Apple 令人惊讶的是,几个月前,最新一代的 M4 芯片已经在最新的 iPad Pro.事实证明,对于如此节俭的被动散热芯片而言,其单核性能尤其令人印象深刻。在高通公司(Qualcomm)的骁龙 X 精英处理器发布前不久,Apple ,成功地在竞争中占据了一席之地。现在,最新一代的芯片终于进入了更新的 MacBook。Air 机型似乎要等到明年年初,但 Pro 笔记本电脑现在配备了 M4、M4 Pro 和 M4 Max。在上市发布会上,我们看到了新款 M4 Pro 的完整配置(14 个 CPU 内核、20 个 GPU 内核),不久我们还将看到更小的 M4 Pro 和 M4 Max 的测试结果。

概述Apple M4 Pro

新款 M4 Pro SoC 的内核配置与前几代产品相比有很大不同,从性能角度来看,Apple ,Pro 和 Max 型号再次拉近了距离(至少在 CPU 方面)。现在,所有型号(M4 Pro 和 M4 Max)都只有四个高效内核,而不是六个高效内核,最高主频仅为 2.592 GHz(以前为 2.748 GHz)。

此外,现在有两个具有五个性能内核的集群,而入门级的 M4 Pro 只有四个。P 核心的时钟频率最高可达 4.512 GHz,所有核心的时钟频率最高可达 3.852 GHz(以前一个核心的时钟频率最高可达 4.056 Ghz,所有核心在负载情况下的时钟频率约为 3.6 GHz)。这意味着 M4 Pro 共有 14 或 16 个 CPU 内核。我们还注意到这方面的一个概念性变化,现在 M4 Pro 和 M4 Max 都有 14 个 CPU 内核(M4 Max 可选 16 个 CPU 内核)。

M4 Pro 继续使用 3 纳米工艺制造,尽管性能有所提高,但我们在旧款 M3 Pro(27-28 瓦)上测得的功耗低于 M2 Pro 型号(约 36 瓦)。相比之下,Apple ,其最大功耗已大幅提高。在多核满载的情况下,新款 M4 Pro 的功耗高达 46 瓦,在接下来的运行过程中,功耗稳定在 40 瓦左右,因此在峰值时,功耗要高出 60%。在单核负载下,其功耗约为 6-6.5 瓦;而在 M3 Pro 上,我们测得的功耗约为 5.5 瓦。

在 MacBook Pro 机型中,M4 Pro 配备 24 或 48 GB 内存。在新款 Mac Mini 中,M4 Pro 还可以与 64GB 内存组合使用,因为 Mac Mini 无法与 M4 Max 组合使用。Apple 已将内存带宽从 M3 Pro 的 150 GB/s(LPDDR5-6400)提高到 M4 Pro 的 273 GB/s(LPDDR5x-8533)。

两款 M4 Pro 的集成显卡也有一些不同。基本型号的图形处理器有 16 个核心,而速度更快的型号则有 20 个核心。在我们的测试中,顶级型号的最大功耗为 32 瓦,而我们测得的 M3 Pro GPU(18 个核心)的功耗为 28 瓦。与以往一样,我们无法读出 GPU 的时钟频率。两块 M4 Max GPU 分别配备了双倍的 GPU 内核(32 或 40)。

神经引擎得到了进一步改进,Apple ,目前还在大力推广其名为Apple Intelligence 的人工智能版本,所有 M4 芯片都支持该版本。另一个有趣的创新与 M4 有关,因为 MacBook Pro 机型内的 M4 SoC 支持 Thunderbolt 4 并改进了显示引擎,现在可以连接两个外部显示器(除内部面板外)。即将推出的 MacBook Air 机型也很有可能采用这种设计。下表总结了新一代 M4 SoC 最重要的技术数据:

测试程序

为了在不同的处理器和显卡之间进行有意义的比较,我们除了在合成基准测试中考察它们的纯性能外,还考察了它们的功耗,并据此确定了它们的效率。我们的功耗测量都是在外部显示器上进行的,这样可以排除不同内部显示器的影响因素。不过,我们测量的是系统的总体能耗,而不仅仅是 CPU 和 GPU 的显示值,因此不同的芯片尺寸(包括更多的 RAM 等)自然也会产生影响。这对我们的 MacBook Pro 14测试设备来说尤为重要,因为它配备了 48GB 内存,与配备 24GB 或 18GB 内存的机型(如旧款 M3 Pro)相比,功耗必然更高。

单核性能和效率

M3 处理器已经提供了非常出色的单核性能,将 AMD、英特尔和高通公司的竞争对手甩在了身后。只有英特尔的新款台式机处理器 Core Ultra 9 285K 能与 M3 SoC 相媲美。Apple 的新款 M4 处理器更胜一筹,进一步拉大了差距。P 核心的最高时钟频率比 M3 高出约 500 Mhz,因此性能比 M3 提升了 20% 以上。

与下一个最快的移动芯片 Snapdragon X Elite X1E-84-100 相比,它的优势接近 40%,而 Snapdragon X Elite X1E-84-100 目前只在三星Galaxy Book4 Edge 16 中使用。目前 AMD 和英特尔的 CPU 的劣势更大。

在分析效率时,我们主要依靠当前的 Cinebench 2024 测试,该测试可在所有平台(x86 和 ARM)上原生运行,因此为我们提供了最佳的比较机会。不过,我们的测量值有限,因此我们也使用了较早的 Cinebench R23 测试。

在单核效率方面,新款 M4 Pro 落后于大多数 M3 设备,尽管处理器的性能提升很容易弥补其额外的消耗。不过,由于我们讨论的是非常低的 CPU 核心消耗值(最大 6.5 瓦),其他因素(如额外的 RAM)可能会在一定程度上扭曲画面。在这一点上,我们已经开始期待配备 24GB 内存的基本版 M4 Pro 和配备 16GB 内存的普通版 M4 的表现。即便如此,所有其他移动处理器(包括 Lunar Lake、骁龙 X Elite/Plus、Zen5)尽管性能明显低于 M4 Pro,但在效率方面仍明显优于 M4 Pro。
