箱子和设备 - 重,但保护得很好
CAT S53是一款真正的加固型手机,不仅可以防水防尘,而且由于其加固的底盘和凹陷的屏幕,还可以很好地承受跌落。这在重量上也很明显:CAT手机的重量为320克,即使在户外手机中也不算轻。
上一代产品,即 CAT S52,希望能更优雅。我们的测试设备第一眼看上去就像一个经典的工作电话。因此,有一个略微粗糙的表面,这有助于CAT S53不那么容易从手上滑落,背面有一个抓地的凹槽图案,背面有一个巨大的相机模块。在上边缘还有一个LED灯,其亮度高达120流明。此外,相机模块中还有一个LED闪光灯,可以永久激活。

通信、软件和操作 - 旧的操作系统
通过CAT S53,制造商还首次为其户外手机之一带来了5G连接。相当多的频率可用于目前最快的移动标准,也可用于4G,因此,即使在旅行时,你也可以用智能手机冲浪。在我们测试期间的随机测试中,移动接收证明是好的,但还没有达到高端智能手机的水平。

CAT S53的操作系统仍然基于Android 11,测试时的安全补丁是2022年7月的。对于企业客户来说,一个较早的Android 版本可能是可取的,因为内部编写的应用程序必须适应每个新的Android 版本。然而,至少安全应该是在一个较新的水平上。毕竟,CAT只预装了几个第三方的应用程序,可以很容易地删除。

照相机--不是很有说服力
索尼的IMX582被用作主相机的传感器。它提供了4800万像素的分辨率,但默认情况下将四个像素合二为一,这样就可以获得更好的出光率,并创建1200万像素的照片。背面还有一个低分辨率的微距相机,可用于极端特写的特殊模式。

视频最多能以1080p和30帧的速度录制。材料的清晰度在这里也可以更高,但至少自动对焦工作得相当快,而且亮度调节效果很好。
自拍相机具有1600万像素的高分辨率。在这里,照片看起来也有点酷,放大后很有颗粒感。
因此,CAT S53不是一款适合摄影爱好者的手机,但该相机对于快照或记录来说是足够的。
