The OPPO Reno11 5G is a striking smartphone. It will certainly turn heads with its polarising design – whether you like it or not is your personal preference but it’s definitely eye-catching. However, the Reno11 just doesn’t feel like a next-generation product – it is a moderately tuned OPPO Reno10, which by itself wasn’t the most impressive smartphone in its price range. OPPO really needs to start paying more attention to the processor and battery of its phones to stand out in the competitive Indian smartphone market since these are key areas of interest. The cameras, which are supposed to be one of the Reno11’s standout features, also are quite inconsistent. The OPPO Reno11 5G faces off against an array of popular mid-range smartphones in the Indian market.

In this day and age, it’s safe to say that our phones are our most trusted companions. Tasked with making our responsibilities easier and getting errands done, our phones are a constant in our daily lives and it’s not often we’re caught without them. As such, it’s imperative that our phones not only perform well, but look good and feel good too. Enter the OPPO Reno11 5G Series, inspired by nature and developed for comfort. Aptly released on 11 January, the OPPO Reno11 series consists of the Reno11 Pro and Reno11. Its design embodies the best of style, nature, colour, and texture as the contrasting layers and slender body come together to make a sleek silhouette. The finishes of the phone also add an extra element of shine and sparkle to it. Here’s a closer look at how OPPO’s latest Reno phone was constructed with design and feel at the forefront.

Despite being a bit more expensive Reno10 5G, the Reno11 5G’s new main camera and added support for 4K selfies make it a promising mid-range phone that’s great for content creation. Granted that it’s very similar to the Reno10 5G, the Reno11 5G’s higher asking price is justified by the significantly better performance of its main camera–proof that Sony’s new LYT sensors will set a new benchmark when it comes to smartphone imaging.

Before concluding this review, we need to talk about price. The OPPO Reno11 5G has a price tag of 24,999 pesos for the 12GB+512GB configuration. Kind of a steep price, but the Reno11 has a great camera that’s able to capture subjects really well especially in well-lit environments and really good battery life. If that’s something you’re into and you like watching videos on your device leveraged on 5G data connectivity, you can’t go wrong with grabbing this guy as your new daily driver. But if you’re someone who likes upping the graphics in your mobile games and night photography, this might not be the one for you.

It's a bit difficult for us to dish out the verdict for this phone. It has the qualities we loved from the Pro variant but at the expense of inferior hardware. To put it into perspective, we could list two other phones in the same price range with better performance and specs. For instance, the Xiaomi 13T features the MediaTek 8200 SoC with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Sure, it has less RAM compared to the Reno 11. But what it lacks in RAM is made up with the newer gen of SoC and better battery life. This phone should cost you around RM1799 to RM1999. On the other hand, you can opt for ASUS ROG Phone 6. The phone might be a bit old, but don't let that discourage you. For a price of RM2299, you will be getting a phone with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage and Adreno 730 GPU. It's slightly pricey compared to the Reno 11, but it should offer you good value for money.

Barring photography, the new generation of Reno-series manages to hold its own and is for those users who are seeking a good-performance smartphone that could handle their day-to-day tasks plus more. The curved display and its amazing specs will also not disappoint users as this year Oppo has outdone itself in terms of the display department. Now if we look at its shortcomings then I was not flattered by the Wave Green color variant, therefore, users could also check out the Rock Grey option. Additionally, some users may also not like the pre-installed bloatware. Therefore, if you are looking for a high-performing, camera-savvy smartphone then you can skip this one, however, in terms of performance, it can be a good choice in the mid-range segment.

The OPPO Reno11 5G stands out with its exceptionally sleek 3D glass design delivering a premium aesthetic and tactile sensation that truly impresses. The smartphone offers versatile camera performance in the segment and stunning visuals with its 120 Hz AMOLED display. In addition to these, the 67W SuperVOOC Charge fast charging, stereo speakers, and ColorOS 14’s customizations and personalizations further enhance the overall user experience. All these make the Reno11 5G a well-rounded choice in its segment. For users with a budget over ₹30,000 and seeking a versatile and feature-packed smartphone, the Reno11 5G emerges as a compelling option.

From the table, you can see that while OPPO has a means to justify its asking price, it would be great if they could knock the retail price down by another S$100 to make it much easier to recommend over other midrange or high-end alternatives. Splitting hairs over differences at this fairly high price point is not the same as dwelling on differences on a mid-range phone half the price point like a Xiaomi Redmi phone.

The OPPO Reno11 Pro straddles the line between true midrange and budget flagship status at S$899, with both the price and performance in the middle of the pack. On the outset, Its price point makes it difficult to compare to other contenders, since it commands substantially more than a true midrange phone, like the Vivo V29 (S$649). And if you can stretch your budget, you can get a true high-end device like the Google Pixel 8 (S$1,099). If we compare Reno11 Pro to cheaper alternatives, the Vivo V29 is one of the closest alternatives in terms of performance and target audience, but it feels disingenuous since the V29 is a considerably more affordable true midrange phone at S$649. For the budget-conscious, the S$250 of savings is too significant to ignore.

The Reno series has always been OPPO's midrange handset lineup, and it differentiates itself by being a selfie-friendly mobile with a softer, but flashier aesthetic in its early days. OPPO has since evolved the Reno series into a portraiture photography phone, starting with the Reno10 series (Reno10 Pro+ review here). We've already covered the core specs and features of the OPPO Reno11 Pro's launch news, so our hands-on will focus a little more on the phone's headlining feature: that's everything OPPO has done to the Reno11 Pro's Ultra-Clear Portrait Camera System.

Greater than the sum of its parts, the Oppo Reno11 Pro makes for a solid midrange performer with an emphasis on capturing good portraiture. While it does command a premium price that puts it towards the upper range of midrange phones, it does boast of a quality 120Hz AMOLED display, good all-round performance, excellent battery life, a great set of cameras and a comprehensive bundled set of accessories, making it worthy of consideration.

Oppo Reno11 Pro is your average mid-range smartphone with an above average performance and display. The cameras, sadly, aren’t the best part about this smartphone, but Oppo’s “portrait expert” tagline is still close to accurate. Oppo Reno11 Pro is the latest mid-ranger from Oppo. The smartphone, launched at a price of Rs 39,999, comes with a lot going for it, but at the same time, doesn’t have anything that would excite an enthusiast like myself. We are getting a very similar package as to what we got last year with the Oppo Reno10 Pro, with incremental upgrades across the board. But do these incremental upgrades make the Oppo Reno11 Pro a worthy smartphone in the highly-competitive sub-Rs 40,000 segment? In this review, I look at the smartphone’s design, display, performance and software, battery, and camera to find out if the new Oppo Reno11 Pro is worth the investment. Let’s dive in.

Now you’re probably wondering how much the OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G costs. Well, it starts at PHP 31,999, making it PHP 2,000 more expensive than its predecessor. At the price, you get a great looking phone that can capture great content and even play games. The only downside is that you have a short battery life and a mono loudspeaker to contend with. If you’re someone who’s already bought the Reno10 Pro last year, the upgrade might not be worth it. But if you haven’t and want a relatively well-packaged phone with a really nice camera, you can’t go wrong with the OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G.

The battery life is sufficient for most users. For users seeking a blend of aesthetics and performance, the Oppo Reno 11 Pro is a very good option to consider. Having said that, it will face stiff competition, particularly from the recently-launched OnePlus 12R.

The video embedded above will give you a quick feature rundown of the OPPO Reno11 Pro if you’ve skipped the article. And if you’re reading this, here’s a quick wrap for you. This phone can handle moderately demanding tasks well. You can play titles like Asphalt and edit some videos on In-shot without breaking a sweat. Cameras on the Reno11 Pro work best in natural light, or amply lit situations especially in portrait mode. It will still get you good low-light shots but will lose some of its detail in doing so. You will like the software controls offered in the camera app, but OPPO could work better on colour correction and overall image accuracy. One of the strongest reasons to buy the OPPO Reno11 Pro is the battery optimization and fast charging. It can last the whole day and the charging also takes less than half an hour to juice up the phone from 0 to 100 percent. A USB-C to C charger would’ve been better, but the current USB-A to C brick also does the job well.

The OPPO Reno 11 Pro impresses with commendable battery life, strong performance, and a standout camera, particularly the portrait camera. Nevertheless, it falls short in areas such as lacking an IP rating, dual stereo speakers, and fixed storage. The video recording quality is not entirely accurate in representing colours. That said, the OPPO Reno 11 Pro is on the expensive side of the price spectrum. It still makes a good option, if you prefer design, imaging, and performance to user experience and frills such as ingress protection and wireless charging.

After spending two weeks with the device, I conclude that the Oppo Reno11 Pro 5G, priced at Rs 39,999, stands as an excellent choice for those seeking a well-rounded device. My only issue has been the Mediatek 8200 chipset which was launched in 2022. At a time when Poco X6 Pro ships with the superior Dimensity 8300 Ultra which offers a performance at par with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the Reno 11 Pro which is far higher priced dampens in essence. In a similar price range, one could consider the OnePlus 11R, which comes with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile. However, what I liked about the device includes its gorgeous display, versatile camera system, and smooth all-around performance. The Reno11 Pro excels as both a productivity and a creative multitasking tool. For style, photography enthusiasts, and general power users alike, the Reno 11 Pro comes as a decent choice.

Those who are looking for a great camera phone under Rs 40,000 that can also deliver smooth performance for most tasks can buy the new Oppo Reno 11 Pro. The device is not for heavy gamers looking for raw performance. For everyone else, the Reno 11 Pro, gets you a decent display, a premium design out of the box, and a solid battery that will get you through the day with light usage. There is also fast charging support for quick charges. All-in-all, the Oppo Reno 11 Pro is a good deal, and it gets a thumbs up from us.

Despite being a premium mid-range phone, the lag-free and responsive gaming experience makes it one of the best in its category. The rare issue shouldn't deter you from getting it because it's still an excellent choice for gaming. With advanced photography capabilities, Reno11 Pro also satisfies photography and videography needs. Especially if you are a content creator. It's also optimised for productivity with applications and features that simplify work tasks. Alternatively, you can go for the RM2199 OnePlus Nord 3 5G, which is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 4nm chipset, 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera and a 5000mAh battery that supports 80W SUPERVOOC charging. You can also consider the Samsung Galaxy M54 5G with Exynos 1380 5nm chipset, 108MP main camera and 6000mAh battery for RM2099.

The OPPO Reno11 Pro does feel priced on the higher side, and there are a bunch of more affordable alternatives available. For instance, if your priority is gaming, you may want to consider the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ powered iQOO Neo 7 Pro. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is also a solid option with its all-round specifications. And if you care about the software experience, the OnePlus Nord 3 is a solid choice, which coincidentally leverages the same IMX890 camera sensor used in the Reno11 Pro. In summary, the Reno11 Pro may not be the most powerful smartphone in its segment, but it’s easily one of the most flamboyant devices at any price bracket. This smartphone also has a lot to offer if your priority leans towards the camera. Moreover, Reno11 Pro’s 80W charging support makes it a more compelling option than Google and Samsung smartphones.

The Oppo Reno 11 Pro is essentially the same phone as last year's Reno 10 Pro with subtle improvements. Its design and texture treatment have changed, but apart from the notable performance and battery life improvements, there's really no need to upgrade to the new model if you are already using the Reno 10 Pro. While camera performance has improved (primarily in Portrait mode), it's once again no reason worth upgrading to as these are mainly qualitative upgrades and not exactly feature additions. Oppo continues to ignore the need for an official IP rating, avoiding something as basic as a stereo speaker setup while maintaining its high price, which did not work well last year and appears to meet a similar fate this year as well. The Oppo Reno 11 Pro is a well-built smartphone, but it will appeal to a very specific set of buyers as it does not offer good value. Making things worse for the Oppo Reno 11 Pro is the everchanging competition.

OPPO Reno 11 Pro continues the previous generation’s focus on portraits and its thin and light positioning. This generation uses a lot of Find’s unique technologies, which shows us that it is sincere enough to provide users with the best portrait images. experience. This 2x portrait lens, coupled with a super light and shadow image engine, uses more calculations to achieve fewer calculation traces, thus bringing portrait performance comparable to that of anSLR. Even in backlight environments, the subject of the figure is guaranteed to be clear and accurate. The light and shadow information is retained, greatly improving the film yield. This also allows us to see Reno’s ultimate pursuit of portrait experience. It combines this portrait lens with the algorithm of its own Find Top flagship to achieve a portrait experience comparable to that of an SLR. OPPO Reno11 Pro is also equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ flagship chip in an 8.19mm slim body, which ensures strong performance and brings a smooth experience to users in daily life and games.

There wasn’t a single area I felt the Oppo Reno 11 F put in a bad showing, considering its asking price – but equally there weren’t many areas where it properly blew me away. And with so many alternatives to choose from, I’m not convinced this is the affordable phone for everyone. It lacks the Nothing Phone 2a’s standout design; it can’t match the Poco X6 Pro for performance; and Oppo’s take on Android is busier than the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion. A Google Pixel 7a can be had for roughly the same money, and is the clear winner for photography. If you want a long-lasting handset that can brave the elements, though, the Reno is absolutely worth a look.

For the price of NPR 44,000, this phone is a decent option. Although the Galaxy A35 offers better specs (in a few segments), it is also more expensive and falls short in performance, an area where Oppo has paid attention. My main complaint with this phone is its single speaker – MEH! I was expecting a good set of stereo speakers but it is what it is. Additionally, having a glass back might have enhanced its appeal further. Apart from these points, everything else about the phone is quite good. Thus, for its price, the Oppo Reno 11F 5G is a decent mid-range option focused on efficiency and overall user experience. However, if you’re looking for better performance in a similar price range, consider the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus. It features the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset, which offers superior GPU and CPU performance, but at a slightly higher price of Rs. 47,999.

The Oppo Reno 11F is a good phone, and I’ve enjoyed using it. For a reasonable sum, you can expect a lovely display, excellent battery life, capable cameras and speedy charging. The problem comes from the competition. Oppo is selling the Reno 11F at a special introductory pre-order price of just £259, but the promotion only runs for 7 days, starting on April 8, 2024 over on Oppo’s website, then the Reno 11F will jump up to its usual selling price of £349. At the promotional price, this phone is a steal. You’d have a very hard time matching the quality and specifications without spending significantly more. However, at full price, I think there are more compelling options, and the Reno 11F doesn’t do enough to stand out from the crowd. For example, the Honor Magic 6 Lite is cheaper, has a longer-lasting battery, and comparable specs elsewhere.

Performance has been a bit more hit and miss. Everyday running has been a bit more hit and miss. Things are improving however, and you can game on Genshin Impact, PubG etc on the Reno 11F 5G. As long as you don't boost the graphics. Oppo's camera setup is typical for this price point. You'll get good photos on the Oppo Reno 11F 5G if the lighting isn't too dodgy, but the video chops aren't as strong. And while you can expand the storage and I like the ColorOS experience, this phone has other drawbacks. Such as a lack of stereo audio output.

Now, you might have realized that I’m pretty much speedrunning this entire review. It’s not because I think this phone is uninteresting, but because this phone in itself is pretty simple. However, the price of it is what enticed me the most. For just RM1,399, you can buy the OPPO Reno11 F. When we compare it with OPPO’s very own Reno11 5G, this phone is a few hundred Ringgit cheaper. The main differences are mostly within the camera aspect. But they both use the same screen, same chipset, and have the same battery capacity and also the same fast charger. Immediately, the Reno11 F becomes a very good choice.

To wrap this up, the OPPO Reno11 F 5G might not be the top dog in the pack, but it’s one of the playful pups that wags its tail the hardest. Sure, it might not be the most hardcore gamer out there, but it knows how to entertain with smooth performance and an above-average battery life. The “F” might stand for “fun,” but it also seems to stand for “functionality.” Bloatware might be a bit of a buzzkill, and the design language might be a tad inconsistent in my opinion, but these are minor gripes in the grand scheme of things. If you’re looking for a phone that delivers a solid performance, vibrant visuals, great cameras, and a touch of personality without breaking the bank, the OPPO Reno11 F 5G deserves a spot on your shortlist. Speaking of, we currently don’t have the final price for the OPPO Reno11 F 5G, but we’ll update this article once the device officially launches in the Philippines.

Equipped with dual microphones, the Enco Buds 2 Pro use AI technology to filter out background noise, helping you sound clearer during phone calls. They’re advertised to last up to eight hours on a single charge when listening to music, stretching out to 38 hours with the included charging case. Available in Australia starting on 1 March, you’ll be able to grab the affordable earbuds from Oppo’s website. Although they may not have active noise cancellation like many of the best headphones, it’s perfectly reasonable for the low asking price. The new mobile tech on the way adds to the brand’s fast start to 2024, having already launched the Oppo A79 5G and A18 phones. Recently crowned the fourth best-selling phone company in the world by the IDC, Oppo seems to be doing pretty well for itself.

The Oppo Reno11 F is a decent mid-range phone, which is capable of providing high-end graphics and performance. Besides this, the Oppo phones are known for their stunning camera quality, and it’s also appropriate for this phone. Apart from offering an impressive design, the phone also good display, superb camera, and long-lasting battery. Although, the phone does lack when it comes to real-time photography. Following this, the device is exclusive to the Thailand smartphone market. If the device isn’t available in your country, then you should consider getting a different phone. The Redmi Note 13 Pro could be the perfect alternative to this smartphone as you will receive better camera support, faster charging, and a high-end display. Not to forget, you will also receive improved MIUI 14 customization. After going through alternatives, make the final decision that fits your requirements and budget.
