设计T14 机箱，铝质底盖
联想 ThinkPad P14s Gen 4 Intel 仍基于 联想 ThinkPad T14 Gen 3的基础上，于 2022 年推向市场。当年重新设计的一部分是 16:10 的宽高比和全新的深灰色机身--这与回归纯黑设计的新款 ThinkPad 形成了鲜明对比。深黑色喷漆看起来没有那么高档，但却不易沾染灰尘和油脂。一个新的设计特点是网络摄像头的反向凹槽。如果你不喜欢这种新的设计特征，ThinkPad P14s Gen 4 等旧机型可能是个不错的选择，因为它仍然没有网络摄像头凸起。
虽然 ThinkPad P14s G4 看起来像 ThinkPad T14 G4，但它们并不相同。ThinkPad P14s G4 英特尔版的底盖是铝制的，而 T 版则使用了强化塑料。这里底座的稳定性更好，几乎无法扭曲。掌托几乎没有弯曲，键盘也是如此--下面的镁合金框架起到了帮助作用。由于没有金属加固，屏幕盖的柔韧性稍差，但仍然相当坚固。

联想 ThinkPad P14s G4 Intel 并不是一款轻薄的笔记本电脑--联想称机身厚度为 17.9 毫米，但我们测量的厚度为 22.7 毫米。重量为 1.45 千克，这意味着我们的评测设备比全新的联想 ThinkPad P14s 5 代英特尔轻约 150 克。与第五代产品相比，P14s G5 的宽度也有所减小，但尽管 14.5 英寸的显示屏更大，其深度却并不深。这要归功于更小的屏幕边框。
连接性：小型工作站，可选配无线局域网

安全
移动工作站属于商务笔记本电脑的范畴。对于联想 ThinkPad P14s Gen 4 Intel 来说，安全功能的选择范围很广。其中包括 Kensington 锁插槽、专用 TPM 芯片、智能卡读卡器、指纹识别器和红外网络摄像头，以便使用 Windows Hello 快速登录。此外，ThinkPad 笔记本电脑还配备了物理网络摄像头快门，以提高私密性。
配件
作为包装盒中唯一的配件，联想随 ThinkPad P14s Gen 4 Intel 提供了一个 100 W USB-C 充电器。
维护

保修
联想为 ThinkPad P14s Gen 4 提供三年保修服务。第一年内，包括现场保修在内的高级支持服务有效。之后，它将变为标准的带入保修，这意味着设备必须送修。如果支付额外费用，服务期限可延长至五年，并可增加更长的电池保修期或现场服务等附加服务。由于这是一种商业模式，因此保修在国际范围内都有效，但这里始终只适用于带入服务。
输入设备：已知的高品质 ThinkPad 键盘
联想 ThinkPad P14s Gen 4 英特尔版的输入设备与其他 2022 和 2023 款 ThinkPad 基本相同。联想在舒适的背光键盘（两级）（1.5 毫米行程，略微凹陷的 Chiclet 键，布局合理）下面放置了一块经典的机械点击板（11.5 x 6 厘米）。它由塑料制成，因此质量不如一些同类玻璃触控板，但在可用性方面，我们没有什么可抱怨的。另外，红色的 ThinkPad TrackPoint 配有三个专用按键，中间的按键用于滚动。在这种情况下，由 ELAN 生产的 TrackPoint 可以完美地实现鼠标指向功能，是触摸板的绝佳替代品。
值得注意的是，FN 键仍然是这款 ThinkPad 键盘上最靠左的键，这也是迄今为止 ThinkPad 的典型特征。在新款 2024 ThinkPad 上，联想将 Ctrl 键和 FN 键进行了调换。如果一个人习惯于这种特殊的排列方式，那么这对 P14s G4 来说可能是个利好消息。
显示屏：高质量 OLED 面板，也可采用 PWM 技术
与联想 ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 Intel 采用更大的 14.5 英寸格式不同，PC 制造商仍然为 ThinkPad P14s Gen 4 Intel 使用更常见的 14 英寸尺寸。提供以下 16:10 显示器：

竞争对手使用的都是 IPS 屏幕，在响应时间和对比度方面无法与联想 ThinkPad P14s Gen 4 Intel 的 OLED 屏幕相比。AMD P14s G4 和惠普 ZBook Firefly 14 G10 都使用了分辨率较低的 WUXGA 液晶屏，而戴尔Precision 5490 则采用了 WQXGA（2,560 x 1,600）显示屏--在屏幕亮度方面，这种 IPS 面板（485 cd/m²）是唯一能击败 ThinkPad 有机屏幕（432 cd/m²）的屏幕。
OLED 屏幕的典型特点是使用脉宽调制（PWM）来调光。360 Hz 的频率并不算极低，但有时仍会出现问题。

显示屏出厂时已校准，使用 X-Rite i1Pro 3 和 iProfiler 进行校准也没有任何改进。预装了多种色彩配置文件，可根据色域进行选择。除了默认配置文件外，我们还测量了 sRGB 和 P3 配置文件。联想的校准效果不错，Colorchecker 的 deltaE 值分别为 1.2 和 1.4，足够低，表明色彩准确度很高。
联想 ThinkPad P14s Gen 4 Intel 的 OLED 面板覆盖了 sRGB 和 P3 色域。甚至 AdobeRGB 色域也基本覆盖。这块屏幕非常适合处理色彩。
由于显示屏是半亚光/半磨砂的，因此会有一些反光，但会有所减少。由于 OLED 面板具有相当高的亮度和良好的对比度，联想 ThinkPad P14s G4 Intel 仍适合在户外使用。

性能猛禽湖与 Nvidia RTX A500 的结合
联想销售的 ThinkPad P14s Gen 4 英特尔版仅配备猛禽湖一代的 P28 CPU，其中包括 英特尔酷睿 i5-1340P, i5-1350P, i7-1360P和 i7-1370P作为可选项。Iris Xe 和 Nvidia RTX A500组成 GPU 选择。

处理器
英特尔 英特尔酷睿 i7-1370P是 P28 系列中最强大的 Raptor Lake 芯片。作为唯一一款拥有 14 个内核的 Raptor Lake P CPU，它有 6 个大 P 内核（1.9 至 5.2 GHz）和 8 个 E 内核（1.4 至 3.9 GHz）。为便于与其他 CPU 进行比较，我们的 CPU 基准列表是一个很好的工具。

噪音
