all-around excellent user experience in all our use cases, particularly in gaming. The device’s display showed significant improvements over its predecessor the Honor Magic5 Pro in all subscores, especially in motion. The Magic6 Pro achieved a top score in motion thanks to its exceptional management of frame mismatches and motion blur, providing the user with an excellent experience watching high-quality videos or playing video games. Also contributing to the top score in motion was the absence of any delayed playback when sliding forward or backward on a video. In touch, the Honor Magic6 Pro came very close to the top score, but the screen lacked some smoothness when viewing the gallery.

The Honor designed the best flagship smartphone with the Honor Magic 6 Pro. They wanted to provide a better alternative to the best flagship smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus and they achieved it, more or less. If you take the display, the Honor Magic 6 Pro smartphone can be out of the park. The same goes for the design and the charging department. But it’s not all roses and sunshine. It doesn’t beat all the flagship phones in every department and we can’t expect them to, not at this price range. It costs significantly less while providing similar or even better specs as you now know. So, if you are in the market for a new flagship smartphone, then may give this smartphone a try and save some cash in the result. But if you want brand value or can’t get out of the iOS ecosystem, then this smartphone is not for you. The closest alternative to this smartphone is the iQOO 12 Pro, which sports similar specs while costing even less. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your requirements and needs.

The Honor Magic 6 Ultimate is a fantastic flagship device according to the 2024 smartphone standard. Whether you look at the performance, camera, display, or battery department, the phone delivers great results in all of those four points. There’s no denying that Honor is exclusively available in the Chinese smartphone market. However, the manufacturer often didn’t release their phones outside China. There’s a high possibility that the phone won’t appear outside China. Down the line, the Magic6 RSR Porsche Design has a higher chance of being released on the global market in a few months. In that case, you should also explore alternatives like the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra. It would give a completely different experience as compared to other flagship smartphones. But still, it’s recommended to pick a phone that meets your requirements.

The Honor Magic 6 RSR is all about luxury, with the design, display, specifications, cameras and performance all top-of-the-line. Of course, luxury goods come with luxury price tags, and the regular Magic 6 Pro definitely offers better value for money. However, if you need lots of storage, or you just fancy treating yourself to one of the flashiest mobiles around, this is an excellent choice.

Should you buy the Honor Magic 6 RSR? Of course! The only downside to this phone is its price (1,900 euros is a pretty hefty price tag), but given the name and the brand association, this is still the cheapest way to own a Porsche. Jokes aside, there's a lot going on for this phone. The Honor Magic 6 RSR has the brightest screen we've ever tested. The NanoCrystal coating really does its job. On the hardware side, the phone doesn't disappoint, and with 24GB of RAM, you'll be absolutely future-proof. The camera system is at least as good as the one in the regular Magic 6 Pro, which is up there with the big boys, and finally, the battery life and fast charging are amazing. So, if you need a special flagship phone with some added flair and you're willing to pay extra, the Magic 6 RSR is a great choice.

The Porsche Design Honor Magic 6 RSR is the definitive version of the Magic 6 Pro. It has unique styling thanks to a hexagonal camera island and a custom flyline design that's similar to what you get on Porsche's cars, and the distinctive colors allow the device to stand out. The rest of the features are identical to the standard Magic 6 Pro, so you get one of the best camera packages available today, a sublime 120Hz OLED panel, and powerful hardware. This is the ultimate expression of luxury, and if you don't mind shelling out $2,000 on a traditional phone, the Magic 6 RSR is the device for you.

I really like the HONOR Magic6 RSR. There are only two real complaints here for me. One is the price, and the other is the fact it won’t be available in the US. Otherwise, the Magic6 RSR excels at just about everything you throw at it, as it should. It also comes with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, which does help to justify the price, of course. And if you are planning to keep it for a few years, it’ll definitely be worth the price. The Falcon Camera system on the Magic6 RSR is simply incredible and likely will continue to improve too. It really is a shame that the government is trying so hard to keep phones like the HONOR Magic6 RSR out of the US because it’s nearly perfect.

Never really meant as a review-review, our brief exploration of the Magic6 RSR Porsche Design served its purpose. We won't be telling you to run to the store and buy one, since it's anything but a mainstream product and it can hardly justify its price premium over the already pretty solid (and not too affordable) Magic6 Pro. But we do like seeing some new tech every now and then, and we can picture some of the bits of this exclusive version trickling down into more ordinary devices.

I have absolutely loved using the Honor Magic 6 RSR; the cameras are great, the performance is top-notch, the battery life is astounding and the whole package feels extremely high quality. There’s no getting around the fact that it’s wildly expensive, but when you compare it to the 1TB Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, it doesn’t seem so bad. That phone costs £1549 in the UK, and comes with 12GB of RAM, no charger and no case. Comparatively, the RSR has 24GB of RAM, an extremely nice case and two 100W chargers in the box. It doesn’t seem like such a bad deal to me. Of course, you don’t get the same lengthy software support that Samsung offers. Here you get 4 OS upgrades and five years of security patches, to Samsung’s 7. But does anyone shopping in this price range really hold onto their phone for that long? I’m not so sure. The fact is, most people should just opt for the standard Magic 6 Pro, as it’s a better deal and offers 90% of the same experience.

The Honor Magic 6 RSR Porsche Design is an exceptional flagship phone that doesn’t shy away from showcasing its top-end features and specs. Apart from offering a stunning design layout, the phone gives tough competition to other mainstream brands just with the performance department. Plus, the photography and videography aspect isn’t that bad either. The users can expect great camera results, astounding gameplay, and decent content streaming. Moreover, the phone is equipped with an excellent battery life so that you can effortlessly get more screen time. But still, the phone lacks when it comes to Android updates and offers a decent video recording.

The Honor Magic 6 is the latest flagship smartphone from Honor at the start of 2024. So, Honor includes all the latest components with the highest technological improvements in the smartphone. This included a high-tech display, chipset, battery, and charger. Honor may have created a benchmark when it comes to the highest peak brightness display in a modern smartphone. Well, Honor had to cut some corners in the form of display protection and water and dust resistance. There’s no official IP rating on the smartphone, but it does have some sort of display protection but it’s not as good as Gorilla Glass protection in Samsung flagship smartphones or the Ceramic Shield protection in iPhones. But it also brings super-fast charging capabilities that are not found in those flagship smartphones. So, if water resistance and display protection are a priority for you, then you can go with other smartphones.
