外壳和连接
与较大的 XMG Evo 15一样,制造商选择使用坚固的铝制外壳,只不过 Evo 14 的外壳不是黑色的,而是深灰色的。因此,它对指纹痕迹的敏感度要低得多。它的整体稳定性非常好,铰链也非常紧密,因此在调整盖子角度时,摇晃幅度很小。其最大开启角度接近 180 度。
与目前大多数其他 14 英寸笔记本电脑相比,Evo 14 配备了大量连接设备,包括千兆以太网和全读卡器。不过,让我们感到疑惑的是,为什么三个普通 USB-A 端口中只有一个支持旧的 2.0 标准。它的维护选项也很不错,有两个内存插槽(最大 96 GB)和两个 M.2 2280 SSD 插槽。尽管如此,机箱整体仍然相当紧凑,重量仅为 1.46 千克,也不算太重。
WLAN 模块(英特尔 AX210)的传输速率非常高且稳定,但还不支持 Wi-Fi 7。网络摄像头支持微软的 Studio Effects,拍照效果不错,由于配备了红外传感器,还可以通过 Windows Hello 进行面部识别。功能齐全的读卡器似乎不太喜欢我们的参考卡(最高 90 MB/s);使用另一张卡(威刚 V90)时,它的速度超过了 250 MB/s。这意味着,使用哪张卡会产生很大的差异。
黑色背光键盘与灰色外壳形成鲜明对比,打字手感一般,但较大的按键会发出较大的噪音。玻璃点击板(12.3 x 7.7 厘米)一般都能正常使用,但我们建议只使用点击板进行输入。机械点击发出的声音很大,感觉不是特别高质量。

Evo 14 使用两个风扇,日常使用时非常安静。即使在游戏或压力测试中,我们在 "发烧友 "模式下测得的最大噪音也只有 37.6 分贝(A)。不过,在使用平衡模式时,设备会变得更加安静(最大 29 dB(A))。在"超增压 "模式下,我们听到了 44.6 dB(A)的巨响,但这并不值得,因为功率并没有增加多少。我们的测试设备没有发出其他电子噪音。
除了底部有一个热点外,其表面温度完全无害。尤其是键盘区域始终保持着宜人的温度。不过,在大量使用时应避免皮肤接触底部。
尽管采用了高分辨率 120 Hz 面板,但这款笔记本电脑的闲置功耗非常低,我们在负载情况下也没有发现任何问题。我们测得的最大功耗为 83 瓦,在压力测试中该值很快趋于平稳,约为 76 瓦。100 瓦的电源完全够用。该设备的 80 瓦时电池可提供良好的电池运行时间,但这甚至被一些竞争对手超越。在 WLAN 测试中,我们测得的运行时间略低于 12 小时(150 cd/m²)和 9:40 小时(最大亮度)。在 120 Hz 的情况下,每种情况下都要少用 60 分钟左右。在视频测试中,它的续航时间达到了 15.5 小时。
