Arrow Lake-HCPU 采用台积电的先进节点制造:N3B用于 CPU 芯片,N5B用于 GPU 芯片,N6用于 SoC 和 I/O 组件。然后,英特尔使用其Foveros 3D 封装技术组装芯片。据英特尔称,封装技术的改进使芯片尺寸缩小了 33%。

Lunar Lake一样,Arrow Lake-H采用Lion Cove性能内核和Skymont效率内核。不过,与以前的Redwood CoveP 内核相比,一个关键的变化是不再支持超线程技术。这意味着,虽然酷睿至尊 7 255H配备了 16 个内核,但它只能同时处理 16 个线程,而流星湖酷睿至尊 7 155H(同样配备 16 个内核)可支持 22 个线程。尽管如此,多核性能有望得到显著提升。

多核性能和效率

Lunar Lake处理器只有8 个内核,多核性能有限。相比之下,新的Arrow Lake芯片具有16 个内核和更高的功耗限制,自然在多线程工作负载中更具优势。不过,功耗限制对性能起着至关重要的作用,因为英特尔的新 CPU 在短负载场景和合成基准测试中表现出色。在Geekbench 6Cinebench R23多核测试中,它们的性能基本与 AMD 的 Zen 5 芯片相当。

但是,当运行较长的持续工作负载时,如Cinebench 2024多核测试,短期功耗优势就会消失。在实际场景中,大部分基准测试在华硕 Zenbook Duo上以35W/24W的功耗运行,在微星 Prestige 16 上以45W的功耗运行。在这些条件下,酷睿至尊 9 285H只能与英特尔视为主要竞争对手的Ryzen AI 9 365 相媲美。

尽管如此,我们认为Ryzen AI 9 HX370才是真正的竞争对手,因为它的性能超过了英特尔的产品。此外,Snapdragon X EliteCPU 的性能可与英特尔媲美甚至更高,而Apple的标准M4芯片尽管功耗明显低于英特尔的酷睿 Ultra 9 285H,但却能与英特尔的酷睿 Ultra 9 285H 相媲美。同时,M4 Pro芯片的速度要快得多。

不同功率限制下的性能

由于最终性能因笔记本电脑型号和功率限制而有很大差异,我们还在控制功率设置的情况下运行了Cinebench 2024多核基准测试。为此,我们使用了ThrottleStopUniversal x86 Tuning Utility,不过这些工具仅限于英特尔和AMD处理器。

微星 Prestige 16 中,处理器的最大功耗为55 瓦。一旦获得更多数据,我们将提供更高功率限制的结果。

测试再次证实,酷睿至尊 9 285H无法与Ryzen 9 AI HX370 竞争,其性能与Ryzen AI 9 365 相当。有趣的是,酷睿至尊 9 285H酷睿至尊 7 155H(内核数量相同)之间的性能差距相对较小,在28-55 瓦的 TDP 值范围内,性能提升幅度为8 - 22%

一个重要的启示是,Arrow Lake在较低的功率限制下表现异常出色,但在较高的 TDP 值下,回报率逐渐降低。在55 瓦时,性能差异仅在个位数百分比范围内,这表明Arrow Lake并未从极端功耗扩展中获得显著优势。

还需要对更多设备进行进一步测试,但Arrow Lake芯片在80 瓦以上可能几乎没有性能优势--这是许多高性能多媒体笔记本电脑可以持续承受的功耗水平。另一方面,Arrow Lake芯片在仅20 瓦时的性能已经超过了Lunar Lake芯片,凸显了其在较低功耗水平下的效率。

结论--箭湖显示了英特尔目前存在的问题

在我们的分析中,新的Arrow Lake移动处理器给人留下了好坏参半的印象。作为 "流星湖"一代的后继产品,它们现在使用了"月球湖"相同的内核,从而提高了性能和效率,尤其是在20 瓦至 45 瓦的较低功耗限制下。酷睿至尊 9 285H具有稳定的单核性能,可与 AMD Ryzen AI 9 365尽管 Ryzen AI 9 HX 370仍然遥不可及。英特尔缩小了与竞争对手的差距,但并未取得领先地位。高通公司的 Snapdragon X Elite芯片在高功耗水平下提供了更好的多核性能和更高的整体效率,而Apple的 M4代处理器继续在不同的性能水平上运行。

Meteor Lake 一样,Arrow Lake-H处理器的TDP范围很宽,从28 瓦到 115 瓦不等,这给终端用户带来了一些挑战。仅凭处理器的型号并不能准确反映实际性能,因为不同笔记本电脑的功耗限制和散热解决方案各不相同。这意味着 酷睿至尊 7 255H的性能可能比 Core Ultra 9 285H的性能更好,这取决于系统的冷却和功率分配。短期功率峰值较高(例如在 微星 Prestige 16 AI Evo等)也会对电源适配器造成压力,迫使某些笔记本电脑短暂地从电池中汲取电能。

英特尔NPU 性能较弱和缺乏Copilot+认证的问题轻描淡写,而把重点放在整个平台的AI能力上,尤其是GPU

Lunar LakeArrow Lake之间的重叠说明了英特尔当前面临的开发挑战。由于低功耗的Arrow Lake芯片性能已经超过了Lunar Lake,后者开始显得多余。与其把Lunar Lake功耗推到30 瓦以上,不如把重点放在被动冷却设计上。不过,如果目前的报道准确的话,即将推出的Panther Lake处理器可能会解决这个问题。

尽管存在这些问题,Arrow Lake-H处理器仍有可能获得成功,因为英特尔与AMD 不同,在供货方面仍然很强大。在接下来的几周里,预计将有许多搭载 Arrow Lake 处理器的新笔记本电脑发布。一旦我们获得Core Ultra 7Core Ultra 5型号的性能数据,我们将对本文进行相应更新。
